    I'm not sure if you know this but Google maps now can show the locations of EV chargers.
    When you open the app at the top of the screen, just below the 'Search here' field you'll see a number of filter options, 'Restaurants', 'Parks', 'Hotels' etc. Just swipe to the left until you see the word 'More' and trap on it. Now scroll down the list until you find 'Electric vehicle charging' and trap on that. The map will now show lots of local chargers.

    Good one Derek, I use Plug Share just to find chargers. I have just signed up for the Charge Map app & card mainly because I hope to do some driving in France & Spain when the pandemic allows.

    Hi Derek. We are planning a trip to Ireland in the summer so this is really useful. Has anything significant changed since you did the video? Thanks

      Not really to my knowledge, ESB and EasyGo you would be well covered. IONITY is you want a fast topup but expensive. Applegreen new to the market but only 20 sites at the moment. They have tap to pay

    Nice one Derek. Mind if I half-inch the idea for a North American version??

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem Steve. You would have come up with the idea anyway! My "one take rule" is a little rushed but if people want more details I'll happily do a more detailed and slower paced review of each one. Looking forgot to seeing what you do

      @@NevoEVReviewIreland I only knew half of those you included, so very interesting to see the apps that serve your area. Don't use ABRP much but its detail is great. ZapMap helped us around the UK and Plugshare is definitely its go-to counterpart here in the States.

    Hi.. Do you have any recommendations for the best App for use in Europe (and the UK) Excellent website !!

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Hans, great question. I'd say Plug Share and ABRP (A better route planner) would be my top 2 with Zap Map up there for the UK market too.

    Hi Derek, great video lot of Information provided. I'm looking get an ev, I have question, if I sign up for easygo and use esb public charger what would charge per kilowatt, is same tarrif as esb or more? Thankyou

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  ปีที่แล้ว

      More. The EasyGo app will tell you the price per location and they also have the connection fee

    Is it not possible just to use a payment card to pay instead of downloading apps that just take your information. In the UK its now law that you don't need an app to use a charger.

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment Graham. Yes it will be possible. I know EasyGo are looking at doing this. Price for tap only may be slightly higher than if you sign up with them but that can then be a personal choice.

    Hi Derek, I’m new to this game so I have a question for you I have an ESB pay as you go Ecar card do I have to keep it topped up or do the ESB take the payment for the electric I have put in my car at a charge point off my credit card. Does it apply to EasyGO as well.

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. To my knowledge, they will both automatically too up once the account goes below a certain level.

  • @micksey8212

    70 cent a KW on Easy go Jesus Christ. Go charge is 51 cent a KW and 56 cent a KW on the ESB, this is 2 years after this video was uploaded just check out the price increase in that time shocking.

      For sure! I'm a big fan. Have been using it for over 10 years. When I was living back in Mayo, I was mapping country roads for them as I drove it.
