I filmed this video before so many were left utterly devastated by Hurricane Helene… It seems so trivial sharing a vlog of ‘harder days’ of my life when others have lost absolutely everything. I’m researching a reputable cause to donate the proceeds of this video to- I’m all ears if you know of other ways to help. My heart is with everyone affected ❤🩹
hi Michele! i highly recommend looking into Helene Mutual Aid funds. with donating to those, money go directly to the people affected instead of through charities and, then, to the victims. :-)
i know it seems trivial but its still valid to have hard days too. Ive lost everything to a fire in CA a few years ago and I remember feeling that I wish people didnt see me as a victim. Of course its always good to have perspective. thats just my own personal thoughts.

You always post the most relevant videos to my life. I am having a hard day with my little one because of lack of sleep. Feeling down, unproductive & cooped up. This video helped me feel a little better. Mom life is hard & everyday is different, but part of being a Mom is pushing thru the hard days & remembering that the most important thing is that your child is fed, loved & safe. Can’t win em all. But we can try our best & try to stay positive.
This video came at the perfect time for me! We just found out my husband has to leave to help clean up after Hurricane Helene in NC and I’ve been STRESSED. I’ll be referring back to this video on the hard days while I hold down the fort. Thank you for posting the hard days, you are truly inspiring and motivational 🤍
I hear you Michelle. I am not a mom but support my *almost* husband in law school and life can sometimes feel monotonous. I heard a sermon this Sunday which talked about how God works in the mundane and the people and practices that often seem ordinary to others. He came humbly and He is shown in our humility towards others as well! Hope your spirits are lifted this week and you are filled with His Spirit ❤
I love how genuine and real you are. As a young mother myself, I can really relate to a lot of things you said in this video! I need to remember to get out more, 'cause I definitely feel cooped up a lot having little kids at home with me all the time.
Michelle thank you so much for sharing those uplifting words! You have no idea how much I needed to hear those calming words from Christ. Lately I have felt consumed by my anxiety/depression and I have felt like I am drowning. Those words brought so much peace to my heart and allowed me to breathe even if just for a minute. So much of my life right now is outside of my control, multiple miscarriages and my 2 year old who is struggling to be healthy enough for a much needed endoscopy and i am just so overwhelmed. So thank you for sharing even on the hard days! ❤
I just ordered “Every Moment Holy” because I am a new mom (my sweet boy is almost 6 months old), and some days truly can feel monotonous, but you have been such an inspiration to me to find beauty and purpose in the mundane! Keep up the good work, sister!
Hi! I love watching your videos and love how real you are! I am a dental hygienist who also specializes in sleep apnea. Clenching and grinding can be a sign of sleep apnea (due to all the soft tissues/anatomy in the back of our throat collapsing when we sleep) and our bodies natural response is to grind and clench to try and open the airway! I recommend doing an airway test with your dentist! It can also totally be from stress, but sleep apnea is real and serious, and it never hurts to check your airway! Also, the mouth guards are specifically designed to open your airway, which is more beneficial than a typical night guard! Most people don't even know they have sleep apnea as well! I hope that is helpful and you get answers from your dentist 💛
Wow, going through a really tough time with my 10 month old and I needed to hear your words so desperately. Thank you, fellow mama. We are all doing our best ❤
I love how real you are in your videos. Losing sleep is no joke, and it's difficult to make the best of the next day, that is for sure. Cash was such a sweet and constant presence in this video in particular, just happily going from room to room with you, settling himself in. Good boy!
For rough times in motherhood i found alot of comfort in the book Hard is Not the Same as Bad by Abbie Halberstadt. Its biblically based and focuses on a perspective change to help guide moms through tough days or seasons. Here's hoping your little one gets those teeth through soon! We loved the Baby Teething Tube and Itzy Ritzy Lemon teethers a lot.
Someone having a harder time than you doesn’t mean that your times aren’t hard. A broken ankle isn’t as devastating as loss of a loved one, but it still sucks and is hard to handle. Don’t compare either your joys or your struggles to someone else’s. There will always be someone worse off than than you, but if you’re hanging from a cliff holding on with both hands, and they’re hanging on with one, you’re still both hanging off a cliff. Social media has taught us that because we’re in a certain class or demographic, or nationality, that our struggles don’t matter if someone else is having what we think is a harder time. There is nothing wrong with having hard times and sharing that you are. How you feel is as valid as how other people feel, even if the circumstances may be different.
I am in dental school (soon-to-be dentist!) and grinding your teeth is very normal. Unfortunately, it happens a lot during sleep and can definitely be associated with stress, but it is hard to control because you are doing it when you sleep. Clenching during the day and/or night may also be contributing to the teeth wear that you are having, which is definitely more controllable. I think a great solution for you would be to get Invisalign for now to kill two birds with one stone like you said, and then once that is done you can get some clear retainers to wear at night to help protect your teeth when you cannot control the grinding and clenching. Hope this helps!
Ugh I felt your pain when the self checkout said you needed assistance 😅 Always love your vlogs. You’re an amazing human, wife, mom and friend.❤ I also love Forrest frank especially on hard days. I go for a stroller walk outside and play it! Sometimes I just wanna dance. Don’t underestimate what a dance party will do for your soul😂
Agree with the comments that everyone has their own 'hard'. Give yourself permission to feel the way you feel, your feelings are valid. One thing that helped me change perspective whenever ive had a lousy night or when stuff at work isnt going to plan: "if these are my bad days, i am very lucky". Not to say that those days are great, but it helps me to let it be what it is.
Oh the teething days are rough. What I did, (before 6 months), was to give him infant Tylenol, hold to sleep and back to crib. As soon as my baby was age ready for Motrin, I would give it to him at bedtime. And during the day, (at all ages) the teething drops Camilia (homeopathic). I do remember two weeks in a row without sleeping through the night and was just rough, but as a FTM I didn’t know what I know now when my baby didn’t like teethers or cold stuff. Now Franklin is a toddler, but we will do it all over again for Louie who is almost 3 months old. You’re doing great, keep going one day at a time 🫶🏻💕
This video is so needed and encouraging, friend. I also struggled with and currently struggle with teeth grinding postpartum. My doctor and dentist both mentioned that it is a very common thing for women postpartum due to stress, even if you don't feel stressed our bodies just carry a lot. I've found that exercise and lots of walks with the babe really help to calm me down even when I don't feel that I am stressed. I also started taking some magnesium before bed (I use the "Garden of Life" powder), and that has helped relieve some of that subconscious stress before bed as well. I hope that you can find what works best for you to help ease some of that stress. I have also found a lot of comfort in reading through "The Valley of Vision" with my babe to help center my spirit with the Lord. I'm right here in the trenches of all these things with you!

I also started grinding my teeth after having children! Having postpartum anxiety and just the stress of being awake at night, or on my phone too much and not in Gods word enough always makes it worse! I have a night guard but am hoping to get Invisalign this next early spring too! The issue I have is even though I’ve tried to fix it, when your asleep you don’t really know if your grinding or not, so it’s best to get something to fix the issue now so it’s not something where you have to get work done on the teeth down the line! 🙂💖
These days for me are kinda hard as well but not in the way that the weather is bad but that there's so much assessments that I feel like just giving up. I can't give up because I want to make my parents proud if I don't it means I'm that big of a disappointment and can't get a good job if I fail. Hope you have an amazing day ! , don't overwork yourself , please have a good amount of sleep to you, your friends, and family too Michelle !! :)).
I bit the bullet and bought night guards from my dentist to protect my teeth from grinding at night. I can’t prevent it because I am usually asleep when it’s happening and it was going on for far too long when I finally did something about it.
Hey Michelle ! I used to grind my teeth a lot and was told the same thing, that my teeth were worn down a little bit and that stress was the main cause. I then saw a kinesiologist to have massages twice a week for a strong jaw and after a few months of tense jaw muscle massages, I don't grind my teeth at all anymore. I still massage my jaw from time to time but no more annoying my partner at night ! Hope this helps ! 😊
Ahh Michelle! I love this so much and I am so obsessed with your content. Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many other people. You are so fun to watch and I love your videos. I can’t wait for more fall vlogs and baking videos. You are such an amazing mom to Connor and it’s so sweet seeing you be his mom. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
As a massage therapist the number 1 problem my clients have is teeth grinding/clenching their teeth from stress, etc. Massage therapy on the jaw, neck and face can really help! it won’t stop you from doing it, but it really alleviates the tightness and pain associated with TMJ issues
Read the book Breath by James Nestor. I'm currently doing Invisalign for tmj and grinding. I wish I had read this earlier. You can change your teeth by not mouth breathing at night and by tongue placement with myo functional therapy. Less expensive and root cause is worked on. ❤
I would definitely recommend trying to fix/work on the teeth grinding issue before getting another retainer or night guard! I had tongue thrust for as long as I could remember. After 4 years of braces my teeth and jaw shifted and messed up my bite because of tongue thrust. I wanted to get Invisalign but knew I should fix the issue before just fixing my teeth. I’m so glad I did because I’ve been out of Invisalign for 4 years now and my teeth haven’t changed.
I love the Every Moment Holy liturgies. It is so encouraging to see you utilizing such a great resource during this season of your life. It encourages me to seek Christ over my inital reactions. I hope you can keep your gaze on Christ through this season!
1:10 I grind my teeth! I’ve done it while sleeping since I was a kid and my Dad does it too, so I think there can be genetic predisposition. But it is worse with stress! I wear a night guard but also have tried Botox in my masseter muscle (via a dermatologist, but some dentists offer it) which I do feel helped for me personally.
I grind my teeth too, need to invest in a night guard 😅 Being a first time mom these days just happen but loved seeing what you do to make the most of your hard day. I’ve been deep in the trenches with a 3 month old. Hoping the weather cools down where I live soon so I can get outside more ❤❤
I grind my teeth. I think it’s stress related but I definitely recommend some sort of retainer. I didn’t wear one for a while and started to get really bad TMJ/jaw issues. The retainer has helped minimize these symptoms.
I used to be a major teeth grinder and I was trying so hard to figure out why. Coincidentally I gave up coffee for lent and guess what? The grinding completely stopped! I have zero caffeine each day and I never grind my teeth anymore. ❤
I'm a parent of a college student. I hope you know how much you inspire other parents like me. Thank you so much for sharing your faith in your channel ❤
I grind my teeth too and tense my jaw even during the day, I'll notice tension in my jaw and teeth clamped adn it definitely has to do with stress. Not being present, worrying, grasping, stressing all seem to contribute to mine. I spent money on a night guard but I don't use it- bothers me, can't breath and hence sleep as well. Like you I want to go to cause of problem and it is stress and tension.. I found some helpful jaw releasing exercises and somatic body release work is helping And just catching it during the day and delibertately relaxing the tension. Hope you get some relief and keep us posted. I could message you some videos if that would help? xo
teeth grinder over here! i actually get botox in my masseters now every few months. it atrophies (?) the muscles and prevents grinding. my local medspa provides this service, and i was even able to use my FSA card to pay for it. their nurse practitioner was able to diagnose me with bruxism, and botox is an approved treatment! i definitely think stress contributes to it, but i havent figured that part out yet lol
I agree with getting to the root cause of grinding, however you also really need to protect your teeth. Nothing wrong with that. I actually cracked a molar grinding and had to get a crown and root canal as a result. In terms of holistic treatment, yoga and stretching is very important, decreasing screen time, following a healthy diet, etc. I do all this and it is still not cured, but with my night guard all is good now.
You could be out of alignment. A chiro adjustment can help. It could also be sleep disordered breathing. It’s actually really common to develop it during pregnancy.
Those teething nights are rough! My 10 month old son now has 8 teeth and they have been coming in two's so keep an eye out for the second one to pop up! I sometimes have to give him medicine to help the really bad nights (Usually right before the tooth breals through the gums, once that happens, it gets better) Genexa infant is a great brand for no artificial additives, dyes, or sugars. I hope Connor is doing better
I've been grinding my teeth since I was a tot :( I use the Oral B night guard- you can find at most all grocers! Forms to your mouth just as a dentist's would. Then I replace it every year! I started developing fractures in my teeth from grinding, so definitely a good thing to catch in the beginning phases.
I grind my teeth when I’m awake and hearing music. It’s the strangest thing. My husband does it while he sleeps. We definitely think it’s stress related too. Also, glad to know I’m not the only one that pulls a push broom😂
It’s definitely stress. I catch myself even clenching through out the day. Night guards can be great but Invisalign’s are a scam. It’s great for fixing the cosmetics but it doesn’t fix the root cause. There’s exercises you can do to fix it over time.
I’ve been grinding my teeth for years. I wear a night guard and every single night but I still have some gum recession due to it. Ive never had a cavity but just gum recession.
I just picked up my night guard for my teeth last week. I haven't done a very good job wearing it. It takes getting used to, but I know it will help if I stick with it.
I grind my teeth and wear a professionally made/fitted night guard which I’ve told is the best way to go because the ones from the drugstore might make your bite uneven!
Thank you for being real!😭🤍 i’m in a hard season as a stay at home mom with my 8 month old. he’s crawling and getting into everything and doesn’t like being in the carrier anymore so i am constantly drowning in housework especially since every nap is still a contact nap and we bedshare because he’s always been a rough sleeper but i am praising God through the trials because it births a new level of patience and perseverance in us! (James 1:2-4) it’s so easy to get caught up in the mundane especially since i can’t catch up on housework so every day im cleaning all day long and it still feels like a mess. you inspire me to get out of the house more even if the house remains a mess, just for the sake of my mental health and my baby’s! thank you for sharing hard times with us! it really keeps things real since social media can feel disheartening with comparison. God always uses your videos for me especially since you uploaded this on a harder-than-normal kind of day 🤍
I grind my teeth too 🙃 not fun… but i have invisiline and it helps a lot!! My daughter also grinds her teeth so I’ve been trying to find things to help her
I grind my teeth and my dentist said it’s super common for new moms. I think it’s very tied with stress and a bit sad to me that it’s just kinda expected moms will be so overwhelmed that it will manifest in physical health and the solution is the treat the symptom and not the underlying reasons it’s so common
Super simple songs has a less annoying baby shark song. They have pretty good versions of nursery rhymes too. If anyone needs less annoying kid songs 😂❤
I used to grind my teeth a lot! I’ve found that I often fall clenching my jaw and if I can consciously relax my face, I don’t grind as much overnight. Also like in labor when you have to think about relaxing your jaw and shoulders, it’s a similar feeling to relax?
I grind my teeth like crazy! I have a grind pattern that’s developed over the years. I had a thick hard night guard from the dentist (I lost it) and after about a year and a half it was almost ground through. I noticed it’s mostly caused by stress. I’ve been looking into getting Masseter Botox which I’ve had friends rave about. Maybe something to look into to see if it’s right for you?
Michelle I am a first time mom and my little girl is now 3 months old. I do struggle with having her being held by MIL or my grandmother and I don't want to "share" her. Is this normal and does it get easier? Did you struggle with this, too?
I do think a lot of that is biological, so normal to want to be close with your baby… especially while they’re so little ❤️ this did get a lot better for me in time but I do still struggle! I imagine it gets easier the more and more kids you have, but totally normal to feel that instinct
Michelle - I am not going to speak for all dentists, but my dentist was trying to sell me a night guard just to make money. I know this because I had been wearing invisalign and retainers for years, every single night, but my new dentist wasn't aware of this. She said, "You grind your teeth. You need a night guard." Clearly I had not been grinding my teeth, because at night I always have my retainers in, which is the same as a night guard. When I told her this, she didn't know what to say. Red flag. It's very possible your dentist is just trying to make money off of you like mine was. (I've had many friends and family tell me the same thing - suddenly everyone "needs" a night guard.)

I love your videos so much. You’re such an inspiration to me❤
I would definitely recommend trying to fix/work on the teeth grinding issue before getting another retainer or night guard!
You’re doing so well! Such an inspiring video 🩵
I grind my teeth too, need to invest in a night guard 😅
Being a first time mom these days just happen but loved seeing what you do to make the most of your hard day. I’ve been deep in the trenches with a 3 month old. Hoping the weather cools down where I live soon so I can get outside more ❤❤
wow 3 videos in a week??? omg we are getting spoiled!!!
love the weeks I can get more out ☺️
I grind my teeth and find the night guard is really helpful I went through braces and Retainers too! Good luck!
I have Invisalign now, I'm on tray 4 out of 25 total and it is great! There is very minimal pain too!
Thank you for sharing the few lines from the book,, it felt like a heavy weight was off my heart❤
Mosquitoes don’t like baby oil, try it 😊
Loving all these vlogs ❤
You are amazing Michelle!
Thank you for reading that prayer❤️🥰 these are the actions that separate you from other TH-camrs🙏🏼
Always feels nice watching you ❤
💛💛💛 grateful for you!
Omg, I’m a new mom too and now grind my teeth too! It’s not fun..
I hope Connor is doing better
wow thank you!! so funny because I just notice the other front tooth starting to pop up too 🙈
Love the every moment holy liturgies! You make me want to get it!
We all have hard days in our own ways
you got this mama! ❤
Thank you for sharing the real side :) I love your videos and cannot wait to watch!
sending love, thank you for watching! 💛
I've been grinding my teeth since I was a tot :(
I use the Oral B night guard- you can find at most all grocers!
Michelle we all love you so so so much and I really really love all your recent vlogs so so so much🥹🥹💖💖
thank you for the love! ❤️
It’s definitely stress. I catch myself even clenching through out the day. Night guards can be great but Invisalign’s are a scam. It’s great for fixing the cosmetics but it doesn’t fix the root cause. There’s exercises you can do to fix it over time.
Yess girl i love listening to forrest frank too😊
Love Forrest Frank!!
I’ve been grinding my teeth for years. I wear a night guard and every single night but I still have some gum recession due to it. Ive never had a cavity but just gum recession.
Some days are hard and life can be hard but are so tough and Inspire us❤
Hi Michelle how are you happy Monday afternoon and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel and you are amazing supporter
Organika is another electrolyte brand with amazing ingredients for any Canadian girlies!
God always uses your videos for me especially since you uploaded this on a harder-than-normal kind of day 🤍
You can use camilia drops for teething helps alot
I grind at night too. Had to get a thick top retainer and a slider on the bottom. It’s not fun but your teeth can shift if you don’t stop it in time
were on the same boat Michelle! my bottom teeth are also crooked and I had braces as well!
Can you make some coffee print bookmarks? Teddy bears would be cute too for Christmas! Much love from Texas
We love forest frank!!!!!
Glad for another video!
The last day of Setember, Michelle, BTW yesterday, I went to Seattle, Washington yesterday for my first American trip.
oh how was it? ☺️
Great!
Yes, I grind my teeth and clinch my jaws during day. It's stress!
You should look up Now that we are a family. They have a lot of useful information on children. They have 4 and one on way.
So you know what the paint color in your bedroom is? Trying to choose a paint color and losing my mind lol but I love that color!
Super simple songs has a less annoying baby shark song. They have pretty good versions of nursery rhymes too. If anyone needs less annoying kid songs 😂❤
Twice a month cleaners is the best investment I've made since becoming a parent..
it is life changing 😅
I used to grind my teeth a lot! I’ve found that I often fall clenching my jaw and if I can consciously relax my face, I don’t grind as much overnight. Also like in labor when you have to think about relaxing your jaw and shoulders, it’s a similar feeling to relax?
totally, I’ve been thinking about it a lot more and it’s crazy how much I notice myself clenching out of habit 😅
