- This is the very first song we wrote together. Born on the ZBB tour bus in a blizzard, the idea for "Colder Weather" took weeks to come together, but when it did, we knew we had something special. Pre-COVID, we decided to get together and record our version of "Colder Weather" right where we wrote it, in Levi's home. We hope y'all enjoy it. Their version is the best
Wow! I'm just hearing the cut verse. It's amazing! It's one of my top three songs of all time. This just galvanized it. Beautiful.
That's how music is supposed to be done
Heard the Zac Brown Band version a short while ago. Thought it was as good as country music gets. Your 4th verse makes it better.
Thanks brother! 🙌
Definitely one in the pantheon of greatest songs ever written.
I travel for a living. This song hits home. I've said similar things to my wife.
Being on the road really brings this one to life. Appreciate you brother!
Excellent guitar arrangement! I'm stealing that, just sayin.
And in the rearview he can see a fire glowin'
His hesitation comes and goes without her knowing
And in the distance of the windshield he can see that snow has falling
And he wonders if his calling is worth one more goodbye
Fourth verse makes it even more awesome👌
Thanks guys! We are still here for you and your gift is priceless !
Thanks Linda! 🙌
I could listen to these two for days. Separately, good....together, AWESOME!!
Thank you Tye - really appreciate it!
awesome, y'all sound great together.
This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard!! So much love to the song writer!!
Thank you so much. It came from the heart
This has been my song for years. When Colder Weather comes on the bar jukebox, everyone knows Mark is there. When there's karaoke, Mark is there singing it. Never knew there was an additional verse. I love this!
Thanks so much for loving this song as much as we do. When the band wanted it to be a single, they had to make it shorter so they cut out the 4th verse. We are keeping it alive!
Brings back memories of when you played in a small venue in Philadelphia and I heard the 4th verse for the first time. MASTERPIECE!!!
Yes! Love that this verse is finally out in the world.
@@yesterdayswineofficial A very personal story in that 4th verse, I'm sure.
Most definitely :)
This is one of my favourite country songs. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks so much for the love Kalahari!
always loved this song. love it more now.
Thank you so much! Appreciate the love.
Stunning guys, simply stunning. I love this song even more now that I know the story of how you created it. Come play down under some time
Thank you Charlotte!
Just recently discovered this version fell in love with it the second I first heard it and has been on repeat ever since starting to think that I might have broken the repeat button cuz this is one of the best songs I've ever heard thank you guys for this song keep up the great work
Wonderful combination!
Glad you think so!
Outstanding!!!!!
Thanks Jim!
Thank you for this song. Its one of the favorites at our house.
Thank you for listening!
I didn’t come here to cry, yet here I am. 😭❤️✨beautiful!
Thanks for listening :)
I cry everytime i hear this song. ❤
pretty incredible for a first songwriting session together! first time I heard this song I thought it was a James Taylor penned track I never heard, that is how amazing it is. Thanks for all the great songs you guys have written. one more thing - there is something always special when you hear the songwriters perform their own material - amazing.
Thanks Chris!🙌
This is absolutely incredible. I'm going to see ZBB for the first time at the end of April so I was listening to a bunch of their songs and came across this. I had never heard the 4th verse until two days ago and I've probably listened to this about 50 times now. And I absolutely love Wyatt's vocals. Would absolutely love to see this live.
Thanks William!
Absolutely a wonderful thing to come home to!! Love hearing that missing verse again :)
Thank you so much! We love having it out in the world.
Amazing!!!
Thanks!!
Thanks for this. Killer song and loved hearing the additional verse. It's good to see the creative minds behind this song.
Thanks Dexter, the 4th verse really sums up the song for us.
Wow what a voice and singer
Thank you Brandy!
Thanks
So these are the writers huh?
Huge thanks, this song hits hard and cuts deep. It's on every one of my playlists.
Thanks brother!
Perfection! Love it. More please. :)
On it! Stay tuned for more :)
I assumed Wyatt was part of Zac Brown. Possibly because this ‘the country song I wish I wrote’.
Released when I travelled the country as a minor league baseball player, guitar in hand. Now a NY’er living in Texas writing songs.
Yet again....knocked it out of the park 🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️
Thank you so much Lori!
Damn! That's good!!
Great song guys can't wait for your next one. #1 or not you guys will be great!
Thank you so much John!
This is incredible!
Thank you so much Kristin!
This is such a beautiful song... Looking forward to listening to your own version with the extra verse, guessing that it will be a emotional ride...
Thanks Andreas - you can hear the extra verse right here in this video!
Love hearing the original version! Killer.
Thanks brother!
Missing verse adds so much
It's our favorite part. Thanks for the love!
Really nice track! Keep doing what you're doing
Thanks Amir!
This Song was already on of my favorite songs, but THAT 4TH VERSE!!!!! I've always pictured it, but had never heard it!!! I always wondered what he was thinking inside that car as he is driving away!!!! now I feel the song is complete. Thank you so much for this! Has ZBB ever recorded a version with the 4th verse? If not they really need to!
Thanks Nick - its our favorite verse too! They have not, but we released this version. You can find it wherever you stream music here: www.yesterdayswineofficial.com/link-in-bio
Love love!! Beautiful!!!
Thank you, Pam!
Very cool to hear this version! Sounds good.
Glad you like it, Kyle!
I love the ZBB version of this song, but the original by the song writers is so much better!!
Thank you brother!
I love this version so much, but I prefer the ZBB version with the part about with her ghost again. Very different meaning comes across in the the two versions.
Omg.
I'm in love!!
Yes! We love it!
I HAVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG FOR YEARS NOW!
I am from the Philippines and unfortunately country music isn't a thing here. I always wonder what my country would be like with country music. 😊
And as for the 4th verse, I'd say that I could feel that the song is finally complete. Thank you for writing and recording this masterpiece. I salute y'all! ❤
Edit: I wanna make a cover of this song, can I have your blessing? 😩
Thanks so much for the love and support. Please do make a cover! We'd love to see and hear it :)
thought im the only filipino who knows and loves ZBB...
@@JP-xq1dl There's no way you're the only Filipino who knows them. They're a big country music band. 😊
@@richardpetzoldt5284 They wrote it so...
Great 4th verse. This is in my top 10 country songs of all time. So cool that you guys respond to posts about your music. Could you help me with something. The ZBB video to the song to me clearly indicates a double suicide. Maybe you'll laugh about that like the meth story, but the video shows the barn burning and then he's singing "I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines. I'm with your ghost again." Indicating to me she's dead. Then "I know soon we'll be together and I can't wait till then" as if he's going to kill himself to speed up their reunion. I know that was not the way the song originated, but it seems to have morphed into that. Thanks so much for writing this.
Thank you for sharing. We love hearing what this song means to the listeners. That's the beauty of music - it can mean a million things to a million different people!
Uau...👏😍🌷
Thank you!
“Shove those whispering pines up your ass, Zac…” -me, on a beach somewhere in Punta Cana, circa 2014
😂😂
@@richardpetzoldt5284 Just a joke, buddy.
Might as well be honest about it though, he tossed that line in there to get the writing credit.

@@jixxer111 I love this original version, but I also love the version with the verse added by Zac. Very cool to have them both.
Why the hell are these guys not the ones that recorded this song
We recorded the original version with the 4th verse. Check it out here: www.yesterdayswineofficial.com/link-in-bio
Thanks for the support Colton!
Just wondering what's the No Thanks on your fretboard
Don’t need those notes above the 12th fret…for a songwriter. My guess
Does anybody have the tabs for this one?
Best version?
Hahah thanks Jeremy - appreciate the love!
Bs
Hope that means you loved it!
If these two are supposedly the original writers love the song since they can sing why didn't they just sing it instead of Zac Brown Band
Thanks for the love John. We've always been songwriters first, and are just now getting into performing. Check out our playlists of songs we've written here: th-cam.com/video/2LFP2KLabp4/w-d-xo.html
