The proposition she has succeeded in arguing for is, “It’s possible to be intelligent and articulate whilst simultaneously being an ignorant fool.” I wish people like her would stop aspiring to pontificate on subjects they understand next to nothing about. God help the people who think there is any substance or sense to anything she regurgitated in this speech.
Defining 'sin' - as meant or used by the speaker; a good start. The definition is: 'what I mean it to mean' - in this case being = a bit of a rapscallion when it comes to some societally accepted norms (caveat: unless that deviation from the supposed norm is now politically incorrect - that is not at all OK); beginning on a bit of a rapid slide. Thus, if I understand her, being 'Gay' (currently a politicised term to cover a variety of sexual preferences, desires, or actions under a radical banner of victimhood, as quite distinct from the actual lived lives of the individuals involved .. some of which is antisocial and parts of which are still criminal or at least unlawful, if done in public) can now be redefined as a 'good' sin, maybe a means to some popular end, because, in principle, it is not considered a 'sin' at all, involving no wrongs done, etc .. hence it is worthy of applause not censure. Not really the best excuse to sin, i.e. to do an injustice to self or others or both = wrongdoing (i.e. socially, not just privately), willfully, knowingly, and/ or habitually. The only good reason to be unjust - to whomsoever - is that of purpose (something like: what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law, etc): getting what I want (by force, seduction, or acclaim), aka tyranny, or so it seems to me (and I suspect that kind of tyranny would not appeal to the MPhil speaker, unless she perchance could be that tyrant, perhaps). One hopes that Lady is for turning ... ;o)
This was truly one of the most childish, naive displays of hedonistic, short-sighted spirit of impulsivity I have ever seen. Sin and Sainthood are metaphors for modes of behavior, not necessatily religious and supernatural concepts.
I’m not sure wether a more appropriate response is to laugh or cry

Well said
The Christian god is a pile of garbage
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Yeah, she probably should have saved the wine for the bar afterwards. Would also I think have been better without all the swearing.

Sin and sainthood have NO value or meaning in a morally sound society. Well said!
