    Any Aussies watching this in 2022, do a search for Amped Bros, ACE-X models are based on the same frame as the Ariel D, with many other similarities, 7-speed, tyres, dual-motor, bottle holder, taillight, reflectors, throttle, if this is what you want, you can have it now in Australia.

    I just got my Grizzly last Friday. And Loving it 😋. Agree on the cup holder issue. But my main gripe is the suspension. As I only weight about 160. The rear especially spring's are just to Stiff 😖. And unfortunately you can't adjust them to soften up the ride. But you can Stiffen them more with air and the preload adjustment. I'm not holding my breath but Ariel needs to offer lighter springs for the rear. Because you can use the preload adjustment to stiffen them up. I've taken mine offroad and even jumping of of a few crubs. And the rear shocks only compressed a little over an eighth of an inch. Using the sharpie test.Also I've been looking for another Charger so I can charge both at the same time. Found it.But unfortunately not with the correct plug to battery. As it looks like Ariel has their own proprietary plug.🙄🤨😒. At one hundred thirty eight Dollars. Gee I wonder what they'll charge once they start selling extra chargers. I haven't bothered emailing them yet. As it will probably be a while before they offer a second charger. Let alone softer rear springs if at all.😥. But I still Love the bike.its just rough on my 63 year old Body ouch.😖

    • @inGearAdventure
      @inGearAdventure  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sounds like you're having fun Wane! Pumped for you and your ride. Have you tried fully de-pressurizing the rear shocks and using a shock pump to adjust them? We'll work on a video with the details. I suppose being lighter and going faster has a trade off of a stiffer ride in the back! We're also on the hunt for a second rear charger.

  • @dev6326
    @dev6326 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Thanks for doing this!! I'm torn between D-class and Grizzly. Neither are an option to test ride, so I'm going off research and word of mouth. Quick question! You mentioned the D-class is your favorite between the 3. What reasoning? I only ask because it could help me figure out which one I get. I live in a very flat state and about 80% of usage will be on pavement, trips will be relatively short (no more than 15 miles in any direction), and it's going to be mostly for scooting around town on nice days and then the occasional adventure. I like the look of the D-class better, but also want a great performance. Above everything, I put performance. If the extra battery is worth it performance-wise, I may just go with the Grizzly. If it's not really a big difference, I'll most likely go with D-class. What do you think? Great video, btw!! Thank you!!

    • @KINGQUESO21
      @KINGQUESO21 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the D class, for me the Grizzly would probably weigh too much. I have to put it in my camper quite a bit when we go camping. The battery life drains quickly when kids are riding with me, but mostly because we weigh quite a bit.

      The seats have different shapes and the frames have different shapes as well I think you can switch the X class seat for the grizzly seat but the D class it is completely different and I don’t think would work well unfortunately because I would totally swap the seats as well!

    dang… I still can’t decide which Ariel Rider to buy. I’m my new to ebike purchasing (i have a very powerful e-scooter called Vsett 10+ with 60v 25.6ah battery 1400w dual motor that I’m planning to sell soon since I wanna switch to ebikes). I’ve decided on Ariel Rider ebike than other brands- but im not sure if X-Class or D-Class is for me (Grizzly is super nice but too expensive for my budget). The D-Class seems dope cuz of the dual motor like my e-scooter, but unsure about range and gnarly hill climb since it’s only 48v, 21ah, while the X-class is 52v but at 18ah . My Vsett escooter can go 45 miles via aggressive riding (20 - 46mph) and extremely steep hill climbs in Seattle. Obviously I won’t be able to achieve 40+ mph with these ebikes but anyone know if X-Class can go farther than D-Class in real world range, throttle only going say 15mph - 30+mph?

    • @inGearAdventure

      Rear suspension makes a big difference, I ride my hyperscorpion over my d class for that reason.

    • @inGearAdventure
      @inGearAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rear suspension is definitely a big benefit if you expect rough terrain, but you could get away with a hard tail if you'll mostly be riding on the street/bike paths! Best option is to try it out before buying, if possible!

      Me too. Waiting for them to make one a little smaller and lighter. I have a 28" inseam. I'm 5'3". Also make it less than 50 pounds, like 45 pounds. I'd buy it if it existed. Love the Ariel bikes.

      @@iosifkovalenko8364 I'll find one soon. As much as I love the Ariel! Lectric etc, I have to think about realistically I'll be riding it. Maybe even a kid's bike? I may get by tooling around town with a 350 or 500 motor. If I get fit enough maybe step up later.

      Great question. They're very different bikes (full suspension vs. hardtail, MTB vs Scrambler style, dual motor vs. single motor, different passenger capabilities, battery capacities, etc.). eBike can be very specific to what a person is looking to do. Have fun riding!

      True! The low-cost approach will continue to be heavy, though, until the tech comes along. There are extremely light options out there (primarily in the eMTB and eroadbike space) but they're extremely pricey!

    There are some really dumb speed laws regarding e-bikes. So did they come to make sure you followed them and harass you, or were they really just interested?

    Why dont the x class ones use mid motors, A mid is far more better for gear range, I just done a carrera hellcat lmt edition bafang mid motor build 750w, 1500w peak, With a 20ah battery cost me just over a grand, An for those specs im not getting any E-bike for that price, Plus putting the motor on myself gave me crazy self satisfaction, Prob more than just getting an E-bike delivered, I will say tho, I wish i had the same seat, My ass hole telling me its uncomfatable, lol, Anyone know the best seats for comfort on amazon or ebay, So many i dont know what to get, lol...
    I wonder what a cyc motor would be like on the x class, A mid motor is just so much better than a hub, Even my electric scooter is chain driven lol, I will say tho these Arials look proper comfortable, A lean back an relax ride, Beach rides, I prob would buy one if i had the spare money, But im so glad i done my own bafang build, Now i know how to fix it aswell, But these be nice if yoo bucked up, Here in the UK, People cant even afford gas, Wont the States share some of that petrol you all got, lol, I wonder if Biden even likes b0ris here in the UK, Never gave us a trade deal, Not suprised tho...
    I will say the E-bike industry is only just picking up here in the UK over the last 2 years, They still super expensive, So if a bike company was to hit the UK with an affordable E-bike a lot of money can be made, But whats more, More people will buy an E-bike, The prices scare a lot of people off, It dont cost that much to produce either, An if they are cheaper you will sell more, Therefore making more in the long run....
