I hope that George will come back to that chicken leg because it haunts me to this day. Maybe that‘s what war does. It robs even food of its properties beyond sheer sustenance. Fuck war, it ain‘t good.
This will probably never be read by anyone but I have to say that the way Schwift reads some of the passages makes me legitimately emotional. Beyond the hilarity his more thoughtful moments really do carry weight. Some of George's writing habits are beautifully silly but he has a way of taking me into his world that's rivaled by few. I'm very thankful to experience his work in this abriged way as no one I know personally has any interest in ASoIaF - and no one does the abridging better than a Schwift.
