If they would have looked at it in the beginning you could see that it would not be a catastrophic release of water. Just the width of the slide would prevent that. It over topped the slide and is now eroding it away back down to the original river bed. The amount of flow is about the same as spring runoff only of shorter duration. There will be some debris pushed into Fraser and down into the straight.
That whole area has how many population? May be 200. No lost of life .That is for sure. But those have not been paying any tax illegally catching all the salmon for years will cry their lost of harvesting and ask for tax payer to compensate them for sure. All money grape in process. Terrible fink news.
