That and affixes that punish healers just for being healer. Stuff like bursting or afflicted need to be slightly reworked to give rest of team more agency. instead of just a heal check based on how zug your group is for bursting and imo afflicted and incorporeal should be combined into same thing so you can dispel, heal, or cc. The amount of pugs that don’t even bother and just leave me to heal group and get both spirits myself is a huge incentive to not run as healer and we’re already the hardest spot to fill in m+
I actually hate the affixes overall. Since they removed the m+ system that had extra stuff (like obelisks from BFA) in keys 10 and up, it just feels like a terrible grind. I like that they staggered the debuffs better but the heal affixes feel horrible. It pushes away a lot of healers and can be a "skip week" for a lot of players.

since I am a huge open world and hypercasual enjoyer I'd actually prefer them to make a separate Mage Tower and let delves be this content that you can eventually outgear at the end of the season. Absolutely not against mage tower stuff and loved it in Legion but I think Delves can be this fun, lay back running through a maze and adventuring thing that you can conquer over time.

It is not meant to be sweaty. Sweaty content can be added separated from Delves.
I think affliction is getting a rework that hasn’t been announced yet, specifically because the soul harvester hero talents read very weird if their current gameplay isn’t being adjusted. One of the talents says that maelific rapture “costs one less soul shard”, which doesn’t make sense with the current design. Maelific rapture only costs one share, and other talents that give you free raptures have the wording of a “free” cast, implying that rapture is going to have its shard cost increased in some way. The tree also focuses heavily on nightfall which right now is a pretty unimpactful proc that doesn’t influence their gameplay much. The demo side of the talents focuses on demon cores which are a major part of their gameplay, suggesting that nightfall procs are going to become more important.
Oh verticality on final boss is gonna be interesting Climbing up the stairs on sennarth was, thematically, really cool. The gimmicky nature of it was a nit weird, but overall i still kinda like the boss
The Fix to affixes is a Simple as ADDING a Benefit when you perform the act of the affix. Haste buff or something, Enemies take damage from volcanic ect ect.
Dungeons are easy as they are. Making them even more boring with buff affixes makes no sense. Casuals are ruining m+ wish blizzard didn't listen to them
Looks cool so far, will have to wait and see if delvs will live up to hype. Wish blizzard would open up normal and heroic raids to be queueable and remove the weekly lockout though. Its a thing of the past and needs to evolve.

I agree with affixes. The best weeks after the ones where the is very little impact from them. I think already alternating between bolstering and tyrannical is good, but then they should rework affixes so they're actually just kind of fun and not so punishing. I'd remove bolstering, sanguine, and other clearly stupid affixes that make them game empty for a week.
Nothing wrong with extra difficulty in m+ but for the love of god, don't make it so it feel like you need X class to get rid of X affixes to push, and definitely make it so it feels like healers aren't the ones who needs to take care of 30 affixes + party + everything else, cus it feels like that (for me) this entire expansion and its quite annoying to deal with..

I'm really hoping that MM Hunter defensives are looked at in War Within. We have a few, but it feels terrible when you're rolling the CDs you have and there comes a time where you just die. I'm not sure if additional passives need to be added (Like Aspect of the Iron Hawk expansions ago) or if we just need a rework of them entirely. As someone who played a Necrolord MM hunter at the tail end of Shadowlands, having one more defensive in Fleshcraft was HUGE to QoL. You could whittle the cooldown of it and you could use it for the 20% damage reduction while channeling and also got the shield it provided. It allowed me to do harder content and push keys without feeling like a complete glass cannon. Thanks for the insight as always, Max!
@@DoctorTako Yeah I've played MM exclusively since MoP (and surv before that) and we're really hurting defensively. We have OK cooldowns, but they have longer CDs and are mostly reactive, not proactive. It was amazing what one single CD in fleshcraft did to the overall defensive feel of the spec in SL. The hero trees haven't addressed that yet, so I'm hoping the class/spec trees will. I know I should just play BM, but my channel is built on the spec that I love the most, which is MM. I get my AotC/KSH+ every season, but it's hard when new players don't even bother with the spec because BM can do everything better than MM/Surv can currently.

How broken dwarf racial is, is a different subject, they gotta nerf it hard with overall pruning of defensives, cause this make you so much ahead on m+ it is ridiculous. Not even mentioning the 2% crit dmg which is sick on it's own

My biggest problem with M+ was always that there wasnt a simple queue with an elo system, i hated spending hours applying to groups and getting declined for no reason. They could still keep the team builder like it is now but they should add a queue for m+ where you get paired with other people around your skill level (just like queueing for normal dungeons but with elo)
the thing is that solo q is not gonna solve the problem entirely, the underlying issue is that there are way more dps than healers or tanks, in the perfect world the ratio between dps and healers/tanks should be 3/2, instead it’s conservatively more like 5/2 or 6/2 and in lower keys it’s even worse, maybe as high as 10+/2, for example look at solo shuffles were dps have 40+ min queues for a 10 minute match.
I play prot warr and basically prot exclusively. I wish they would do something to allow prot to have more utility. For m+, they come out with affixes that prot cant do really anything to help. Cant offheal, cant dispel, can't do a full stun for incorp. Just feels super bad that some tanks have everything.
They need to change the affixes since they are already squishing keystone levels. Each key level will be like a 30-40% increase in difficulty instead of the usual 7%, then it will suck to have affixes with flat% like Fortitude Tyrannical and Bolster... I think you will need to level delves only once, then it will be open to chose any level on any member of your Warband.
Do you think they would be willing to allow you to combine gear to get it to a higher tier. I played prot pally this season maxed out my vault every week I got 4 489 pieces and that felt bad because I’m 485 and some people are just lucky and get 488 because every single piece is 489 from vault minus crafted. Specially scale at 483 took me weeks to get it to drop and then the chances of me getting it in the vault is like 1 in 80 or something. I’d like to see some kind of farm ability like in I got 2 483 scales I could turn them into a 483 2/4 myth track scales. But just having bad luck and taking coins one week I had to trade them all for gold because I had the maximum gem adding pieces allowed and the max coins allowed because I got absolutely nothing from vault. Or you can buy an item with vault coins to upgrade an item to myth that way there is a cap to it.
I would love to see a video on how difficult Delves can be assuming that you do them solo and with no gear from Raid, PvP or M+. They are calling Delves a new type of endgame content so they should provide enough challenge for solo players that don't do group based endgame content.
affixes should give a buff if done correctly. or be something that isn't 'doable' but rather is like a overall pro/con modification for the whole instance

God I miss 10 man raids... with such aggresive guild recruitments you have difficulty having 20 ppl to stay for another tier after clearing the mythic. It becomes so annoying for me and friends cause there's like 14 of us who always play together but the latter 6+ always rotate every raid tier.. Just give us 10 man raids ffs.
My only concern with warbands is possible player confusion or unnecessary complexity. Like is there going to be BoE, BoP, Account-Bound, and Warband-Bound(Warbound?). Are things that are BoP able to be transferred between Warband characters? If I have a 5th character that I move into the Warband, then I move his shit into the Warbank and then move him out of the Warband, is his stuff still in the Warbank afterwards? Perhaps this is all answered in the Q&A, but imo this just introduces complexity where there doesn't need to be and I think will make the newer player problem even worse since now players will be talking about warbands all the time, and it just feels like something meant to appease entrenched players with a bunch of alts who are already playing rather than trying to attract new players.
The 4 players in the warband are just for the login screen. All your characters have access to the bank, etc. BOP will be character specific because they don’t want you passing max level gear or alts unless it’s warband gear. BOE is still BOE.
Basically wherever you see the word Warband, replace it in your head with Account. Account bank, account reps, account bound items, etc.The 4 characters on the login screen are just the 4 you choose to be there, there's nothing otherwise special about them. All of your characters are in your Warband, aka your Account.
Windwalker rework 😍🥰 shame they didn't update pandas graphically for 10.2.7 which is kinda perfect occasion for that. Still love it, seems like #1 contender for main, but arms and unholy changes make me hyped aswell. Hope they revisit frost aswell and many rangeds after, they nailed the df reworks so it makes me look forward to each new rework. Gonna make my arms of alts ready during 10.2.7, cause the warband thing finally will make me able to play multiple characters without the pain of re- doing everything. The class hero talents only add the flavour to revisiting old specs and trying new ones. Tbf the warband is main selling point for me this xpac, hope it delivers well. Never liked having each character as separate guy on the same account, having all of them somewhat combined is goated, cause redoing everything coming with a patch on each character was making me never touch more than one character per season
Average dps guys complainin here about new affixes why they had to dispell 15 mob or cc 10 mob every 5 week,meanwhile beside the fact i pissin blood every fkin second week on tyra as heal cose ppl still die on rezan "run" after 6 years which complitely mirrors the fact that average wow enjoyer dont have a fkin clue whats goin on bosses,heal and the tank handle 99%of the affixes so hunter players can vibin in comfy to press that 3 button that they usually do, if they dont rework all the affixes to be rewarding than just please fkin remove it at this point we dont need to get the fkin tier sets easier we need to fkin rework the whole m+ system as it is(dungeon vendor ,flightstone?????,affix rework,dungeon finder to m+ so u will not fkin wandering 45 minutes in valdrakken as offmeta and so on)
Delves are just content for fewer people not wanting to commit that much right. Its perfectly fine that it doesnt give rewards above certain levels. Tbh its just like m+.. You dont get anything but bragging rights for doing anything above a 20 key right. More content = more stuff = More players ( hopefully)
I don't see rogue getting a lot of their defensives took away compared to many other classes since everything they have has been in the game for the most part since the start. Vanish Core Defensive, Cloak Core Defensive Evasion meh can take it or leave it at this point but I do wish they would give Deadly Venom to Outlaw as a poison dot...or even make Pistol Shot do a Fire Dot over time never made sense to me that the other 2 specs have real dots but not outlaw since before legion when it was Combat.
I like most affixes; I just think those added more recently are the worst yet. I'd sooner have Inspiring or even Necrotic than Afflicted, for instance. At least those two changes party play somewhat (even if that was easier to pull off before our damage was reduced for taking utility), while Afflicted just feels like a random extra chore that badly imbalances who is permitted. I'd prefer something like unphased/shared versions of the less annoying Corruption/Insanity effects over more of these isolated chore-fixes.
mythic+ affixes need to be kiss-curse positively that dramatically change the meta week to week so it's not just the same meta comp each week and you'd want other classes/specs. example: +10% crit rate , -15% haste , +25% mastery next week: -5% crit rate , +35% haste , -10% mastery you can imagine how much one spec would be better and worse per week based on these.
Random Heroic Raid gaming scrub here that enjoys M+...My 2 cents on Affixes: Affixes in general should be kiss curse game play. So as an example (not fully fleshed out) something like bolstering could be changed to instead of +x% dmg to other mobs it could be +x% of dmg to all in combat entities (including you) that will last for x amount of seconds outside of content...so maybe you want to do a semi large pull before a boss as major cds are coming back up and then pump a boss with lust, but its risk reward. Then for season affixes something that is thematic that completely alters how you play the dungeon to make it fresh and interesting...think back in BFA during the last season when we got the miniboss pillars where we could do large skips and such through the void portals. However the current system is basically all negative...and it sucks even ones that are negligble sure they are tolerable but it doesn't put any interesting game play into it...raging...okay lets get a class with a soothe...oh we don't have one...Good Luck tank.
The game progresses in its own way thats for sure - thats why they need to listen more and more to the community and the people actually playing the game wow in 2024 aint wow in 2014 and aint for sure wow in 2004 - thats the major deal; people (mostly) progressed in skill aswell and simply require more interaction for certain things to be exactly fitting for the player
I think they should add an affix that you receive as first affix after fort or tyran. And it should be a buff that you get to pick ex. Can be a special action button that is an AOE sooth on a 5 minute cooldown or a huge AOE stun on a super long cd or just a glad stat buff. Something that everyone gets to pick what they want to help them with different affix’s so everyone can do all of them. And it adds a level of counter play that I think most players would enjoy!
I started playing wow with TBC and I absolutely loved it. WoD was the turning point for me, just like for many more. In modern wow I don't see any improvements on the game in a sense that will help it make popular again. What i loved about the game was first and foremost the COMMUNITY, the feeling of slow progress, the variety of things you could do (dungeons, raids, exploring, finding rare monsters, etc.). When I logg in to my characters nowadays, i feel completely alone, don't have an idea where to go because the world is way too big and way, way too empty (with people). It is very short lived, which also makes it very unpersonal. IMO Cross Server stuff has to be limited to some point, so that you're not just someone who joins a dungeon, leaves, and are never seen again. I remember knowing certain very good players, guilds etc. by their name, seeing them walk past me in shattrath and me remembering them. I could write so much, but I kind of have given up on wow. Last time i logged in to Dragonflight i was shocked, that there STILL are the same absolutely boring dungeons I would have to grind, with 0 effort, just so that my items number doesnt say 379 but 409. It really feels like "working", and has nothing magic to itself. I could keep going on and on, and I just dont get it... What are your opinions on that?
And delves are wonderful. I love to solo old raids and that delve shown reminds me of wailing cavens, beautiful. The game needs some solo content people can just chill and do, unlike that one in shadowlands. I'll love the next expansion for just that. 🤣

As a seasonal KSH, the affixes that are ONLY manageable by a small subset of classes are the only issue. There are straight up weeks where I can’t PUG my rogue and feel guilty bringing him to my regular group’s runs. I miss seasonal affixes and the whole concept of kiss/curse. The majority of the current affixes are just annoyances.
All channaled damage spells should be castable while moving because it is often very easy to break them by accident. On the other hand, for PVP balance, i do not like them hitting behind pillars. They should be cancelled if the target is out of view.
As for the delves, they are apparently a coppy of ESO's public dungeons. But ESO ones reward you skill points, so they are massively compelling to complete. I do not know what WoW has to offer to make them more attractive.
If they uncap crests and ilvl during heroic week, doesn't that make the gear scaling problem worse? I think they would have to limit gear acquisition somehow so that the world first raiders are a good 10+ ilvl lower than CE guilds when they get to the last boss
Ill be negative here... Warbands is a base acct feature that most other MMO's have been doing for 15+ years at this point... sorta a snoozefest that they are making such a big deal about adding basic account functionality.
Most other MMO's? Like which ones? There is like 3-4 noteworthy ones to talk about, WoW being one of them. The point is that account-wide QoL has been asked for a while, and none of us really know what was going on behind the scenes with the game code leftover all the way from 2004 that stopped them from doing it up until now - and people are glad that finally they have managed to find a way to get it implemented.
i started wow in 2009 and in 2017 i quit, coming back this month and i'm more concerned with achievement points! don't want to log an alt and have to do everything over, want maps fully open and all quests completed just as same as my main char, maybe an option if people enjoy repeating content on lats
Affixes should give you fun or cool buffs in m+ to deal with more difficult mobs, the entire core concept of everything being a negative is always going to draw the community to the easiest ones to deal with. It isn’t fun having the game add artificial health barriers to mobs lol
Heroic week is cool for me simply because I like to raid mostly blind and it takes my guild 2-3 raid days to clear normal, but I also like the race and I don’t like not watching bosses I haven’t killed yet. Giving people a week to chill and clear normal and heroic before the race solves all the bosses is cool
I wish they would overhaul raiding itself. Such as decreasing amount of ads. Making “checkpoints” at bosses so when you die you resurrect at a boss instead of the start of the raid. And having a repair npc at each boss once. Just quality of life stuff because pugging majority of raids the time spent is like 20% fighting the boss 80% clearing trash/resetting the boss/repairing/summoning etc.
I kind of wish talent trees had been fully rehauled to be more about choice alone than an odd muddle of progression with some choice. I would much rather have seen several talents baselined --because they're non-choices, to offer more class identity, and to give a better early level experience-- and many more rehauled to be more interesting, with the level cap and total number of talents shrunk so that each talent can be interesting (or an active avoidance of greater complexity instead of just a barrier or baggage). Even just 4-7 capstone points would be plenty if we stopped wasting talents just on walls.
idk how they made the arms tree worse its actually horrible not to mention if you run slayer they ruined the connecting nodes so now you cant pick ur st talents and bladestorm's talents. dont even bother thinking about picking aoe talents also because youll lose all your st dmg if you do. spec is doa and prot is still in the gutter at least fury is playable.
So... they nerfed windwalker, the dps that sits at the bottom of the dps ladder every xpac (excluding the 5 mins where they buff it before they realise it's not on the bottom any more). Great!
I wish someone would tell them to change how pvp works: I am tired of coming back to this.. leveling, then I have to fight against people who are 3 times more geared than I am, either separate the pvp by your ilvl, or put extremely geared people with extremely geared people and the fresh toons with the fresh ones.
Are you for real!? Go and play guild wars2 if u want that shit. We had it like that during Legion and BFA and it was soooo boring- no progression other than ranked. It takes you legit just a couple of hours getting max gear per sesson and it is fun, hope they never changes how it is now.
Wow don’t feel like wow anymore, it’s a lot more bright and colorful when it use to be about war, clash of weapons and kick ass characters. But a lot of main character are gone some killed off in the most stupid way. There no lore in it anymore all the zones almost look all the same in a way. Was hoping with Metzin back it would change but guess not. This is the first expac I won’t be playing shoulda stopped sooner but Owell. But I hope this game brings many hours of fun to future players like it did for me in the pass🤙

I'm not sure if additional passives need to be added (Like Aspect of the Iron Hawk expansions ago) or if we just need a rework of them entirely. As someone who played a Necrolord MM hunter at the tail end of Shadowlands, having one more defensive in Fleshcraft was HUGE to QoL. You could whittle the cooldown of it and you could use it for the 20% damage reduction while channeling and also got the shield it provided. It allowed me to do harder content and push keys without feeling like a complete glass cannon. Thanks for the insight as always, Max!
Yeah, I picked my MM back up after playing Warlock for all of Amidrassil and holy crap I feel like I need another 2 defensives comparatively.
@@DoctorTako Yeah I've played MM exclusively since MoP (and surv before that) and we're really hurting defensively. We have OK cooldowns, but they have longer CDs and are mostly reactive, not proactive. It was amazing what one single CD in fleshcraft did to the overall defensive feel of the spec in SL.
The hero trees haven't addressed that yet, so I'm hoping the class/spec trees will. I know I should just play BM, but my channel is built on the spec that I love the most, which is MM. I get my AotC/KSH+ every season, but it's hard when new players don't even bother with the spec because BM can do everything better than MM/Surv can currently.

@@bobdolle I mained it in s3 and it is just ridiculous at this point how paper they are. I racechanged to dwarf just to be able to not die on every undodgable dot on higher keys. How broken dwarf racial is, is a different subject, they gotta nerf it hard with overall pruning of defensives, cause this make you so much ahead on m+ it is ridiculous. Not even mentioning the 2% crit dmg which is sick on it's own
The warrior class tree is insanely good now. You got so much flexibility. Its simply awesome
was feeling super happy seeing those changes yesterday! A great start. Spec trees still need some work......hoping they will be open to taking on feedback there.
My biggest problem with M+ was always that there wasnt a simple queue with an elo system, i hated spending hours applying to groups and getting declined for no reason. They could still keep the team builder like it is now but they should add a queue for m+ where you get paired with other people around your skill level (just like queueing for normal dungeons but with elo)

the thing is that solo q is not gonna solve the problem entirely, the underlying issue is that there are way more dps than healers or tanks, in the perfect world the ratio between dps and healers/tanks should be 3/2, instead it’s conservatively more like 5/2 or 6/2 and in lower keys it’s even worse, maybe as high as 10+/2, for example look at solo shuffles were dps have 40+ min queues for a 10 minute match.

I play prot warr and basically prot exclusively. I wish they would do something to allow prot to have more utility. For m+, they come out with affixes that prot cant do really anything to help. Cant offheal, cant dispel, can't do a full stun for incorp. Just feels super bad that some tanks have everything.

Can you ask about the race/class combos ?
They need to change the affixes since they are already squishing keystone levels. Each key level will be like a 30-40% increase in difficulty instead of the usual 7%, then it will suck to have affixes with flat% like Fortitude Tyrannical and Bolster...
I think you will need to level delves only once, then it will be open to chose any level on any member of your Warband.
HUGE win with the Heroic raid only week coming back. Mythic + Heroic at the same time was so terrible, for many reasons.

Do you think they would be willing to allow you to combine gear to get it to a higher tier. I played prot pally this season maxed out my vault every week I got 4 489 pieces and that felt bad because I’m 485 and some people are just lucky and get 488 because every single piece is 489 from vault minus crafted. Specially scale at 483 took me weeks to get it to drop and then the chances of me getting it in the vault is like 1 in 80 or something. I’d like to see some kind of farm ability like in I got 2 483 scales I could turn them into a 483 2/4 myth track scales. But just having bad luck and taking coins one week I had to trade them all for gold because I had the maximum gem adding pieces allowed and the max coins allowed because I got absolutely nothing from vault. Or you can buy an item with vault coins to upgrade an item to myth that way there is a cap to it.
I STILL think the best way to do the mythic race is to put a cap on ilvl in mythic that raises with every boss SOMEBODY'S killed.

I would love to see a video on how difficult Delves can be assuming that you do them solo and with no gear from Raid, PvP or M+. They are calling Delves a new type of endgame content so they should provide enough challenge for solo players that don't do group based endgame content.
They will have 11 levels but honestly anything that scales from 1 to 5 players(afaik) is probably going to be cheesed one way or another anyway
affixes should give a buff if done correctly. or be something that isn't 'doable' but rather is like a overall pro/con modification for the whole instance

God I miss 10 man raids... with such aggresive guild recruitments you have difficulty having 20 ppl to stay for another tier after clearing the mythic. It becomes so annoying for me and friends cause there's like 14 of us who always play together but the latter 6+ always rotate every raid tier.. Just give us 10 man raids ffs.

My only concern with warbands is possible player confusion or unnecessary complexity. Like is there going to be BoE, BoP, Account-Bound, and Warband-Bound(Warbound?). Are things that are BoP able to be transferred between Warband characters? If I have a 5th character that I move into the Warband, then I move his shit into the Warbank and then move him out of the Warband, is his stuff still in the Warbank afterwards?
Perhaps this is all answered in the Q&A, but imo this just introduces complexity where there doesn't need to be and I think will make the newer player problem even worse since now players will be talking about warbands all the time, and it just feels like something meant to appease entrenched players with a bunch of alts who are already playing rather than trying to attract new players.
The 4 players in the warband are just for the login screen. All your characters have access to the bank, etc. BOP will be character specific because they don’t want you passing max level gear or alts unless it’s warband gear. BOE is still BOE.
Basically wherever you see the word Warband, replace it in your head with Account. Account bank, account reps, account bound items, etc.The 4 characters on the login screen are just the 4 you choose to be there, there's nothing otherwise special about them. All of your characters are in your Warband, aka your Account.

Windwalker rework 😍🥰 shame they didn't update pandas graphically for 10.2.7 which is kinda perfect occasion for that. Still love it, seems like #1 contender for main, but arms and unholy changes make me hyped aswell. Hope they revisit frost aswell and many rangeds after, they nailed the df reworks so it makes me look forward to each new rework. Gonna make my arms of alts ready during 10.2.7, cause the warband thing finally will make me able to play multiple characters without the pain of re- doing everything. The class hero talents only add the flavour to revisiting old specs and trying new ones. Tbf the warband is main selling point for me this xpac, hope it delivers well. Never liked having each character as separate guy on the same account, having all of them somewhat combined is goated, cause redoing everything coming with a patch on each character was making me never touch more than one character per season
Average dps guys complainin here about new affixes why they had to dispell 15 mob or cc 10 mob every 5 week,meanwhile beside the fact i pissin blood every fkin second week on tyra as heal cose ppl still die on rezan "run" after 6 years which complitely mirrors the fact that average wow enjoyer dont have a fkin clue whats goin on bosses,heal and the tank handle 99%of the affixes so hunter players can vibin in comfy to press that 3 button that they usually do, if they dont rework all the affixes to be rewarding than just please fkin remove it at this point we dont need to get the fkin tier sets easier we need to fkin rework the whole m+ system as it is(dungeon vendor ,flightstone?????,affix rework,dungeon finder to m+ so u will not fkin wandering 45 minutes in valdrakken as offmeta and so on)

I don't see rogue getting a lot of their defensives took away compared to many other classes since everything they have has been in the game for the most part since the start.
Vanish Core Defensive, Cloak Core Defensive Evasion meh can take it or leave it at this point but I do wish they would give Deadly Venom to Outlaw as a poison dot...or even make Pistol Shot do a Fire Dot over time never made sense to me that the other 2 specs have real dots but not outlaw since before legion when it was Combat.
I like most affixes; I just think those added more recently are the worst yet. I'd sooner have Inspiring or even Necrotic than Afflicted, for instance. At least those two changes party play somewhat (even if that was easier to pull off before our damage was reduced for taking utility), while Afflicted just feels like a random extra chore that badly imbalances who is permitted. I'd prefer something like unphased/shared versions of the less annoying Corruption/Insanity effects over more of these isolated chore-fixes.
mythic+ affixes need to be kiss-curse positively that dramatically change the meta week to week so it's not just the same meta comp each week and you'd want other classes/specs.
example: +10% crit rate , -15% haste , +25% mastery
next week: -5% crit rate , +35% haste , -10% mastery
you can imagine how much one spec would be better and worse per week based on these.
that sounds complete dogshit, id rather have bolster sanguine necrotic at the same time than that xD so much fun having -15% haste

Random Heroic Raid gaming scrub here that enjoys M+...My 2 cents on Affixes: Affixes in general should be kiss curse game play. So as an example (not fully fleshed out) something like bolstering could be changed to instead of +x% dmg to other mobs it could be +x% of dmg to all in combat entities (including you) that will last for x amount of seconds outside of content...so maybe you want to do a semi large pull before a boss as major cds are coming back up and then pump a boss with lust, but its risk reward. Then for season affixes something that is thematic that completely alters how you play the dungeon to make it fresh and interesting...think back in BFA during the last season when we got the miniboss pillars where we could do large skips and such through the void portals.
However the current system is basically all negative...and it sucks even ones that are negligble sure they are tolerable but it doesn't put any interesting game play into it...raging...okay lets get a class with a soothe...oh we don't have one...Good Luck tank.

wow in 2024 aint wow in 2014 and aint for sure wow in 2004 - thats the major deal; people (mostly) progressed in skill aswell and simply require more interaction for certain things to be exactly fitting for the player
I was so happy when they said they gonna change the warrior talent tree, now I look at it and confused at what they even tried to change
I think they should add an affix that you receive as first affix after fort or tyran. And it should be a buff that you get to pick ex. Can be a special action button that is an AOE sooth on a 5 minute cooldown or a huge AOE stun on a super long cd or just a glad stat buff. Something that everyone gets to pick what they want to help them with different affix’s so everyone can do all of them. And it adds a level of counter play that I think most players would enjoy!
I started playing wow with TBC and I absolutely loved it. WoD was the turning point for me, just like for many more.
In modern wow I don't see any improvements on the game in a sense that will help it make popular again.
What i loved about the game was first and foremost the COMMUNITY, the feeling of slow progress, the variety of things you could do (dungeons, raids, exploring, finding rare monsters, etc.).
When I logg in to my characters nowadays, i feel completely alone, don't have an idea where to go because the world is way too big and way, way too empty (with people). It is very short lived, which also makes it very unpersonal.
IMO Cross Server stuff has to be limited to some point, so that you're not just someone who joins a dungeon, leaves, and are never seen again.
I remember knowing certain very good players, guilds etc. by their name, seeing them walk past me in shattrath and me remembering them.
I could write so much, but I kind of have given up on wow. Last time i logged in to Dragonflight i was shocked, that there STILL are the same absolutely boring dungeons I would have to grind, with 0 effort, just so that my items number doesnt say 379 but 409. It really feels like "working", and has nothing magic to itself.
I could keep going on and on, and I just dont get it... What are your opinions on that?

So far, you don't HAVE to do Delves. Torghast problem is that you HAD to do it, and this killed the experience of doing the content.

As a seasonal KSH, the affixes that are ONLY manageable by a small subset of classes are the only issue. There are straight up weeks where I can’t PUG my rogue and feel guilty bringing him to my regular group’s runs.
I miss seasonal affixes and the whole concept of kiss/curse. The majority of the current affixes are just annoyances.

All channaled damage spells should be castable while moving because it is often very easy to break them by accident. On the other hand, for PVP balance, i do not like them hitting behind pillars. They should be cancelled if the target is out of view.
As for the delves, they are apparently a coppy of ESO's public dungeons. But ESO ones reward you skill points, so they are massively compelling to complete. I do not know what WoW has to offer to make them more attractive.

If they uncap crests and ilvl during heroic week, doesn't that make the gear scaling problem worse? I think they would have to limit gear acquisition somehow so that the world first raiders are a good 10+ ilvl lower than CE guilds when they get to the last boss
Ill be negative here... Warbands is a base acct feature that most other MMO's have been doing for 15+ years at this point... sorta a snoozefest that they are making such a big deal about adding basic account functionality.
Most other MMO's? Like which ones? There is like 3-4 noteworthy ones to talk about, WoW being one of them.
The point is that account-wide QoL has been asked for a while, and none of us really know what was going on behind the scenes with the game code leftover all the way from 2004 that stopped them from doing it up until now - and people are glad that finally they have managed to find a way to get it implemented.
If they brought back reaping as a permanent affix, i could care less about anything else tbh. Big pulls and aoe it down
i started wow in 2009 and in 2017 i quit, coming back this month and i'm more concerned with achievement points! don't want to log an alt and have to do everything over, want maps fully open and all quests completed just as same as my main char, maybe an option if people enjoy repeating content on lats
Affixes should give you fun or cool buffs in m+ to deal with more difficult mobs, the entire core concept of everything being a negative is always going to draw the community to the easiest ones to deal with. It isn’t fun having the game add artificial health barriers to mobs lol

Heroic week is cool for me simply because I like to raid mostly blind and it takes my guild 2-3 raid days to clear normal, but I also like the race and I don’t like not watching bosses I haven’t killed yet. Giving people a week to chill and clear normal and heroic before the race solves all the bosses is cool

I wish they would overhaul raiding itself. Such as decreasing amount of ads. Making “checkpoints” at bosses so when you die you resurrect at a boss instead of the start of the raid. And having a repair npc at each boss once. Just quality of life stuff because pugging majority of raids the time spent is like 20% fighting the boss 80% clearing trash/resetting the boss/repairing/summoning etc.
I hope they bring back seasonal affixes
I kind of wish talent trees had been fully rehauled to be more about choice alone than an odd muddle of progression with some choice. I would much rather have seen several talents baselined --because they're non-choices, to offer more class identity, and to give a better early level experience-- and many more rehauled to be more interesting, with the level cap and total number of talents shrunk so that each talent can be interesting (or an active avoidance of greater complexity instead of just a barrier or baggage). Even just 4-7 capstone points would be plenty if we stopped wasting talents just on walls.

idk how they made the arms tree worse its actually horrible not to mention if you run slayer they ruined the connecting nodes so now you cant pick ur st talents and bladestorm's talents. dont even bother thinking about picking aoe talents also because youll lose all your st dmg if you do. spec is doa and prot is still in the gutter at least fury is playable.
So... they nerfed windwalker, the dps that sits at the bottom of the dps ladder every xpac (excluding the 5 mins where they buff it before they realise it's not on the bottom any more). Great!

I wish someone would tell them to change how pvp works: I am tired of coming back to this.. leveling, then I have to fight against people who are 3 times more geared than I am, either separate the pvp by your ilvl, or put extremely geared people with extremely geared people and the fresh toons with the fresh ones.
Are you for real!? Go and play guild wars2 if u want that shit. We had it like that during Legion and BFA and it was soooo boring- no progression other than ranked. It takes you legit just a couple of hours getting max gear per sesson and it is fun, hope they never changes how it is now.

Wow don’t feel like wow anymore, it’s a lot more bright and colorful when it use to be about war, clash of weapons and kick ass characters. But a lot of main character are gone some killed off in the most stupid way. There no lore in it anymore all the zones almost look all the same in a way. Was hoping with Metzin back it would change but guess not. This is the first expac I won’t be playing shoulda stopped sooner but Owell. But I hope this game brings many hours of fun to future players like it did for me in the pass🤙
