Thanks for reacting to this, I absolutely LOVE this album. I also got some vibes remeniscent of Herbie Hancock (Nuts), as well as Coltrane, Bird, Miles Davis and Andre 3000 (Domodachi and ?). Based on your commentary I watched Tyler the Creator Earfquake for the first time and I see what you mean also lol thank you for the recommendation! Also love Niko's intepretative dance at the end 😆Love you guys 💜
I was thinking each person was different personalities of RM inside his brain because they all had name RM on their shirt, and he is trying to find himself
I think so too. The guy who never stopped smiling, and who poured a whole water cooler into his mouth, is enthusiasm. Then you've got the opposite emotion in the woman whose expression never changes - she's cynicism. Meanwhile, the other woman who's full of swagger is confidence, and the other guy is fear. RM is saying he carries these emotions wherever he goes.
Yeah one of the female actors in the video apparently posted and said that she /her character was representing one side of Namjoon. I'm not 100% which word it was she used but i think it was confidence. And all their nametags say RM! I agree with another comment on here that the "😄😁" guy was his enthusiasm, or something of the sort. Maybe his golden retriever energy (that water jug when the 4 else were holding water glasses! 😂) or his whimsy, joy, happiness.
@@miak4006yes her name is audrey! she said she was joon’s overconfident persona. and then the guy with the straight short hair (hee shin) is namjoon’s anxious persona!
Have you watched a RM live? His brain is like this. A lot of ideas flooding through his mouth. The wordplay. He talks like this when he is excited. I just rewatch a video of him explaining how he came with the Spring day lyrics. He was so excited. It's hard to keep up with his train of thought. And this is the way he writes. And this is him. No filter.
He has a genius’s brain with a million things going through it at a time. I truly love this album after having listened to it a few times, truly a masterpiece. I can see his artistic style and love of artwork spreading throughout this album, pure genius. Watching, ‘Minimoni” helped me to understand what he was thinking in creating this album.
Lost reminds me of an old 90's tv show called Herman's Head, which showcased a man's inner thoughts and emotions using people. Or like the Disney movie Inside Out! Physical manifestations of the different aspects of a person. Namjoon really does speak from a place all of us have either been through or going through right now. RM is on some other other level with this song, MV, and the entire album!! The album even feels like different personalities and emotions represented in each song. Absolute masterpiece!!
honestly this mv is like....... the most joon thing we've ever seen? it's philosophical and artsy and has a bit of an absurd sense of humour and it all just feels very namjoon as a whole :>
And it takes a bit of work to unpack, because 'inside Namjoon's brain' is a complicated place. I often think of him being up at satellite level, and the rest of us being down around the airplane-helicopter level... intellectually.
When you read his lyrics across the songs he says clearly how he isnt any label people stick on him..."president"..."diplomat".. etc...the only thing he represents is him.... I find this so telling Army to grow up and grow out of this fandom mentality ...he for one is going to be him and not what others label him...he is done!!!. He loves Army but we got to appreciate him for him...not some persona the fans insist he is....and maybe thats why his physical look and expression is so different in this album too. Its more true to him...very much less makeup...no hair to style...his expression is almost poker faced... Its so refreshing to hear this ....and i think this will translate into how bts comes back later.......
Yes... but as Jimin told him... the members and a lot of us ARMYs would be more than understanding of him if he let's us know he's struggling. And he was starting to do that just before enlisting. At first he would say he was "fine"... but as we said we were stressed or had other problems... he would then share his as well. The real ARMYs want the best for him and all the guys. These that are the problem are usually more of what the Korean media and others refer to as netizens. The Korean media tends to call them fans and generalize us. More I think of them as "fanish"... but not really ARMY... They are more into drama and tend to believe whatever the media reports which is often rubbish.
Exactly right. I thought this too. And most 'fans' don't listen. The guys grew up. They're no boys anymore but people keep trying to visualize and tag them as cute boys and just, this is not them anymore. They've been saying this for a couple of years and people don't listen. You gotta grow out of that mentality as well, and see them as human beings that have emotions, anger, sadness, problems of their own, frustrations, identity crisis. They don't know who they are because they got famous very young and so they had to act a certain way people expected them to be as idols. So I admire Namjoon for his bravery to do this. To take time out of being BTS and find himself and also I think is awesome that he doesn't care bout who likes him or not or what he does. Some people are going to like his music, some are not and that's ok, you don't have to but we must keep being respectful to all of them and who they choose to be and how to live their lives haappily
I honestly don't look at the whole group as a K-pop group. They're very unique. People throw them in that category because originally that's where they were but they've outgrown that by far
I m gonna be honest here, when i first watched lost i was confused yet curious as what it implies then i listened to the whole album and as i progressed through the songs i became overwhelmed with the emotions. It's like the reality was finally hitting me that someone who i look up to the most and the someone who is the reason of my postivity is himself going through so much and is in a very dark place. I watched mini moni today and boy, did i felt pain, i was hit with truck load of emotions for rm. I felt gratitude, honour, respect, pride and much more for this man. In the end, the respect for him grew ten fold. He is really an amazing human being and brave enough to share this with us. We love u rm, thank u for trusting us to share ur deepest emotions with us.
Personally I was confused about the guy drinking from the huge water bottle.... until I was editing it as a clip. You see all the other RMs are drinking from regular cups and just staring at the one guzzling and over doing it. The in his video with Jimin he talked about how he only has two settings... on and off... and that when he was "on" as BTS leader he was just so intense. The guy guzzling the water is like that. He's practically drowning but still trying to drink it all.
This album is so esoteric. Only RM can produce something this amazing. This album goes into the all time greatest list with Layover, Mono and now Right place, Wrong Person. This album is worthy of a Grammy win. It’s so experimental, Love it!
I love that this has the vibe of pharell (more specifically N.E.R.D's Sooner or Later bridge/hook part) and andre 3000 and has the namjoon stamp of quality on it..pure genius..reminds me of the interview he had with pharell a few years back on song writing
What else can we expect from our genius? I personally feel he has tried to portray his confusion throughout his journey and also it's a kind of homage to all who have helped him directly indirectly to reach the pinnacle!
18:25 Personally I think those line (“dump it on the ground, pick it up/throw it in the trunk) could be taken as when your going through the troubles of life, we kind of just have to take it in and carry that moment/event throughout life. Then you can either continue the cycle of “picking it up and throwing it in the trunk” or finally opening up the trunk and processing what you’re going through. Which, and this might be a stretch, is what we could be seeing RM doing in the end of the video. He might be opening up the trunk to finally process whatever he’s packed away.
Can be just he's writing lyrics, not as good as he thought then dump it on the ground then throw it in the trunk. Keep doing that until he gets what's work for his songs.
RM is a creative genius. Fascinating masterpiece. I feel like we are getting the real Namjoon, layers are being pealed back and he is on his path, his way. Just so proud of him being true to himself.
Right?! Nico definitely gave me a lightbulb moment with that comment, I hadnt thought about that! The mv is kind of chaotic but still cohesive. Now with a few watches and some help from others it's starting to make more sense!
My theory is that he's showing a what if. I remember he said that somewhere in some universe, he might be just an office worker. So that's like identity search again. The lost ideology is because he still hasn't found himself. Those other people wearing suits like him appear to be his his other personas inside himself, helping him find his way, and in the end, he still ends up performing.
He is amazing. Love the beat and the deepness of the lyrics. The way my thoughts run in the background randomly even though I am in the forefront doing what I gotta do is illustrated here. Ppl see me doing one thing while my mind is running in different locations and one part of it is being showcased. Amazing!
Yes, Blaze! I agree. You keep getting rid of your baggage (dumping it in the ground) but then you end up digging it back up and putting it “back in the trunk.”
Could it make reference to the temptation of drinking too much. Partying at the club too much. But feeling free but then lifeless with the hangover. RM has a note with his album thanking people for getting him through the 18mths before going to military. Sounds like it was very hard time. The worst. Maybe lost a love too. EXIT signs everywhere
Paulo Coelho has a book of fiction based on his real life experience in an asylum, and this reminds me of a part of that. Where a character points out that ppl call them crazy (being in the asylum), but everyday, they tie a noose round their neck and go to a place they don't like. Talking about getting dressed for work in a suit and tie and drudging along. They were honest enough to point out the world as they see it. I feel like this is RM's honest perspective. Even he and Jimin spoke to it. I'm loving it
This is RM´s brain, this is what he is actually, it may be a bit confused for us mortals, but Namjoon is this lots of things happening and going on inside his brain, when he´s creating lyrics and new ideas, the excitement, the genious. This is also a new level of artistic and musicality. RM is not a KPop artist anymore, and his level has reached the most greatest artists in the Industry, even above the rest of the BTS members. Trying to find himself for years must have been a very hard task, rhe fact that he has struggled while being the most important part of BTS success is just amazing to me, and he is still looking.
Love the intro 😂 I think with all the members solos it prepared us to expect the unexpected but I am loving this album from RM I haven't broken it down yet too busy just vibing 🤣
“Dump it on the ground Pick it up, throw it in the trunk” I was thinking along the lines of baggage or the pressures put on us, by society, ourselves, or others. We try to get rid of it but out of habit pick them back up.
Actually getting lost is not always means negative, RM gave us a choice, a nudge, temptation to think, to act out of the plan, decide to do something different that we desire to do, and the result will give us another choice, either we want to get back to the track or continue get lost. Thank you, Joon, you shared your thinking and your experience, your experiment to us. You made simple word into deep meaning. Thanks guys for your thinking too
I love it, i felt like the whole office thing was him saying how its repetitive and mundane, you through these repetitive cycles but the music is what breaks it up, makes it fun. ❤ he showing off his beautiful lyricism, he gave us something we didn't know we needed. 😅 love the crackhead energy 🤪. L💜
"dump it on the ground, pick it up, throw it in the trunk"... could it reference his endless living out of suitcases during BTS days of touring and personal travels?
ALWAYS LOVE YOUR REACTIONS❤❤ RM IS DEFINITELY the most talented rapper, composer, songwriter, producer and human being ,every song he does has a different story and different emotions!!
I feel like we say that a lot but he really is a genius 🤦🏻♀️ everytime he comes and gives us something new and deep like i need him to talk about all of the lines in this album 😫 or what he was feeling while writing them... He's so interesting. Also i can't see a lot of artists like him. He's such a forward person and shows his art the way it is. That is so rare and valuable. He was so right when he said his music is not for everybody 🤌🏻
For me the "dump it on the ground" part was less about the words and more about the repetition. And I feel like it was a reflection of the previous line where time flew from 14 to 30, just doing the same thing over and over again. So he felt LOST.
I love watching with yall!!! I totally got the OutKast vibes too. I love the way his expression looks so much like he did in the “come back to me” video. I can’t wait for all the videos to be out and watch them all together.
I feel like I'm looking at a piece of art while listening to poetry simultaneously ❤ ❤the sexy brain of Mr. Kim Namjoon. His album is truly what he wanted to do for a long time. Phenomenal. ❤ Jimin's reaction and support 💜
thanks for the reaction..come to watch your video after finished watching MiniMoniMusic, and I totally understand that Namjoon is being honest with his struggles and feeling💜 always support him…
So much to unpack here. We do all share experiences with BTS and Other ARMYs. It was so scary after Festa as we faced an empty road. Now we know it isn’t an empty road, even though the dump it out pick it up throw it in the trunk phase is over, our pace and reflection has changed gears. Love it so much.
The MV is spectacular! I think is a mix of good old MVs and new generation! Filmed in Romania at Buftea studios, Romanian Army are over the moon, and hoping that they will visit us soon x
The opening scene in the MV made me think of Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart, which probably set me up perfectly for the sound that hit my ears 😂😂😂
Namjoon, What in the combination of Wes Anderson + Jordan Peele MV is this? .. It's brilliant, confusing! Pushing boundaries as always. Might not be everyones cup of coffee but cant deny the genius that he is. Support RPWP!
I think about the wordplay in English it feels really experimental and introspective. Very RM like. Seriously RPWP is an amazing project all in collective effort and everything
The trunk stuff you all talked about as well as how it's used in 'Groin'. In the music industry you always need to be coming up with something new yet you always have to carry your old stuff around with you. Love you all.
THE INTRO!!! 😂😂😂 Thanks! You guys do intros the best and your dancing is awesome! I still remember a hilarious intro you did after I think AJJ cut his hair, still remember it to this day but can’t find it because I’m not sure what video it was 😅
Joonie is so creative and there’s always something or multiple somethings going on in his mind and this mv is perfect is showcasing his complex and creative mind.
on twitter the discussion is mainly that he‘s been through a bad breakup and he keeps mentioning to jimin or interviewers that he went through some personal stuff and you‘ll see with the other songs how freaking honest he‘s being on the album and it really does seem like he had some kind of relationship go bad while also struggling with all the sh*t that went on with BTS (military, the country trying to use them, fans going too far, etc.)
I'm so glad to see that out of all the react videos in my feed yours has the most views by doubles and triples. Real fans right here, no fake love up in this house. You all just genuinely and good heartedly say what you think and feel, instead of telling other people what they should think, feel and do. I love you guys. Borahae!
They have each defined music on their own terms… lov it.. Young K-pop boys are long gone.. Sad but necessary. I love who they have become, think 2025? I’m not sure I can take it! 🥰😍🥰🤩
I think as BTS was starting out, they had very little time for themselves, for fun. RM was chosen as the leader of the group because, I think, he was the one who showed leadership skills. He was the one that was doing a great deal of the writing. They practiced day and night without breaks, just eating, sleeping a little, period. No time for anything else. As a teenager first, then a young man in the midst of becoming a world sensation must, at times, have been very confusing for him, especially as an adolescent. He carried a lot of weight. I'm sure temptations was there, with fans coming at him at every turn, especially at the clubs. When he was old enough to go in. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. RM is a perfectionist. He is a deep thinker and he seems like a kind person. I always like how he expresses himself in music, etc. As he says "Speak Yourself". He did that with this song.
I think the four people traveling with him through the MV are four emotions: confidence, fear, enthusiasm, and cynicism. For instance, the guy who's pouring a whole water cooler into his mouth is enthusiasm (He also shoots himself in the face with a fire extinguisher in another scene), and the woman whose expression never changes is cynicism (Notice how, during the rock, paper scissors scene, she's the only one who throws scissors - everyone else throws rock - so she loses, and she's used to losing). The other guys is fear, and the other woman is confidence.
Have a look at the new mini moni video it explains so much what Namjoon was thinking and how he felt during that year before enlistment … it’s a real eye opener
The no captions in the beginning I think was intentional. I think it was supposed to make us feel like how it's like in someone else's shoes who doesn't speak that language or is multilingual. Like how it is to be in other places and not able to understand the person speaking to you. For example, BTS when they were getting big and were traveling around being interviewed, especially in the US, being interviewed by people in English and that's not your first language not being able to understand them and the pressure it was for RM as a leader to be the only one speaking in English and being the translator. The MV and song are nuts. I love it! If you have seen the show Severance it gives me that kind of vibe. But this is in Namjoon's brain. All those people are like his personalities, his thoughts and emotions. Different parts of himself. But he's struggling inside and it's like the one who comes out who has to climb and leave all his other "hims" behind is the version he has to show to the world. He leaves parts of himself inside and only shows us one side of himself cus he felt like that's what he had to do at that time. That's why he feels lost or he did feel lost.
This is the best BTS reaction channel for ARMY by far. Genuine fans, genuine love for the boys and you keep ARMY connected with great humour. Blaze, you sre so good at symbolism and finding a deeper meaning. Always love to hear watchagot2say.

Thanks guys for your thinking too
Our President, indeed! Period!!!
The intro is 🔥🔥🔥🔥💜💜💜love u guys , am fan from East Africa.🇺🇬.
Rm is a genius, such a great artist 🔥🔥💜💜.
He is incredible. Think his brain is so filled up. Wow
Artistic Impression 💜✌️💜🫶💜🤟💜✌️💜🤟💜🫶💜RM💜
Love it love RM love what yougotasay💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
He's an original genius, wants us to use our brains to figure it out 💜
Solid call on the Andre 3000 comment, I was thinking the same thing!
He wrote about what he was feeling last year. I love how instropective he is, what an artist 🎉
"dump it on the ground, pick it up, throw it in the trunk"... could it reference his endless living out of suitcases during BTS days of touring and personal travels?
The song is a masterpiece
ALWAYS LOVE YOUR REACTIONS❤❤
RM IS DEFINITELY the most talented rapper, composer, songwriter, producer and human being ,every song he does has a different story and different emotions!!
, 🙄i dont understand the whole thing of this sobg
RPWP is a MASTERPIECE!! I KNOW YOU'LL ENJOY EVERY SONG!! GROIN ESPECIALLY!!
Can you please help me understand groin? I just don’t understand it
Kim Namjoon es un genio en el arte de la música expresa lo que muchos quisieran decir lo amo 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
RM is unique and a great story teller
I feel like the video was partially an homage to the movie, Being John Malkovich. If you've never seen it, you should.
I thought so too! It's nice to see I'm not the only one who went down that path.
You are bubbly and call things by their name, dotting the i! Thank you for RM! You are great! 💜
a true genius
Dance line NEEDS to see this INTRO🎉😊🎉😊. My favorite A.R.M.Y uncles are at it again 😊😊😊😊
Namjoon is so Genius King
Love thissss
I feel like we say that a lot but he really is a genius 🤦🏻♀️ everytime he comes and gives us something new and deep like i need him to talk about all of the lines in this album 😫 or what he was feeling while writing them... He's so interesting. Also i can't see a lot of artists like him. He's such a forward person and shows his art the way it is. That is so rare and valuable. He was so right when he said his music is not for everybody 🤌🏻
RM we love you!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
For me the "dump it on the ground" part was less about the words and more about the repetition. And I feel like it was a reflection of the previous line where time flew from 14 to 30, just doing the same thing over and over again. So he felt LOST.
Rm💜💜💜
I love watching with yall!!! I totally got the OutKast vibes too. I love the way his expression looks so much like he did in the “come back to me” video. I can’t wait for all the videos to be out and watch them all together.
I can’t wait to see your deep dive into the album!
It will be on Patreon
I feel like I'm looking at a piece of art while listening to poetry simultaneously ❤ ❤the sexy brain of Mr. Kim Namjoon. His album is truly what he wanted to do for a long time. Phenomenal. ❤ Jimin's reaction and support 💜
Hola saludos army chilena ..RM mi lider es tan genial ..

Masterpiece like usual 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
"Life is a soup and im the fork" he didn't lie and also thats y he tells us to read 😅and coz we r "lost"hes a genius
Watch the conversation with RM and Jimin ....RM explains a lot about the album...Hi guys👋👋
loved the reaction bros^^
Hello 👋
You guys serving those Bangtan hot rolls in the beginning 😌👌🔥
L💜
So much to unpack here. We do all share experiences with BTS and Other ARMYs. It was so scary after Festa as we faced an empty road. Now we know it isn’t an empty road, even though the dump it out pick it up throw it in the trunk phase is over, our pace and reflection has changed gears. Love it so much.
The MV is spectacular! I think is a mix of good old MVs and new generation! Filmed in Romania at Buftea studios, Romanian Army are over the moon, and hoping that they will visit us soon x
4 more mv's to come!
The opening scene in the MV made me think of Black Eyed Peas - Don't Phunk With My Heart, which probably set me up perfectly for the sound that hit my ears 😂😂😂
Oh true! Just no dating show 😂
@@miak4006 I now need RM to do one with a dating show, pretty please 😂😂😂
THANK YOU FOR THE REACTION~ I ENJOYED IT~
That part in his brain reminded me of that Kdrama Stranger from Hell so cool
Namjoon, What in the combination of
Wes Anderson + Jordan Peele MV is this?
Such a great single and genius album! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the other songs!
Puro arte nuestro Nam ❤🇨🇱
on twitter the discussion is mainly that he‘s been through a bad breakup and he keeps mentioning to jimin or interviewers that he went through some personal stuff and you‘ll see with the other songs how freaking honest he‘s being on the album and it really does seem like he had some kind of relationship go bad while also struggling with all the sh*t that went on with BTS (military, the country trying to use them, fans going too far, etc.)
I'm so glad to see that out of all the react videos in my feed yours has the most views by doubles and triples. Real fans right here, no fake love up in this house. You all just genuinely and good heartedly say what you think and feel, instead of telling other people what they should think, feel and do. I love you guys. Borahae!
Thank you FAM. That really means a lot to us 😊💜
Love you guys. And this reaction. And this song. And RM.
Love you right back FAM L💜
Loved your reaction ✨💜
They have each defined music on their own terms… lov it.. Young K-pop boys are long gone.. Sad but necessary. I love who they have become, think 2025? I’m not sure I can take it! 🥰😍🥰🤩
Намджун ❤❤❤
The whole video conveys the feeling of being lost, of being the wrong person in the right place. I just loved it!
" if you got friends check out BTS videos with them" that's exactly why i watch your videos fam
We all help each other keep going. It’s our Yeti To Come
The intro just made my morning!
I'm here, I made it 🫡😎💜 Come On!!!!
Have a look at the new mini moni video it explains so much what Namjoon was thinking and how he felt during that year before enlistment … it’s a real eye opener
Hahahahaaaaaa!!!!!!! I love the intro dancing bodyrolls.. I remember joonie bodyrolls on love mazee .. i need to rewatch his bodyrolls haha
