Can someone tell me why they hated the first apartment but liked the second? They’re very similar. Apartment 1 is just a smaller version of apartment 2. “It’s ugly and charmless like the first but it’s OK because it’s big.” lol
You must have missed the part when Jody said the commuter train entrance is right across the street from the 2nd apartment. That alone would make the bigger apartment a more attractive place to live. Since they were living in a small, low ceiling basement apartment, and both of them are tall, bigger is much better.
