An assault damage control would be good for those 'oh shit' moments.
Looks interesting - I like the Isthar, so I will definitely try this..
I am pretty sure that it was the multibody tracking pylon that made the trig room shoot you so much worse the second time.
I fly a Kiki a LOT. The disintegrators have naturally really insane tracking is why I think they get so many better shots. I can do most L4 missions in it as well with a speed tank (10mn afterburner).
hey, thanks for all the good videos. One thing about the Ishtar is the drones are somewhat slower than the mediums, it adds up. Testing on sisi your T6 Zealot - its amazing. For T4 its hard to beat the Gila is it not
Appreciate the good videos on Abyssals! You've helped me alot, Sure I've lost a few fits following but that's more due to me and piloting error, mostly MWDing through a speedy cloud and zooming 4.2k mps into the abyss lol. But the fits and advice is solid. I don't know why you receive alot of hate. Must be the 14 and 15 year olds who can't follow or comprehend simply directions lol.
What's the recommended ship/fit for doing firestorms? I like the idea of having to buy cheap filaments, the savings add up over time. But not sure where to go. I see people use Gilas, Ishtar's, and t2 triglavian ships.
When I learned about Abyssal deadspace, my first impression was to make a very similar build for Firestorms, without knowing Firestorms were not the meta. I have yet to test it out due to not having the money to get Omega yet, but I have a couple of alterations in my build, if you're interested.
1) Why are you not using Assault damage control? Your tank probably would have held far better overall with that compared to what I assume was a mutispec.
2) I'd swap the med cap battery for a web. This would help tracking issues for both main guns and drones when you're being swarmed, but I wouldn't replace the tracking omni link because:
3) Garde drones? I'm unable to test this out, but if someone else can I'd appreciate it. In the first few seconds of the engagement, sitting stationary and picking off some approaching ships with Garde *might* be beneficial? At least the Ishtar's vast drone bay allows you to not choose between them and ogres. Then once they've closed the gap, pull back the Gardes and revert to normal.
4) I like the remote repairer; it gives one's tank versatility that I hadn't though of before, so I might use that. But other than that I'd use small projectiles over small hybrids. This is solely because I can use ammunition more dedicated to Thermals. Again, without field testing I can't be sure that range and tracking will fit in the scenarios, but at least they won't use precious capacitors.
I know this is an old video, but I think you've got something on the assault damage control.
Edit: Ok, so assault damage control shows up green on in game fitting tool, and shows super high resists. You need to set it to online to represent the majority of the time you use it.
It is online most of the time. It runs active for 10/150 seconds. The module he has on there actually provides better resists for the other 140/150 seconds.
If however you want to avoid ganks, and aren't pushing the limits, there's few things more brutal for a ganker than someone lighting an assault damage control after they take the initial salvo, pushing your good resists over 90%.
Please advise fitting on armageddon navy issue PvE
how viable is it to use a geko in the ishtar
Is this done an the test server? Reson i ask is u very rarely pick up the loot betwinn the rooms.
I'd love to see you actually loot things in these videos... It's not really a fair representation of a full test as you're not taking into account the time it takes to loot.
Lost my 3rd 3bil isk ishtar again doing t6 gammas. Im out of time with those 30 cruiser spawns. I dunno what Im doing wrong. Maybe too much weed but on the test server I am fine. I can do 12 sites in a row. On the live server I died 3/4 of them. Im gonna try a dark or a thermal one bc my gallente drone skills are maxed out and there is no bonus to hitpoints. Hopefully my cap and shield tank hold up 😂😂😂.
Sorry but that fit does not work for me, Karybtis kills me.
testing anything on test server means nothing. Zero.
