Yeah, this video was *so* deep! I watched it several times and caught a few themes. It seems like RM was wandering through different "boxes" that society placed him into, like partying, having a family, being with a pretty woman despite the fact that she has a *severe* anger problem, etc. He even changed clothes, putting on a lot of expensive, stylish outfits before choosing modern Hanbok - which is what RM's really about. And *that's* when he met his soulmate for the first time: a woman who was being herself just like he was being himself. But they didn't fully connect right away, and he went back to exploring those boxes again. But all the while that door was there, and when he finally accepted her invitation, they walked through it together and *walked out of* those boxes. Now they're together, they've learned to accept their true selves, and they're free to be their true selves. That's my take, anyway.
Hi Guys, One always has to watch and listen to RM'S lyrics several times to understand what he is telling us, but your explanation was very good. Now, I can watch this several times to comprehend what he is conveying to us. Wrong place wrong time suddenly explains how often this happens to many of us with family (thanks Blaze) and friends.❤ Borahea 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜 💜
I’m always confuse and unable to grasp the deep storylines in their MVs but this is a good take and perception and I totally agree with it too ❤❤ RM’s artistry shining once again
I kind of feel like this was about coming back to himself. Like overthinking choices and worst case scenarios. But realizing that whatever path you take could also turn out really great. So basically being present, allowing yourself to have hopes and dreams and not letting fear keep you from moving towards them.
That was my impression.. Or dealing with pressures/ expectations even from parents (wanting you to stand as a baby, and disappointed when you don’t) intense.
Such a deep video, RM loves wordplay, the title Come back to "me", doesn't refer to another person, rather coming back to yourself, finding your true self amongst all the roles we have to play in life. He searching in the maze for himself and the turning point is when he recognises himself in the woman. He has found himself. Now as the video progresses he is no longer lost and able to enjoy all the roles life may throw up. Ultimately this gives him the courage to leave the maze and walk through it confidently because he's no longer lost he has "come back to"me" himself.
I really love this interpretation. Right place, Wrong person overall gives me a similar idea that he's talking about himself to come back to. Hes in the right place to be with BTS and BigHit the entire time, but perhaps he always struggled with his identity in every era, always wondering if what he's doing is right or the persona he has is right too. I believe RM always believes that as people are always constantly growing, everything he's been and everything he's done has still led him up to where he is and what he is and he is grateful for that. But his last solo album also has to do with rediscovering who he is and I think this album is the conclusion of that. I think that since come back to me is the last song on the tracklist, it's his final conclusion that he'll finally be the right person in the right place to reunite with BTS
I believe he is referring to the social norms and expectations. You don’t have to fit in by becoming a father or a husband, or have a kid. It’s his way to share with us his way of searching his path. RM has an intelligent mind and the context of his lyrics is deeply philosophical. That’s how I understand the concept.
I agree, and I think showing the end as a kind of maze of boxes emphasizes that. Those are all the different 'expectations' that people can get stuck in and not be able to find their way out of.
I think RM wants to say that everything we face in this world, be it children, teenagers, families... everyone has made mistakes... that's normal, as long as we can make everything good again... sometimes we don't become ourselves. alone.. but when we are aware and become ourselves.. everything is fine again..
Loved Blaze’s analysis. RM also made me think about choosing to escape the expectations/boxes that we get trapped in by ourselves and others. I mean we all know the “rules” like red yellow green. But some things don’t or shouldn’t have rules, like outdated societal expectations. And what kind of guide was the woman? She had a rural feel to her. Humble. Real. Still thinking it through! 💜
I think the girl was lost too when he saw her behind the leaf. The both lost trying to figure out life and societies roles but the happiness that comes from knowing that he’s not alone, he found another lost like him and they enjoy eachother’s company and help each other travel through the unknown door. I dont think they are lovers, they stay at a distance and dont touch but find happiness in eachother’s presence. She could be ARMY or those he’s inspired by.
I soo agree with you, it didn't click me right away but on the 2nd watch it hit me, she runs in confused just like he does in the first half and then he realizes that she's similar to him. The shift in camera showing 2 RM and then one of them is her conveys that he recognized her to be just like him. For me it was exactly what the album name states, the places and situations depict the general societal scenarios and he always felt out of place everywhere, isolated, confused but when he saw someone else who resonated with him, it made him realise that he's not alone and he doesn't have to surrender to them norms. The walking out of door and the different spaces seen atop prolly symbolizes them finding their own way out of said norms. Loved it to bits!
I agree to this too. Bc there are two other scenes when he’s with a woman seemingly romantic. The last woman who looked lost as well seem to severe not romantically but being to find people who you see yourself in and them in you. It makes you feel less alone and less out of place. After meeting he’s able to be engaged in all the scenarios we’ve seen him in earlier.
So I never pick up on m/v details but the door got me. Red, blue, & green (the circles on the door) are the 3 colors of light that make up all the colors we see. For me, it meant the next phase of his journey: from mono to indigo to a full life of color.
If you look at them it's like a stoplight. Red at the top and green at the bottom. There's also a square light next to the jamb that apparently shows what light is on also. Light was green when he opened the door.
@@cynthiaperez2232 I interpreted it as a stop light too. At the end when they're preparing to walk out the door, you can see that she is bathed in green light (symbolising going forward) but he's bathed in amber (slow down) but it changes to green as well, symbolising that he is now ready to go. Then they open the door.
💜 the serene girl, FOR ME, is his freedom: calm, happy, confident and determined and he "finds her" in himself when he stops feeling inadequate and insufficient, whatever the context he was in, the self-confidence to pursue any possibility and experience in life is right outside the door 💜
@11:21 Twitter Theory has Joonie getting in touch with his Anima, the part of his Happiness he'd forgotten in the Race through the Maze, where he'd been obsessed with "Right" and "Wrong" Choices. For Me, The MV is evoking Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and David Bowie's MV for Thursday's Child- the fear of **Making The Wrong Choice**, only to find You're Exactly where you're meant to be 💜
I made a connection with the film Everything Everywhere All At Once. The MV, lyrics and the film touched me deeply in the same way. “You are exactly where you are meant to be”. I saw the reels with RM mentioning the film. I’m eagerly waiting for his hidden messages and poetical and philosophical puzzles we are going to solve and interpret after 24 May
I thought of 'The Midnight Library,' which was a book that Yoongi was reading (and I think RM mentioned), in 'In the Soop 2'. Essentially, the protagonist is given a chance to look over various of her "Lives" with the different outcomes depending on the choices, whether big or small, that affect the outcome of how her life turns out. And she gets a chance to explore them for however long she likes. And that's the premise of it. So, that's the feel I got when I first saw the MV on release.
@huntressmma1822 It's well worth the read. And same here. I got 2 of RM's recommended books recently: * In Praise of Love - Alain Badiou And * The Agony of Eros - Byung-Chul Han, So, I have to read those two, too, as RM recommended reading them at the same time or one after the other.
RM is getting to do the music reflective of who he is now….he has come back to himself and accepts where he is now. Also love how he is just RM and doesn’t look like an idol here….can’t wait for the rest of this album! Can you imagine the new music we will get from them as a group in a few years? Thinking they are going to really change kpop💜
Definitely Namjoon is making us exercise our neurons with this music video and the lyrics of this song. My personal take: The music video illustrates so many of the feelings, thoughts and introspections that Namjoon has shared with us either during his Weverse lives, in his songs or written interviews. The song's lyrics depict loneliness even symptoms of depression whilst trying to convince oneself that they are "fine". There's a sense of longing- a yearning yet also maybe fear or uncertainty of fulfilling certain roles for others ie friend, husband/ father, partner, son etc In the MV, it seems like RM is searching for someone - the mysterious lady who may either represent THE core persona of himself especially his truest self where he does not need to conform to whatever role that's placed upon him but just be himself and free to choose whoever he wants to be and whatever he wants to do. In all the different scenes in the beginning, he is not "present" at times even puzzled questioning why he is in that scene/or that aspect of his life. He realizes that the only way to liberate himself and shake the shackles of societal roles is to want to be that person or be present by being your true self. Only then can he venture outside beyond that locked door to the unknown future because he has finally found that part of himself that he thought he lost and love himself with all his imperfections discarding society's or people's expectations. He also knows that he is not alone. He takes a deep breath and with firm resolve opens the door to a world/future/life rife with a million possibilities and hopefully inner peace and happiness. "You are my pain divine divine" - he is his own divine pain - an inescapable pain borne from internal struggles within his profession as a musician triggered by external or internal factors. Being at the pinnacle of success with BTS and carrying the weight of that position and expectations of him as the leader of BTS, does he even have the room to breathe? That is why that deep exhalation just before he opens that locked door is so profound to me. Then the reassuring and encouraging glance from the girl was impactful too.
I, too, kept hearing that line "you are my pain, divine, divine", and questioning how pain can be classified as "divine". Your explanation makes so much sense to me. Thanks so much for providing this!
RM is so poetic, so deep. A deep thinker. Thoughts going back to when he was a child, but possible having adult thoughts. The turmoil that happens, sometimes in relationships. And in the end forgiveness, back to the center. I always love his words. And may I add, drop dead gorgeous. He is fine.
I also think the woman at the end is ARMY. The way he looks at her like looking for reassurance on his new chapter and the way she nods at him like saying keep going, you don't have to worry, I have your back.
The woman at the end isn't ARMY. His video is telling you who the person is if you connect the dots. This video is about him finding his soulmate, his happiness. It's a puzzle for ARMY. The party scene, the colors, the locked and unlocked door, his words. They're not lost anymore because they've found their way back to each other, they're ready to make a lifelong commitment and start a family ( with children, pets or both). They're walking out the door to face the world, happiness, hardships and obstacles together. His joy, his love, his happiness has come back to him. He's telling you who that person is. This video is the messenger delivering a message in a puzzle for you to solve. This video exemplifies the title of his album, right place, wrong person.
I'd be very disappointed if that woman was ARMY. That just ruins the entire contemplative and introspective nature of the song and music video. I'm sure it's much much deeper than that.
Thank you guys for your words and your unconditional love for BTS. RM total genius leader composer and singer #RETURN TO ME pure art let's continue fully with the STREAM imminent rise let's not leave please. I love you guys💜💙💛
I don’t know HOW … but his amazing talent and the way he puts things out in music … connecting with people in the most meaningful way possible… IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE AND UNIQUE!!! once again … 💜💜💜💜hat off to another masterpiece of our leader nam !!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜ARMY TILL THE END 🎉
RM MV takes place in a labyrinth which he actually owns a picture of one. Look for the COLOR of lights and also in one the actors faces. Finally at the end is explained that he is finally in the right place himself to be with the right person at the right time. This MV is complicated to follow but are you the right person at the right time in order to be with the right love ??????
Somebody on Twitter said that it was like Midnight Library. He's going through all these life (scenerios) and he's unhappy in all of them. In the end he realized it was himself/the way he viewed things. Everything absolutely wasn't terrible...that's when he could finally go through the door and move on. Shootout to whoever had that thread.
This makes me think about the 2022 Festa dinner where he was explaining how he was feeling. Going through the motions, feeling lost, as a person and an artist. He’s finding himself.
I missed RM sooooo much!!!!!! Our lyrical genius. I love the same lines AJJ. From this video, I partly agree with Blaze. I believe that RM was lost, but was found as he spoke to the woman on the sofa. From that moment on he seemed happier and he was able to accept those around him. I love art because two people can look at the same thing and see something totally different. I miss our guys sooooo much! As usual, thanks for the reaction guys!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Wow, I´m enchanted by the lycrics of song, it has an absurd depth, and that melody, my people. It´s not for everyone. Namjoon is to be congratulated. these lyrics so peeply to what´s inside us.
I agree! This will be a masterpiece! Right from the beginning he had me. The lyrics, that blues and jazz music. As usual, his low, sexy, sultry, raspy voice just makes it so smooth. Oh I’m ready for RM! This album is going to blow us away!
I think the scenes are normal societal scenarios that he may or may not conform to. He makes the rules for his life. If he wants kids he'll have kids but if he don't want kids he won't be pressured into having them. His partner is chosen, he's happy and he want you to be happy for them. You should view it many times until you find the messege he's delivering. This video is beautiful to see but the real beauty is the creativity in getting out his messege. This video is a mystifying riddle for all to solve but made unpretentiously for ARMY.
He sounds so good! I love the vibe. Very deep song. You know it is when it comes from the mind of Namjoon! Always love your videos. You make it fun to share BTS together!
I think he is talking about happiness and peace that he had lost, asking it to come back to him. And of course the lady probably represents Army too. 🥰👑💎💙💜♾️🌌
I have been in love with this song since he sang it last summer at Suga's concert. When I listen to the music, I feel it is a romantic song about a partner he longs for. When I watch the video, the story unfolds differently. RM finding his way and his authentic self. RM is on a journey and he is taking us with him, how lucky are we. I love that I can feel differently hearing the music and seeing the video. RM congratulations and thank you. Creative team congratulations and thank you.
Are we really ready for BTS? They are so in mesh to wreck us emotionally? I have never felt more alive by their artistry. I can put an astronaut, a right indigo in the right spot, on a rainy stumping seven days a week, coz he standing next to Jack wanted more, like crazy, f* your ops, and snooze because life is a haegeum. Hajima, even a muted shi-bal won't measure up with this mind-blowing experience to be contemporaries with BTS. And you know Jin is coming!
Yes it does feel like a mini movie they always give you more than just a MV..soooo beautiful I love the music, the message is beautiful loving the different sides they explore in their 🎶 music! So heartwarming 💖 💕 seems like an evolution of his feelings...Im definitely here for RM never disappoints 🔥🔥🔥💜. Loving it
Each moment could also represent a desire, a dream, unrealized, and through the process of his fame, the end of the video takes the dream to an illusion. IMO the lyrics of this song harbor great depths.
Ah gosh, RM is an ARTIST. Sometimes I really miss his older rapping style, but I always love all the new stuff he puts out, too. His work is always so different and thought provoking. I feel like none of his albums are like each other, and we are moving along his artistic journey with him. Hold on to your hats, army!!
RM talked about it in his LIVEs a lot about how turning 30 was a huge moment for self identification. He also said if life is a soup then he’s a fork. Seems like this video is about coming to terms with that sense of self and where you are in whatever chapter of life you’re in and how it ultimately leads you to the same place. That door is constantly popping up. And at the end there’s all these different scenes on a stage set. And that’s life. Everyone is putting on an act. And each act is a part of an unread script. We are all just playing our roles in life. But you can be present in those moment s and enjoy it or you can always be on the search for the next act the next scene. Either way you end up where you’re meant to be regardless. Be it marriage or college or career or just playing in the streets or starting a family or staying by yourself, at the end you end up where you belong anyways and who you belong with and as long as you don’t end up alone, it’s all good. You can look back on that life with no retreats. Namjoon is brilliant with his play on word from Korean to English here. Sometimes nothing matters and yet it all matters. Over thinking it or not caring at all doesn’t change the outcome. Really love how he portrays the lyrics so cleanly and yet he allows the emotion to be interpreted many ways. Beautifully done
I think it's an enigma of the things that happen in his head, as if it were some parallel world from which he moves, and that somehow brings a "false" lightness to their turbulent lives. I think there's a lot to come, I'm looking forward to it. ❤
Editing to say this is my assumption on the meaning of the video, I could be 1000% wrong lol That lady is ARMY. The door has RGB circles, the foundation of all media screens, home for a born entertainer and the medium for our communication. The different scenes are all the possibilities of his life that couldn't happen because he;s been an entertainer the whole time, that surreal feeling of being a partial spectator to your own life is probably enhanced so much for him, but with ARMY and him together he can deal with all of this, with humor and acceptance, if sometimes melancholy and lonely and alienating, full of what for other people are obvious basic choices but for him carry so many paths full of immediate high stakes. The crib and parents are the infantilizing conditional transactional "love" of industry, of heirarchy, who still try to get him to smile for the camera, but are instantly disappointed and abandon him if he doesn't play their game. At the end he sees, with army, its all a performance, sets and tableaus, but with army he can wrap those industry opps around his little finger and walk through the maze of set pieces with out losing himself to it. A divine pain, as the sea can sometimes be. ARMY's love is loyal and real, with standards and principles, and our presence gives him comfort and grounding, perspective, the door to Kim Nam Joon being RM is unlocked by him and ARMY together. Loe you guys, borahae, countdown to 2025
Notice how Suga and now RM both had a locked door in their videos. At the end of the song when they free themselves or get back to who they used to be is when the door was open
First of all. as usual, thanks for waiting 24 hours to post your reaction, this is the reason you're the only reactors I still see. I love how you try to analyze the video, I've read so many explanations and all make sense. And if we go by Joon way of thinking, he may never explain the video, he did it with mono when he didn't share the lyrics because he wanted everyone to understand what they want to understand. Waiting for the album where we'll get 10 more songs that will just reassure us what we already know, that Namjoon produces masterpieces. A 6-minute song, he talked about how to make a hit, it needs to be 2.30 or so but he doesn't want to compromise his artistry and he has shown in with this. Amazing!
Bruh, you're absolutely correct! It's a big hint from day 3/finale of encore concert of Yoongi..the mv is so all over the place..with a touch of jhope 'more' mv from the different mini rooms, whistling from the DNA song, friends of V from the toothbrushing, and the chaos of the people around him(RM), and he has different roles in life but at the end of the day..he is RM! Love this mv.
I love how RM's mind works! This video is trippy, but real. We all live in different "boxes", depending on what's happening at the time, and how we are feeling or coping. Love you guys!
I think it's about everyone else's expectation for his life. He's lost himself at times, disappointed people's expectations and tried to be who they thought he should be. In each incident, he felt uncomfortable. It wasn't until he just settled in on being the natural, authentic Namjoon that he was able to find comfort. Peace - barefoot and unadorned - just himself. Beautiful lesson and something we all go through in finding out path in life.
When he meets the woman, that like him is running in the maze that is Life, he recognizes himself in her. They sit together on the sofa and time just flies, from morning till evening and it feels like seconds. Once he meets her, all aspects of his life could be better. Then they could open the door together to the future, understanding the maze. The door itself with the three circles could represent the three dimensions: past, present, future. Red, green, blue.
I got the same impression too Cominv back to himself we all go through difficult moments in life ups and downs and it's good to know and see we're not alone and he's coming back to himself...always love your reactions 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Love the video…deep. I admit when I first saw it I was saying when he is going to start rapping then I remembered Suga’s concert and was like…oh is this the song? Nice!!
I really liked the take that it's like when you are physically present but mentally absent. That's an interpretation that I haven't heard before, but it totally makes sense!
Love this song💜💜 Also when I first saw this my mind immediately went to the whole multiverse theory ...he's also mentioned this a lot especially referencing Dr. Strange..but I feel like he's been constantly trying to find himself or fit himself into situations people wanted him to or expected him too...until he finally accepts himself and what his actual situation is...then he can finally be happy and free and enjoy his life the way he wants
RM is spreading his artistic wings and he told us he was going to do this! I believe this MV is a perspective of being in a specific space in time and how you react there make difference! He’s genius and love this MV a song!!! Album will me experience 💜🫰🏽💜
So many things he could not accept at the start. He couldn't fit in somehow. Until he encountered himself, took a good look, and realized he could accept himself. Then he did. Which is when he came back to him. And everything fell into place. And he was able to walk through the complexity of himself and his life and compartmentalize it all.
Kim Min-Ho! She's the brilliant actress who starred in Pachinko playing opposite Lee Min-Ho! What a great choice to have chosen her to be RM's soulmate (I'm guessing). His solo music videos have always been deep and top class. It's a loss for people to not know his "Joke" music video. And now this. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How can other people say that BTS copy their music.?? They don't even have the brain to function to! This MV is an example of creation of RM (BTS) with content that was intricate and hundred of miles away from their styles of singing. So proud of RM! Great mind with great vision!
all i can say is namjoon's work always makes me speechless after. everything he did make me question the world and u know even my existence hahahaha bc idk he gave beautiful definition on things that if we look at it, it aint like that. if u know what i mean haha. everything he did is art just like his personality, he's an art. the choice of his words, damn. i am always impress. he's a real genius! thats our president y'all!!!!!!!
I love how Blaze interprets this. I love how he understands and gives his thoughts and perspective to it. RM is very poetic person and I love it. 🙇♀🙇♀✨✨
I totally agree with what you've said. I mean the interpretation goes many ways (no one's is wrong here, interpretation is open okay) and we can say that she's ARMY BC you remember how he started out his career, he was an angry teenager, coming from the underground rap world he had certain stereotypes on him, people saw him as a rookie leader and he had to fight his way out. And When he found ARMY which was quite a while BC he struggled to find his happiness and acceptance within himself. Until true ARMY showed him so much love he's somehow found himself. As for the other scenarios I think it's because of Army's love that he's grown to adapt to his life situations. Anyways you're a smart ARMY BC I didn't realize she had purple on at the end. You've got great eyes for details💜
Sorry if this seems a bit extreme, but I really wished people stopped acting like 7 grown adults make every single one of their songs about ARMY. Their music is much better when they talk about the stuff that is personal to them, like every lauded artist does. When they talk about societal norms, governmental corruption, education stress, artistic desire, identity crisis, diss tracks. I'm sick of hearing the 1000th song about ARMY. Maybe he will end up saying this song is about ARMY, maybe he won't. I see this is a frown man, finally, finally, allowed to express his identity fully without millions of hungry 13 year-olds on his back waiting for him to write another song about them.
A true artist. The story of the video, the lyrics and the song is genius. High quality music. I expected nothing less from the great Namjoon💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Great reaction, FAM! I agree with AJJ; based off this track, this album is gonna be the one. I still can't believe RM gave us the gift of hearing this song in its raw, unprocessed state on the last day of SUGA's tour. The finished product is smooooth with a nice little funky groove underneath. RM is a true artist in every sense and I can't wait to hear and see what he has for us with the rest of this album. It's going to take us on a journey for sure. 💜
RM the creative mastermind 🤩 It’s as if he is going through the motions in life and burnt out, needing a spark to ignite the light in him. The rooms are like all his thoughts in his mind about past, present, future. The lady represents that light, his happiness and calms the worries or stresses he is having so he can go forward. I know this doesn’t hit everything and I enjoy interpreting this video, it’s awesome. Maybe he will give an explanation in the future.😍💜🫰🏽
I was thinking that too over and over in my head
This was basically my take.....but that the lady in the end being the Army because she's in a purple ish dress and purple light glows across her face.
You're all definitely on to something 🤔🪖💜🏝️
I’m always confuse and unable to grasp the deep storylines in their MVs but this is a good take and perception and I totally agree with it too ❤❤ RM’s artistry shining once again
I kind of feel like this was about coming back to himself. Like overthinking choices and worst case scenarios. But realizing that whatever path you take could also turn out really great. So basically being present, allowing yourself to have hopes and dreams and not letting fear keep you from moving towards them.
Yes!
That was my impression.. Or dealing with pressures/ expectations even from parents (wanting you to stand as a baby, and disappointed when you don’t) intense.
Actually it was until he found himself in the room that he was comfortable with everybody else, and then he was able to go out to reality ❤
와우 남준의 생각을 통찰한거 같아요
Good uncomplicated explanation . Thankyou 💜
Agree
Agree
I'm agree with you
This!!! I was coming around to this conclusion but you articulated it well.
I'm so happy to be alive in a time when BTS exists. They are once-in-a-century type artists.
💯
I believe he is referring to the social norms and expectations. You don’t have to fit in by becoming a father or a husband, or have a kid. It’s his way to share with us his way of searching his path. RM has an intelligent mind and the context of his lyrics is deeply philosophical. That’s how I understand the concept.
I agree, and I think showing the end as a kind of maze of boxes emphasizes that. Those are all the different 'expectations' that people can get stuck in and not be able to find their way out of.
@@ystrw Absolutely, the end is a chain of life’s scenarios/situations and choices we make.
I think RM wants to say that everything we face in this world, be it children, teenagers, families... everyone has made mistakes... that's normal, as long as we can make everything good again... sometimes we don't become ourselves. alone.. but when we are aware and become ourselves.. everything is fine again..
Exactly what I felt too🤌

RM is a MASTERPIECE OF GOD, A PHILOSOPHER WHO RAP
Loved Blaze’s analysis. RM also made me think about choosing to escape the expectations/boxes that we get trapped in by ourselves and others. I mean we all know the “rules” like red yellow green. But some things don’t or shouldn’t have rules, like outdated societal expectations. And what kind of guide was the woman? She had a rural feel to her. Humble. Real. Still thinking it through! 💜
Rm out did his self....LOVE his voice very strong ......seeing RM going through all these changes....makes me think about myself 👍🏼
I agree. She didn't just walk into the room where he was. She *ran* in, looking confused, just like RM ran into the rooms he saw.
I'm mind-blown. 🤯
I love your theory. The three colors are also referenced in his song "Closer".
@@ideagirl how was that like?
If you look at them it's like a stoplight. Red at the top and green at the bottom. There's also a square light next to the jamb that apparently shows what light is on also. Light was green when he opened the door.
@@cynthiaperez2232 I interpreted it as a stop light too. At the end when they're preparing to walk out the door, you can see that she is bathed in green light (symbolising going forward) but he's bathed in amber (slow down) but it changes to green as well, symbolising that he is now ready to go. Then they open the door.
Namjoon is a unique person: an artist, a poet, a philosopher, a beautiful intelligent warm human.
💜
the serene girl, FOR ME, is his freedom: calm, happy, confident and determined
and he "finds her" in himself
when he stops feeling inadequate and insufficient, whatever the context he was in, the self-confidence to pursue any possibility and experience in life is right outside the door
💜
I agree
This video is so dope the song is a masterpiece, but what else do expect from the President RM!!!! L💜
@11:21 Twitter Theory has Joonie getting in touch with his Anima, the part of his Happiness he'd forgotten in the Race through the Maze, where he'd been obsessed with "Right" and "Wrong" Choices.
For Me, The MV is evoking Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and David Bowie's MV for Thursday's Child- the fear of **Making The Wrong Choice**, only to find You're Exactly where you're meant to be 💜
Whoa 😳. Excellent 🤯🪖💜🏝️
Oh I like that!💜💙
I made a connection with the film Everything Everywhere All At Once. The MV, lyrics and the film touched me deeply in the same way. “You are exactly where you are meant to be”.
I saw the reels with RM mentioning the film. I’m eagerly waiting for his hidden messages and poetical and philosophical puzzles we are going to solve and interpret after 24 May
Can these BTS guys just give us a simple MV to follow, man oh man talk about complex thinking outside the box. Fri-ends .Wow BTS the best.
one word - trippy
another word - experimental
loved it! dope reaction!
I thought of
'The Midnight Library,'
which was a book that Yoongi was reading (and I think RM mentioned), in
'In the Soop 2'.
I really do recommend the book as it's a good read, for those of you who haven't read it yet.
I do like y'alls interpretation, too.
That's the thing when looking at art by a lyricist and philosopher.
So many takes you could go with.
BTS has introduced me to sooo many awsome books! This is another one I'll have to check out!💜
Yeeesss! Me too
@huntressmma1822 It's well worth the read.
And same here.
I got 2 of RM's recommended books recently:
* In Praise of Love - Alain Badiou
And
* The Agony of Eros - Byung-Chul Han,
So, I have to read those two, too, as RM recommended reading them at the same time or one after the other.
My personal take:
The music video illustrates so many of the feelings, thoughts and introspections that Namjoon has shared with us either during his Weverse lives, in his songs or written interviews. The song's lyrics depict loneliness even symptoms of depression whilst trying to convince oneself that they are "fine". There's a sense of longing- a yearning yet also maybe fear or uncertainty of fulfilling certain roles for others ie friend, husband/ father, partner, son etc
In the MV, it seems like RM is searching for someone - the mysterious lady who may either represent THE core persona of himself especially his truest self where he does not need to conform to whatever role that's placed upon him but just be himself and free to choose whoever he wants to be and whatever he wants to do.
This song is so good. RM singing and that music at end blends amazingly with thes scenario and his voice. MV is so meaningful and deep.
RM is so poetic, so deep. A deep thinker. Thoughts going back to when he was a child, but possible having adult thoughts. The turmoil that happens, sometimes in relationships. And in the end forgiveness, back to the center. I always love his words. And may I add, drop dead gorgeous. He is fine.
Yesssss 🙌 Joon looks too gewwwd 😮💨
That's a beautiful interpretation 💜🫰🏾
Thank you guys for your words and your unconditional love for BTS.
RM total genius leader composer and singer #RETURN TO ME pure art let's continue fully with the STREAM imminent rise let's not leave please.
I love you guys💜💙💛
RM is a complete, great, genius and a wonderful true artist!!!
thank you guys for this videooo 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This is one of my favourite solo songs from a member.
Yess Blaze, the thrilling perilous mind of Rm is mind blowing. Masterpiece once again 👏 Butterflies handsome humble gentlemen so extremely talented
안녕하세요 항상 BTS를 사랑하고 응원해 주셔서 감사합니다 RM 앨범 수록곡들 대박 나길 바라며 RM 'Come back to me' 남준이는 음률의 철학자이네요 BTS💜forever
RM = A R T
period.
I saw it too and it makes so much sense....i was like🤯🤯
Yesss
my heart is full!
I am glad I am not the only one who needs to churn my brain to understand the MV and the lyric. RM knows what he is doing.
Namjooning is putting our brain to work🥰🥰🥰🥰 its a brain test😎😎
This makes me think about the 2022 Festa dinner where he was explaining how he was feeling. Going through the motions, feeling lost, as a person and an artist. He’s finding himself.
Yes RM did sing, "COME BACK TO ME" at Suga's concert 💜
I LOVE THE MV.
Its an indie song...joon loves to go deep dive into music. He is open mind about it.
RM, the President, the Genius! Another great song💜
He's a genius!!! What a masterpiece!! Love Namjoons brain!!
I think he is talking about happiness and peace that he had lost, asking it to come back to him. And of course the lady probably represents Army too. 🥰👑💎💙💜♾️🌌
Rm. 최고의 리더. 편안한 리듬속의 깊이있는 메세지 👍
Yes, he sang this at Suga's concert. I also find the more I watch the video. The more I change my mind behind the meaniing.
He is great for the talent my pleasure to know him personally
Are we really ready for BTS? They are so in mesh to wreck us emotionally? I have never felt more alive by their artistry. I can put an astronaut, a right indigo in the right spot, on a rainy stumping seven days a week, coz he standing next to Jack wanted more, like crazy, f* your ops, and snooze because life is a haegeum. Hajima, even a muted shi-bal won't measure up with this mind-blowing experience to be contemporaries with BTS. And you know Jin is coming!
Fri(end) it is a vivid image of me being hit and run by beauty and meaningfulness
A lot to think about!! Masterpiece ❤
Loving it
omg that ddaeng tumblr !!! my friend Maggie, the owner of K-Pop Gateway in VB made that !!!!! so cool !!!!! 😍😍😍😍
Another masterpiece from our President. Joon makes you think so deeply. This was so deep.
Rm!!*# 👍 굿. ✌️✌️👍👍👍👍👍😸🥀🍀🎖✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️🏵🎋🛐🎊❤️🔥
I love this because it is so deep so real so reaching out to touch not just my ears, heart but also my mind. RM is a master of the word
I LOVE RM's artistic sense. He makes us THINK, to find the MEANING. His art encourages discussion. I love this!
I so love this and the meaning behind it, so like RM to be deep 💜 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Just seeing all your smiles makes me smile myself.
I think it's an enigma of the things that happen in his head, as if it were some parallel world from which he moves, and that somehow brings a "false" lightness to their turbulent lives. I think there's a lot to come, I'm looking forward to it. ❤
Ddaeng Nico what's in that cup😁? I really like this song and mv. RM is such a good writer, the beats so smooth.
Editing to say this is my assumption on the meaning of the video, I could be 1000% wrong lol
That lady is ARMY.
Loe you guys, borahae, countdown to 2025
I’ve read a lot of analysis, but you brought up some different and interesting points!
I immediately thought of "More" when I saw that drab hallway with all the doors.
I love how RM's mind works! This video is trippy, but real. We all live in different "boxes", depending on what's happening at the time, and how we are feeling or coping. Love you guys!
Really soulful in so many ways!
I love how his music makes ur think more and there are so many different theories from everyone saying the similar things. I am so excited for rpwp
Todo lo que hace RM lo veo, analizo, digiero, disfruto, por mucho tiempo para entenderlo bien. Su música se mete de a poco en mí y se queda 🥰
Namjoon has a beautiful mind, and I love that he is willing to let us inside through his music. 💜
Was I the only one killing Untitled since Suga’s concert? The funky vibe of this song and the beauty of this production … so proud of our Joonie 💜!
I love this song from day 1! Artistic mvideo. He doesn't want to follow what society expects from him....
RM, The sweater, this entire track, and that tickx5 towards the end sims to JK SNTY… ❤ My babies!
Love this song💜💜
Also when I first saw this my mind immediately went to the whole multiverse theory ...he's also mentioned this a lot especially referencing Dr.
I so appreciate your discussion and thoughts. I’ve been digesting this for 2 days now. Love Joon! 💜
This is what we got when someome is having The artistic brain 🧠 you will know that this is RM thing very RM thing
You guys are the best. The 3 of you truly help me understand RM's lyrics.
How can other people say that BTS copy their music.?? They don't even have the brain to function to! This MV is an example of creation of RM (BTS) with content that was intricate and hundred of miles away from their styles of singing. So proud of RM! Great mind with great vision!
RM is a genius, I love him😊💖💜💖💜💖💜💖
all i can say is namjoon's work always makes me speechless after. everything he did make me question the world and u know even my existence hahahaha bc idk he gave beautiful definition on things that if we look at it, it aint like that. if u know what i mean haha. everything he did is art just like his personality, he's an art. the choice of his words, damn. i am always impress. he's a real genius! thats our president y'all!!!!!!!
I love how Blaze interprets this. I love how he understands and gives his thoughts and perspective to it. RM is very poetic person and I love it. 🙇♀🙇♀✨✨
That girl who encouraged him to open the door and was finding him everywhere is ARMY y'all she's wearing purple THIS MAN 💜✨
It's not
I totally agree with what you've said.
The delulu again. RM will eventually find his soulmate in real life. Armies are business. His personal life is his personal life.
@@AA4PJM true
Sorry if this seems a bit extreme, but I really wished people stopped acting like 7 grown adults make every single one of their songs about ARMY. Their music is much better when they talk about the stuff that is personal to them, like every lauded artist does. When they talk about societal norms, governmental corruption, education stress, artistic desire, identity crisis, diss tracks. I'm sick of hearing the 1000th song about ARMY.
Maybe he will end up saying this song is about ARMY, maybe he won't. I see this is a frown man, finally, finally, allowed to express his identity fully without millions of hungry 13 year-olds on his back waiting for him to write another song about them.
the song is so deep and meaningful , namjoon has made a masterpiece once again ! :)
RM 💖
Mi Precioso y Talentoso Líder 🎖️ Estamos tan Orgullos@s de nuestro Guapo 😘 💜NAMJOONIE💜 Gracias chicos por tanto Amor y Apoyo. FIGHTING 👊
Nothing better than watching a new BTS member video… unless it’s with you guys💜 Love you all 🎉
