This is REAL TRADITIONAL JAZZ. All the elements are there: mutual soloing, blues scales, fun pop music lyrics and tremendous SOCIAL SPIRIT. THIS IS THE WAY JAZZ MUSIC WAS PLAYED OVER 100 YEARS AGO IN AMERICA!! Jazz music was the original pop music and this music still sounds amazing after 100 years. This band is so much fun and has absolutely the right spirit and joy to generate the world's greatest musical art form.

Does your sound man have a video showing the equipment he uses to get your musical audio to sounding so good live. And your band apparently uses some electronic display for your music score sheets - would you tell me what it is and how it works so well and who controls it.
No, I do not have such a video but here is a short description on some of the things I use. Feel free to ask questions. I am using a Midas mr18 mixer with usb output to Obs (on Ubuntu). I have a controller, Behringer xtouch, connected because I like physical faders. When it comes to microphones I am not using the same setup everytime but the main thing I look for is the pickup pattern and microphones with good off axis sound. Trying to not break the 3-1 rule most of the time and if I do I try to use more tight patterns to minimize the problems. Outdoors I use wind jammers on sensitive microphones and I also use a gate (or rather expander) and high pass to control noise. (Johan, sound and video guy)
