I don't get the deal with people saying you need to do 200+ skydive jumps (some places even say 1000) before even taking a BASE class. I mean, that's an entire separate undertaking in itself. At that point, you're taking up skydiving, not BASE. Sounds like an industry scam to me. A way to keep people out of BASE, keep the cliffs clear and rake in some cash at the same time, hoping that most people will quit before they get to 200 or 1000 skydives from being discouraged.
it depend of the way of think of everybody, some people say you need lot of skydive because they don't feel ready for base, some need way less, i start base at 16O skydive, alone, i juste feel ready and do my best to learn everything and be ready to jump It's not about if you have enough jump to start, it's about if you are ready for it and if this sport is made for you or not
