Being a successful youtuber is like being a successful DJ, if you put on a record that nobody likes everybody on the dance floor is gonna leave, if you put up a video that nobody likes, everybody is going to leave. The algorithm watches this during the first couple of minutes, it then stops promoting your video if people are leaving. Get a friend to critique your video before posting. Ask people for feedback.
The worst part for small channels like mine is having to wake up every morning realising there's no difference in sub count or views😢 thanks for the advice!
I'd also like to blame TH-cam on one of the reasons I may leave a video early. Sometimes I'll catch myself watching a video, it's pretty interesting but not totally into it and then a commercial comes in and breaks the whole mood. Sometimes, I'll just leave the video and start watching something else when if that commercial didn't come in, I may have watched the entire thing. YT broke my concentration and investment into what I was watching.
It's (as far as I know) the creator that decides when an add plays, so the person you were watching decided to break your immersion (there are like settings for adds in youtube studio)
@@Flexible_Chaos Not always, TH-cam can also decide where to put a commercial break as well. It's not always up to the creator. The creator can choose if they want to place an ad or not but TH-cam can still put one in.
Thank you VidIQ. reaching 25K Subscribers soon. The thing I love about this channel is that you people are also learning with us. I reached 1890 subs recently and the channel is steadily growing, personally I don't care about gaining subs I just wanna make unique videos that get viewers attention, if it's not 100% unique it should be different enough to not get ignored but most importantly it should be good enough that I wanna watch it multiple times if it's not fun to me it probably won't be for the audience So my advice is find a niche you love and try to make a unique video idea no has made or don't have many videos and try to give it a thumbnail that you would want to click
We are as short creator's we are giving our 100 percent to youtube for making shorts for TH-cam and what they are doing with them decreasing the RPM of shorts youtube policies should be reformed as early as possible
Dude same here. I’ve been working my ass to create original animated content… is going really slow and it takes so long to create 1 video from scratch.
I started my TH-cam journey in May 2023, and after creating many vlogs, I got monetised yesterday Sep 2024, I am definitely over the moon now! Cant wait to hit the next milestone!
So I'm a small youtuber who creates instrumental music all the time, but because I don't speak in my videos or show my face in them, (it's just album work and the instrumental), how can I grow to get my music to more people? assuming that all I have is youtube and not something like spotify or facebook
Everyone always focuses on the title and thumbnail... But nailing that hook is just as, if not more important. I'm going to be honest; it took me far too long to realise this. I wouldn't really have any type of hook at all in my videos for a long time. I would just start by saying here's the watch that I'm reviewing 🤦♂It's a wonder that I got any views at all earlier on. But thankfully people got past that and then learned to trust my opinion and I managed to build that relationship with my small and loyal audience. Who then followed me, as I learnt and improved in all aspects of making videos, and properly packaging them to be more appealing to a wider audience, as well as those loyal OGs. As I always say, my channel would be nothing without them.

So true, clickbaits destroys a channel, many creators still doing it, but somehow TH-cam's algorithm will find out and stop recommending those clickbaits. I don't understand why so many channels still doing it.
Doesn't help when every youtuber is using their "Hey look over there" and "OMG" faces/actions in their thumbnails and the consistent red circles and arrows.
@Dr.Groove-AI Exactly. It's very annoying when they are just trying to trick you to watch their videos for views, but it is very damaging to their channel's reputation.
@@AudioStoryWick What is more annoying is those channels who use their faces in their thumbnails but it's always the same two or three images but just reused for each video.
Marathon training is also not always linear.. you are affected by sleep, diet, social circles affecting your schedule / training plans.. you will have easy runs and super difficult runs. But you learn from each run and you do it in a way that works for you and eventually you will be able to run the marathon. But even then, the marathon (success) will look different for every individual. Keep grinding, have fun and learn in the process. Good luck everyone!
