    Thank you for mentioning getting a library card! As a public librarian it saddens me to see so many influencers purchasing tons of books and not utilizing their local library. I hope you will vlog getting your card and encourage your followers to do the same!

    Hi Michelle, love your videos! Some challenge ideas:
    1. no spend week (not sure if you ended up doing this for april!)
    2. week of waking up at 6 am
    3. what i spend in a week married in dallas
    4. week of a capsule wardrobe (restyling a few pieces of clothing over)
    5. week of being vegan (totally understand with the iron if you aren't comfortable with this!)
    6. week of no social media (only what you need to post for work)
    7. week of exploring dallas or texas every day (new restaurants, walking downtown, etc)
    8. week of no tv
    9. week of trying new hobbies (new one each day)
    10. week of no added sugar
    I know you've done some of these challenges before, but they could be interesting in this different phase of life!

    I highly recommend the app Libby for gaining access to your library's electronic books. You link your library card with the app and you gain access to all the electronic books available at your local library. You can read them on your phone and/ or iPad or download them to your Kindle!

    Hi Michelle! About the ferritin, it’s a protein-iron-complex and that’s how most of the iron in our body is stored in the liver, bone marrow and spleen. Some of it remains in the blood and that amount correlates to the amount that is stored in those organs, that’s why it is used to check for iron deficiency. Iron levels can change a lot over the course of a day so they don’t allow to make assumptions about how much iron your body has actually stored. I hope I could help you understand it a bit better :)

    Interesting with the Iron, Do you just not absorb it well? I have never noticed issues with being vegan and my iron levels as its in every meal we make, Lentils, rice, quinoa, chickpeas etc but I have heard bodies absorb lower if you dont combine it with like vitamin C? like if there is an iron food in your salad lets say you have to have like a dressing like lemon vinagrette or tomatoes. Glad your hair has stopped falling out more that really sucks, stress really REALLY plays a huge huge role in anything. when I am stressed out I for SURE get really sick and aches and its not fun.

    Hi! Med student here :) Ferritin is basically one of your body’s storage forms of iron!! Low levels can definitely contribute to things like fatigue. ☺️ thanks for sharing with us!! Hope all is well!

    If you aren't attached to reading a physical book, I highly recommend getting a Kindle and an electronic library card. You can link your library card to an app called libby and check out ebooks and audiobooks to your Kindle and your phone.

    Eat vegan for a week as a challenge! I noticed a huge increase in energy and my body felt great plus I learned a lot during that time and it was very eye opening!

    Weird thing but I also have had problems with hair falling out (not extreme just a lot coming out after showers from all over my head) and I chopped my hair to my shoulders and now I rarely see hair coming out, especially in the shower. I have thicker hair so I think that it was probably weighing itself down and falling out because of that. I know it’s not exactly what you experienced, but I thought it was interesting lol

    Hey Michelle, dairy products can really impact the absorption of iron. It usually helps to cut them out. :) Hope you feel better!

    I got a library card last year and I love it! Such a great thing I forgot about. If you like mystery/thrillers you should check out the author Shari Lapena. I couldn’t put her books down!

    I have a grocery store recommendation!!
    Sprouts!! They definitely are in DFW area (Southlake and Grapevine and others) but they have AWESOME produce and meat. They have something called “double ad Wednesday” where you can go shop on Wednesday and get the deals from last week, and the following week so best value and save a lot! It’s an organic/healthy store and a tad bit pricier for random things but for “basics” when grocery shoppings it’s the best :)

    Encouraging videos! Challenge would be to incorporate less “cute” to describe females that can really bring down women abilities and empowerment. Would be cool to modify your dialogue into “strong”, “empowered”, “boss” to really own what you and others are doing and spread female positivity.

    I don't know how adventurous you're feeling but here are some ideas of "a week of -" : hairstyles, a type of workout/challenge, the same shirt styled in different ways, breakfasts, yoga.     Love this and the part you touch upon the need you felt previously to always be busy and doing something. I’m extremely happy you were able to find a healthy balance of motivated and not stressed and thank you for also acknowledging that everyone’s lives are different. I was born and raised in NYC and literally exactly what you said is the way life’s always been to me. Like always on the go, semi stressed and feeling this constant urge that even when I’m relaxing I’m wasting precious time I could be doing something more productive like work. I’m studying for my MCAT for entrance to medical school while balancing a job and watching your videos once a week is nice to see your world. It’s amazing how we can see everything through your lens through videos, as well as relate to you. Your videos also tend to calm me down and help me unwind day by day so thanks for that!

    Hi Michelle!! I so appreciate the honest updates about your health and am wishing you well ❤️ I’m in the medical field and just wanted to say that ferritin is the molecule that transports iron, which maybe explains why iron infusions were that helpful because if you have low ferritin to transport the iron, additional iron doesn’t really help!

    a fun challenge could be doing what Ellie Thuman did in a recent video where she just tried something new everyday whether that was new hairstyle, activity, meal, morning routine, etc. Maybe that would be fun because then you could something different each day rather than get in a. new routine with a new thing you add for the week.     Everyone reading this download Libby!! It's an app that you can put your library card in and borrow almost any book and read it on your iPad, phone, computer, kindle, whatever and it's free. I'm someone that reads like 2-3 books a week and it's not super practical to ALWAYS buy them so just a tip!

    I’m getting ready to graduate college and I’m absolutely going through a ridiculous amount of stress and lately hair loss. Unfortunately I just don’t see many options to relieve that stress until I graduate :/ I really appreciate your being open about this Michelle!

    Yay for another video! Been getting back into my faith more recently after post-grad and I love watching your content as I think it really helps me connect my day to day life more with God.
