This is the history of G.I. Joe A Real American hero during its vintage run - the year 1986. These action figures took the industry of old toys by storm in its heyday.
Witness the third year of this action figure franchise with characters such as General Hawk, Roadblock, Beach Head, as well as more Dreadnoks and Serpentor the Cobra Emperor! Sgt. Slaughter appears is here both as a mailaway offer and also with his Triple T.
We get a 5 pack of Special Mission Brazil with Claymore and four other Joe favorites. We've got lots of great vehicles like the Tomahaw, Night Raven and Conquest X-30. Some great Sears Exclusive Dreadnok Assault sets ( Air/ Ground ) and most importantly - the COBRA TERROR DROME with FIREBAT! All that and some great army builders like the original Vipers and Battle Android Troopers / B.A.T.S.

This was so fun to do! Thanks for including me, Ken!
Thx Kelly. You knocked it outta the park! What a blast!
You did great!
Great video Ken,Kelly and Brian! Happy cobra convergence! Cobraaaaa!
Happy Cobra convergence month Nate!
These videos were great all! Thanks for the effort!
Stellar episode Ken, Hoodie, and Kelly!!! This was probably my favorite year for Joe, I mean how could it not with Vipers, Zarana 😍, and Sarge!!! 😘👍
Yup. It's the earliest one I remember seeing in stores and even finding some '86 figures as late as '88 on pegs.
Truly a great lineup. Most of my fav versions of characters come from this year
Didn't know Beachhead had lineage to other lines, that's awesome
And it always bothered me that Lowlight was a "marksmen" and not a sniper ha.
This wave showed both sides of GI Joes camp with military realism, especially the vehicles and Cobra figures (cough cough Mindbender)
Great episode Ken
Thx man. Yeah I always have been fascinated by the connection to other lines, Beach Head in this case. Definitely a great year 😎
Awesome video guys!! Yo Joe!!!
Yo Joe!
A great year for Joe! Always wanted Thrasher & The Thunder Machine.
Oh yeah. My thunder machine still needs its antenna.
another crazy good video and seeing these 3 hosts together again gives me flash backs of saturday night of joefest, or was it friday night? idk i was drunk LOL!
It was Saturday! Either that or I was talking to another 6'6 dude who collects GI Joe stuff... I can't remember... but by process of elimination I can only think of one dude who fits the bill...
@@ToyKennections was he a handsome devil? then that was me 😁
Great job guys!
Thx Woodman!!
HCC788 here!
Very cool!
Yup!
I've been saying for years 1986 is the best year for vintage GI Joe
It is pretty darn stellar.
i just picked up a complete Terrordrome last weekend!! havent had one in years. its now the centerpiece of my cobra collection!!
It's truly a great centerpiece!
Fantastic video Ken. 1986 was a fantastic year I really enjoyed this video! Thank you.
Thanks Mike. 1986 was indeed one of the best and we'll need to get together again as well
I'm not proud of it but I can admit that one of the few things as a child that I stole were garbage Pail kids and the Androids or bats. I think I had a total of four maybe five, two were paid for.
The G.I.Joe team had 2 Army Rangers, 2 Navy SEALs, and 2 Marines up through their prime years. They did not get their first Green Beret until after the franchise had passed its prime. They never had any Marine Force Recon or Delta Force (to my knowledge).
Hello everybody very good work my friends
GI Joe 1986 is my favorite year for the figures I would look at the little folder to my favorite years who you can pick up and my brother's had most of these
Let's remember that the Cobra Vipers were actually lower in rank than the Cobra Soldiers themselves.
Just remembered - Cobra Commander was originally a mail-in figure.
great stuff Ken love the stun was my first vehicle always preferred the cobra vehicles haha 🤘
Cobra as a faction has aged well. Army builders galore!!
absolutely 🤘
Zaranna always has me distracted ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had the LCV Recon Sled. It was even better than a normal motorcycle.
Excellent video. I hope that you'll eventually get to every year.
1986 is my favorite and I think every kid in the U.S. knew who Sgt. Slaughter was in1986 and 1987.
Thanks! Check out the 1987 video from a couple weeks back as well.
Terror Drome needs to be the next Haslab!!!
Ohhhh. That would turn some heads!
Cool🎉
Continuing to impress a year at a time...
Such a dominant toy line. Thx K-Dawg!
The best year was 1985, sorry to disappoint you all!
Well, no harm in that. '85 was epic!
Another great year for G.I Joe!
Yo frigging Joe!
