Great video Nick 🤙 on the haters that say “you’ll stress out the fish”.... how are you not gonna stress out the fish catching any type of way. The only way you won’t stress a fish out is by sitting on that couch making ridiculous comments like that lol
*Used this rod recently on a river hike in NH. It performed beautifully **enjoyable.fishing** recommend as I had hoped it would, on a whole heap of river smallies using tiny torpedoes and tubes.*
I agree. Catching fish on ultralight is a blast. To catch a 3-5lbs fish on a setup that would normally be considered maxed out at 2lbs is so much fun.👍👍👍
I’m curious why the Calcutta wasn’t included. If you’re still looking at these comments it would be nice to know! And if it wasn’t included because it wasn’t ready to go, then how would it compare?
I haven't noticed my scorpion bfs being "grindy" at all, but I haven't put it through nearly as much work as you have. I did just order a suppressor rod to pair with it. Hopefully I can get into some inshore kayak fishing soon. I'm in really central Texas.
Great video! Love ultralight fishing... ther only downside I have is when the fish is next to the boat , would like a little more backbone then! Good job
I prefer baitcasters but wanted an ultralight setup........ guess I'm going with a spinning reel with those kind of prices, and the kastking bfs has too many issues
I’m looking for a bfs that can throw various sizes of lures for saltwater blackish water . Distance is very important to me . What would you recommend?
Awesome! Did you end up changing out the bearings in the Steez air to CRBBs to be able to fish your brackish waters? And for the Steez air and alphas air, how much line do you spool on?
@@RXAngler always man, I love em all. I usually wake up mad early for trips than I should have so got like an hour to kill and always get to catch up on what y'all got going down south. Not often I say this but check out a few of my trout videos man. We got some beast up here in Virginia, think you personally would like em. I'm so jealous of y'all's inshore red fishing tho! And y'alls waterways are so interesting to me
I love my aldebaron bfs but I've decided to get a Calcutta conquest bfs!. Did you use mono backing for your bfs shimanos or did you tie the braid straight on like I did?
What a great video, i have a question I recently received a 2nd generation bug natural tan color for my birthday and I wonder if it gonna combine with Galveston’s bay water ?
So happy you replied haha $300 I seen one that Mark used but he said it wasn’t meant for saltwater. Crazy how you dropped this video as I’m looking lol. But I watch every episode 👌🏽

Nick: casually fishin with 2.5k+ of baitcasters.
Me: fishin with a 45 dollar Shakespeare combo.
Lmfao
Got to start somewhere...

Great video. I have the Steez SV TW. Nice reel. My favorite BFS reel is the Shimano Calcutta Conquest BFS!
Good info. Haters gonna hate especially since you slam good fish
So true
I’m curious why the Calcutta wasn’t included.
If you’re still looking at these comments it would be nice to know!
And if it wasn’t included because it wasn’t ready to go, then how would it compare?
I was surprised you didn't have the Shimano Aldebaran BFS it's my go to for finesse fishing.
I haven't noticed my scorpion bfs being "grindy" at all, but I haven't put it through nearly as much work as you have.

What ILB test are you using for your setups? You didn't list it in the description. :(
Great vibes, much better than the usual drivel normally accompanying videos, well done.
You made a movie 🍿 lol good delivery 🤙🏽
I have the Suppressor UL but with the Reel that MDLR uses. The Lew’s Custom lite and i love it
Great combo
Can you throw 1/16oz with the lews custom lite
Good looking reds
Good stuff and to all the haters he has "Better Fish Son"
Can u throw 1/8 oz on a regular set up the buggs lures
Yes you can. But, I wouldn’t go over a medium light action rod and nothing heavier than 20 lb braid and 20 lb leader. Spinning reel will be easier.
Hi, can you link me those gloves please? thx!
Where is Shimano Aldebaran bfs??
Great video! Love ultralight fishing... ther only downside I have is when the fish is next to the boat , would like a little more backbone then! Good job
That’s what makes it challenging
Nice compare and Video Nick, thx for the info great fishes.
What about the Aldebaran 16 bfs xg, maybe not saltwater proof ?
👍🇳🇱👍258

daiwa alphas air

Everything is stock. I have about 100 yards of the Varivas #0.8
what water or city is this.
😲 WOW let's go 🔥
Sooo much money on that yak!! And the yak!! Great video as always
Appreciate you. Thanks for watching.

I used electrical tape
what do you think of the Calcutta Conquest BFS HG compared to theses
Check out the review I made for that reel

Great video!!! Good information on the different reels and rods! Keep them coming!
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching 🤟
Thought this was freshwater fishing. U said 12 and I was like what. U caught a red and I said "ooooo"
nicely done!
Thanks David!
Good reviews 👍🏻
Thanks for the great info! What's your union knot for leader?
Uni Uni
What a great video, i have a question I recently received a 2nd generation bug natural tan color for my birthday and I wonder if it gonna combine with Galveston’s bay water ?
Buggs works great on the upper coast.
Great video Nick. How about a more budget friendly BFS set ups. These rigs are closer to my surf rigs in price. Keep doing what you are doing.
Yes, good idea.
Have you tried the Tatula Sv or coastal Sv? Any thoughts of them
I have the coastal. It’s an excellent reel
I’ve been using the old 18 hollow point with a LEWs speed spool
Nice combo!
Bro we are in Texas haters go'n hate, and playas go'n play.
Awesome video!
Thanks! I appreciate it 👊
Selling my Concept Z now! Need one of these in my life 🙌🏼🇺🇸🎣👀
I agree. Ultralight is the way to go.
What about ultralight spinning reel rated for Saltwater? That can catch Donkeys
What’s your budget?
So happy you replied haha $300
I seen one that Mark used but he said it wasn’t meant for saltwater. Crazy how you dropped this video as I’m looking lol. But I watch every episode 👌🏽
You will be extremely happy with this one
