On the water-cooled 1200’s the transmission is lubricated with the engine oil, so nothing separate to change. I have videos on changing the final drive oil which is quite easy. You can support us by buying your supplies at www.pacmototours.com/store. Thanks for the feedback!
Very helpful - thanks! I'll see if I can find that device to reset the service interval. At 30 screws to change the air filter I think we'll be doing more servicing ourselves.
I noticed you spliced the video at 7:38 to remove an hour of finagling. Note to BMW - There's already two bolts on top of the gas tank area. I wish your engineer just added two more bolts and created an easy to remove cover so I could use my day for riding not waste it replacing the air filter. Design rating = FAIL
I would like to see transmission oil change on a 2018 R1200RT BMW motorcycle, and your videos are great

I saw a great tip the other day where you use a piece of cardboard to punch in the screws as you remove them so you know where to put them back.
@@PacMoto So simple .... an elegant idea!
Hi great movie very nice filmed ;)
Thanks!
Great job again really helpful Thanks!
Thanks for the comment!
Air filter design and replacement = fuggin nightmare. Thanks BMW
Yeah, right!
If that air filter change looks hard - try it on a 2018 and up Goldwing (3 ½ hours minimum if you know what you’re doing).
I had no idea!
I would instead replace ten of these compared to my CTX1300D. The airbox is buried inside the engine.
So you only had to take apart the panel from the right side and not the left, correct
You need to loosen both sides to open the panels to get to the air filter.
Changing an air filter. Anyone want to buy a R1200RT?😮
I know, right!

No doubt changing the air filter in the RT is a total PITA!
