Saint Vincent played a huge roll in Ada’s gender expression as well as exploring her sexuality. But she speaks abt dysphoria and that reduction and he def aided in that

I remember first reading Freshwater; it was during the lockdown and I was depressed. What they did with this book was warp my mind into a contortion that probably will never be unraveled. Saying they did a beautiful job is understating it.
We are plural (we have DID, formerly known as multiple personality disorder). The book, for us, was an expression of multiplicity. It was refreshing to see a lived experience that we can so much identify with, one that was not describing things through the lens of Western psychiatry, but in a whole different and quite spiritual way. We thank the author so much for bringing such a thing into a book, no matter where this story comes from and why it unfolded. It's not just voices in your head. It's them taking over your body, your life, your relationships, your diet, etc., without any of us identifying with all parts or even periods of our life.
A wonderful review of a fantastic book thank you. If anyone knows of any books that explore Igbo beliefs and culture written in English I would be happy to hear about it.

Am I the only one who found this book really weird?? I even did a vlog about it on my channel. But it's interesting to hear another perspective about the book.
I finished this book a few days ago and they wrote an amazing book. I cannot wait to read their other books. I have been recommending it to everyone
How many are these they?
@@shittuabimbola7101 Lool... Akwaeke likes to be addressed as “they"... It's an LGBTQ term (If I'm not wrong).
