"Zikora" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. This Short story is my favorite because of the tone, diction...which is simple, and the storyline speaks to every areas of life.
My favorite read of 2019 was Americanah. It is definitely the best novel published in the 21st century that I have read so far. I'm gonna check-out some of the other books on this video as well. Thank you all for making these book club videos.
All her books are amazing including the collection of short stories The Thing Around Your Neck. I equally love her 3 novels with Half of a yellow sun being slightly my favorite. I felt like I was there...
The Concubine By Elechi Amadi Tropical Fish By Doreen Balngana Haben By Haben Girma My Sister the Serial Killer By Oyinka Braithwaite Season of Crimson Blossoms By Abubaakar Adams Ibrahim Dear Ijeawele or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Moses in the School Farm By Barbra Kimenye Homegoing By Ya Gyasi Americanah By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Measuring Time By Helon Habila The Hairdresser in Harare By Tendai Huchu Lagoon By Nnedi Okorafor The Dragonfly By Yvonne Adiambo Owuor An Orchestra of Minorities By Chigozie Obioma Half of a Yellow Sun By Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
"Beyond the fourth Heritage" by Emmanuel S Kirunda was and is still my favourite book. It changed my mindset as an African. I wish all Africans could read it.
Are any of these books local books (i.e books by local African authors), or just books that have been endorsed by the West? My personal favorite book by an African author remains Eteka: Rise of the Imamba by Ben Hinson. It’s a pure action historical thriller which is a rarity in African writing.
I recommend a book called "What They Meant For Evil" by Rebecca Deng. She tells the story of her journey from Sudan to the Kakuma Refugee camp to the USA. I did an interview with here and was really impacted by her book.
Too often, taste isn't accountable.I'm dreadfully sorry none of these African authors are my cup of coffee. I did enjoy in the past Chinua Achebe, Tyaib Salih, Doris Lessing, Peter Abrahamas, Nadine Gordmier, Bessie Head, Denaw Mengestou, Aida Endemariam, Nugugi wa Tiongo, Nurdin Farah. and Camera Laye, among others. This upload is narrowly, too much, Nigerians.

Africa is not a country.
Its a continent, you can Google it if you want.
Alkebulan has never been a country. This drivel peddled by armchair philosophers remains true only in the comfort of their delusional minds.
Stop that lying
