Thought of this song tonight. It’s been the usual hot and humid southern Virginia August. Sooooo ready for Fall. The Blue Ridge Mountains are stunning in the Fall 🍂🍁🪵🍁🍂🪵 I’m ready for colder weather.

Wyatt Durrette wrote this song. Zac and the boys do an incredible job, but it’s Wyatt’s baby.
You got that right. Country then, just as it does today tends to reference the genre (itself) a little too often. The lyrics tend to be a little too “generalized”. Artists like to write about throwing off and having a good time, consuming alcohol and honky tonkin. “This is country, in the country, country girl, country boy, ice cold beer, my truck, family is a blessing, I miss her..” AND THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH ANY OF THAT. But when a song like this that’s perspective based (something happening in a person’s life.. who just happens to be a country person), with lyrics that are so well put together, with music that gives it a signature harmony.. it’s more than just a “hit” that tops the charts. It’s a very memorable song..
And there I stood. At the AT&T center next to my daughter. Listening the this song, and while I heard that beautiful melody, I could feel a single tear rolling down my face. But nothing could compared to the feel of the hug of my young daughter as the band played the final notes of this beautiful song. .
I meant my highschool sweetheart in evergreen Colorado where she grew up, I grew up in Lakewood, five minutes from RED ROCKS? we married and had 3kids and now have five grand kids! this concert Zach Brown live on the rocks means ALOT because one week after that show, I told my wife I wanted a divorce after 29 years of marriage, for a younger woman? what a mistake? anyway, it hit me hard the other night, when I came across this video, that was filmed for TH-cam, that very night we were still together, so enjoy COLORADO COUNTRY music everyone and happy new years to all of you!

That CROWD! The sound just gives me goosebumps!! I miss performing! Health and age prevents, sadly. BUT, I'll tell you one thing, dear reader: I was SURE glad and forever grateful to have had my 30 years of performing in front of crowds and hearing them cheer! I'll never forget it.

The first time I heard this song it really made me sit up and take notice.

The Zac Brown Band is by far the best of todays country music artists. The harmonies and distinc sound in Zacs voice compliment each other so well. Did I mention that they are all great musicians as well. Good job Zac Brown Band. Love the live stuff from Red Rocksa as well. No place like that for a concert.

This band reminds me of Alabama. Both great bands with great songs. Every musician is great by themselves, but when you combine them they become awesome.

Whoever says ZBB doesn't sound good live should receive a year's supply of Qtips! You obviously have not been to their concerts! I flew all the way from the Philippines to Florida and drove 13 hrs straight to Nashville to see them in concert. Spent $4000 in all just for that but I have not a morsel of regret! He sounds so good live it's almost a sin!
A big salute from the Philippines! I just discovered Zac Brown Band last year, since then I knew that they're big. Cruising on ship is a lonely career, everyday I play country music at my café including this song. I thank the Americans for this!

I'm from Puerto Rico. There's no country music here in the Caribbean (sadly). I just recently found out about The Zac Brown Band watching a Late Night show he did with The Foo Fighters. I was instantly hooked on this man's singing voice and I said... you have to find more about this guy and his music. And Oh, boy.... I wasn't prepared for this music. This band is AMAZING!!! Their musicianship is way up there with the best. It's been just a week since I first heard this song Cold Weather and now I have gotten all their CDs in my hands and they are incredible. Totally hooked on this great band. Like I said before... there's no country music here in the islands, but thanks to this man and his band I'm discovering more and more great country music artists. But so far.... The Zac Brown Band... they are THE BEST!!!

Perfectly worded, Ariel Cordero! I am a singer & former songwriter/musician until Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma eradicated my upper 6 1/2 register & Progressive MS crippled my hands. Zac has one of the most beautiful voices transcending any genre. His songwriting alternately touches my heart, evokes smiles or finds me with tears streaming down my face!
How can I see the tears in his eyes with all the tears in mine.
I used to live in Atlanta, Georgia and had a beautiful girlfriend there. Now I live in Denver, Colorado. We started talking again and now we're back together even though we're miles apart. This song applies to me like no other person.

Red Rocks Amphitheater got one hell of a performance that night. When it sounds as good as it does when it was recorded, doesn’t get any better than that IMO.

Probably one of my favorite versions of the song- theyre all amazing, but my favorites are this, the pass the jar version, and the acoustic version with just Zac. Love this band.

This is my absolute most favorite song by them. It conveys such emotion and reminds me a little of folk songs from the 70's(Seasons In The Sun, Fire and Rain, etc.). Truly beautiful and amazing.
If you’ve ever been up to Red Rocks Amphitheater you would wonder how Zac Brown Band could sing in that altitude. Walking up there and then the stairs…. I was in my 40’s and it nearly killed me 🤣 Seriously!

As good as all this is, I want to be there...in person....soaking up all the elements like I might not get a chance to hear it again. And that's OK, cause it's that good.
I just left my first ZBB show in Cincinati, this was probably the best preform song I've heard only behind something from the Eagles. Absolutely stunning
I just saw them live, too, and he stopped and sang "Take it to the Limit" in the middle of this song (for worse or better).

Really missing seeing you guys live in concert. Every year when you come to the amphitheater near Pittsburgh its a no miss concert for me. Been to Red Rocks once during the day on a work trip and that place is truly breath taking. Bucket list to see a concert there!
