I am monetized for over a year now. However, I did take a 7 month break between getting monetized and my next video... for reference, I have made $220.00 total out of the ad revenue. Keep in mind out of my 260,000 views on my channel, only a little bit of that is after I got monetized. I believe I got penalized for not posting by the algorithm. I am now posting daily or at least once every few days. I think it is very important to keep working at it. Could you do a video like this on a small niche channel? (not gaming, celebrity, trending topics). I'm sure it's a me problem but I always feel like these videos don't apply to channels like mine (CAD tutorials, craft tutorials) as I don't do clickbaity or trendy topics :) that would be awesome
We are building communities with our channels. Even if your audience is small, treat them with care. Those who follow you from the beginning are the foundation of your community. Take care and keep pressing on creators!
I started my channel 3 days ago and I am into this 90 days challenge! Obviously monetization is a part but my main aim is to provide essential knowledge first😀. I hope I can make a difference. All the best to all the creators. Currently I have 2 videos and I am thinking to publish at-least 2-3 videos/week with a primary aim to provide value to my audience! Hope they will learn something new every time 😁
I made my channel last year but started actively posting around three months ago but I am just on 322 subscribers but not giving up. To everyone who's trying their best to monetize, keep going and don't give up!
Im at 377 subscribers. I feel like i genuinly put out good quality content, but I can't get my content out so people can acknowledge it. Nevertheless, we are here for the long run. Good luck my fellow TH-camrs, we will make it.
Your content looks very nice! Crazy enough, what has helped me get my videos get clicked on and seen so I can find my audience are my titles. Making a bold statement or asking a question with searchable keywords has been a very successful strategy for me. I highly recommend it.
Chasing the money will set you up for failure. You will have to find out what you like to do, get good at it and use your hobby to make money on youtube. Make it interesting and be consistent. If you chase the money, you will burn out and absolutely HATE making videos on YT.
I have 3 channels, all monitized with this formula, it works. its simple. Remember, there is no such thing as easy money, it takes time and pure dedication to make this work.
@@AJRestoration Thank I needed to see this comment but can I ask you question ? I got monetize rejection for reuse content and I think it because uploading anime clip in TH-cam shorts but is that a problem ? I see big channel do the same😗
I've been eligible to be monetized for 6 months so I have over 4,000 watch hours and over 1,000 subscribers, but I keep on getting rejected.😅 So I have yet to be monetized. Great video VidIQ you helped me be eligible for monetization even if TH-cam keeps on rejecting me!!!😆
I want to switch niches and was wondering if I should use the channel I already have over 2k subs on, or start from scratch? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Really depends, is the content extremely different? Then yes, but if it's a slight pivot then you're probably fine But if you do start from scratch a tip that helped me grow for 0-4k subs in 2 months in my other channel (gaming) was to create 5 videos first then upload them about 1-2 days apart, put em all as endscreens of each other that way if you are found out, people have more than just one video to watch
@@PaufinTV ya but the thing is to take from adjacent niches tho. Since there are so many great creators then the ideas for great content is even more, no?
@@PaufinTV No doubt, and I think it depends a lot on the IP as well. Like one of my channels is Pokemon based and it does well because it's the largest IP on the planet lol
Currently sitting at 30 subscribers, refreshing the analytics EVERY SECONDS after posting a new video Anyone else guilty of celebrating every single new subscriber like it's a party? We'll hit 100 soon...if we keep refreshing enough, right?!
I’ve been trying to grow my channel for almost a year now. I can’t seem to gain that much momentum and my videos and thumbnails are getting really good. What do I do?
Minecraft is pretty saturated but essentially you have to do what no one else is going in that space- your thumbnails are fine, but sometimes they don't tie into the title, other times the print is too small. Id be interested to see your ideation process
I’ve got 92 subscribers and getting subscribers is hard but increasing your watch time is harder but we don’t give up this side one day we will make it we just have to keep on grinding.
0:06 - The statistic I want to know.. How much money do they pay out to their creators collective per annum? Even per day would be interesting! Any guesses?
2:08 Do I sense a bit of jealousy there? 🤣 Say what you want, but that man has figured out how to copy paste in real life! Also a good example of quantity doesn't mean quality! And yes, Popeyes is the shiznit!
To anyone reading this, don't give up! you can do this, I spent a long while figuring out a niche that I genuinely enjoyed and it's been showing!! we'll get monetized one day, we'll get there, I believe in you!!! Edit: this is also one of the most engaging videos on this channel, once I got the information, I kept watching for the funny parts😅
The upload schedual part is most definitely an important thing but it can come down to your personal situation and what you are really prepared to potentially lose in return for your commitment to YT. I have spoken to and know of even more creators who have had relationships and marriages break ups due to putting in so much time to YT and neglecting the other things in their lives. You have to try and maintain a balance. I myself had my marriage of 13 years break up due to my wife thinking I was spending too much time doing YT, which I still feel I wasn't. We separated, sold our house and sold our furniture, etc. After continuing to talk with her we got back together after 9 months, bought another house and have now been married over 17 years and have a 1 year old boy. And I'm still doing YT but seeing almost zero growth and views due in part to only uploading once every 3 or 4 weeks. But I love being creative and trying to improve as a film maker, so I have no plans to quit YT as it's what I enjoy doing. Currently at 7,820 subs after 5 1/2 years.
Great video and advice Rob as always! I hear what you are saying, it's only after the ups and downs and being humbled over and over for the past 18 months and finally with all of my hard work with over 7000 hours of everything TH-cam that this advice makes sense. Let me explain a little, this journey is hard and comes with a big learning curve. This advice is really good, but I didn't hear it the same when I was brand new. It's the pain and the struggles of getting better that really helped me, I tried this method for a few videos with not too much success. I finally tapped into some success and I mean success to have videos with 1000 or even millions of views just to let me know that people are enjoying what I'm putting out. When I figured out why I was on YT through these struggles and my original goal and passion was to help fellow NEW diyer's and be that big brother everything finally clicked! Do I have everything figured out OH NEVER and I still make BAD videos, but tons of people think otherwise, so I'm rolling with it until the wheels catch on fire and we crash and burn! Thanks again Rob!
the first tip "choosing viral format" means don't do what you love, follow trends which will get many giving up!! for instance if someone wants to talk about academic research or radiology, people deem it boring! I think one should just do what they love, in any format and, your people will find you..
There's some truth to this, but the two things aren't always mutually exclusive. The platform as a whole is built to service the viewer, so if it's not something anyone would watch it won't do well. I bet there's an academic research channel that does fine - education channels as a whole struggle less with trends. Ex: niche = radiology Topic idea, what would Sam Suleks x-ray look like? Now Ive combined trend with passion. Obv there are better examples but it's possible because it happens
if your using gemini to come up with title and description ideas remember to pu the following in the prompt " make sure it avoids youtubes zero view glitch" this prompt alone will give you a fighting chance of at least a decent or above average view counts for your channel, it does something i cant quite put my finger on in the gneerated outputs
I have been following all your tips. It has been less than 2 months since I launched my channel, and i have just hit 50 videos and already reached 4,000 subscribers! Plus, I've gathered over 30,000 views... THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤

I second this! I have an embroidery channel and although what he's saying makes sense, I think it would be hard to apply to my channel 🤔
You are doing great i just subed fellow content creator!

Thank you for the tips😊 so far at 56 subscribers 😊

I just can't skip these videos, I'm addicted 😂😂
Hello family.
Hope they will learn something new every time 😁
So cool
I made my channel last year but started actively posting around three months ago but I am just on 322 subscribers but not giving up. To everyone who's trying their best to monetize, keep going and don't give up!
@@happycorn3r 😊
Im at 377 subscribers. I feel like i genuinly put out good quality content, but I can't get my content out so people can acknowledge it. Nevertheless, we are here for the long run. Good luck my fellow TH-camrs, we will make it.
Checked your channel now, I really enjoy your content bro! Dont lose hope!!
@@WhackedBoyGaming Thank you bro!
Your content looks very nice! Crazy enough, what has helped me get my videos get clicked on and seen so I can find my audience are my titles. Making a bold statement or asking a question with searchable keywords has been a very successful strategy for me. I highly recommend it.
@@mysocalledgenxlife thank you. I will try that indeed!
Close to 19k subscribers, thanks to this channel !
Let’s go!! Trying is half the battle!!

Thank I needed to see this comment but can I ask you question ?
Start from scratch youtube algorithm might think you're a spammer and shadow bann you
Really depends, is the content extremely different? Then yes, but if it's a slight pivot then you're probably fine
But if you do start from scratch a tip that helped me grow for 0-4k subs in 2 months in my other channel (gaming) was to create 5 videos first then upload them about 1-2 days apart, put em all as endscreens of each other that way if you are found out, people have more than just one video to watch
@@ATH-camGrowthChannel, great advice. will def follow it
@@ATH-camGrowthChannel what does endscreens mean?
@@Free2Me it's the 'element' feature in studio when you go to publish a video that lets you put another video for the viewer to click on

finding a niche viral format is hard af though.
How so?
@@ATH-camGrowthChannel because almost every niche has a huge youtuber with a professional viral format team that you will barely stand a chance.
@@PaufinTV ya but the thing is to take from adjacent niches tho. Since there are so many great creators then the ideas for great content is even more, no?
@@ATH-camGrowthChannel maybe but its hard to push through it, but it can be done like Dream and Beluga.
@@PaufinTV No doubt, and I think it depends a lot on the IP as well. Like one of my channels is Pokemon based and it does well because it's the largest IP on the planet lol
Thank for my Subscribers. And keep going and make videos. 👍 🙏
AAAHHHH no I want to make it I think I have slightly worked out where I am going wrong with the keywords
@@ATH-camGrowthChannel Yeah that could for sure work sometime if you want.
I’m at 1,082 and I’ve been doing TH-cam for over 4 years! Still not monetized because it’s hard for me to get watch hours
We love your content hear in heaven,Angel Gabriel is not around 😇
Keep on keeping on! Thank you for the tips and great content!
I am also trying...all the best to everyone 👍😊
Great Bro, What A Vibe Note Great job. 👍
250 subscribers to 3k ❤❤❤
I'm in 41 subs currently. It's not easy, but we will get there by baby steps
Thank you for the info🙏🙏🙏 currently at 3900 watching hours, I won’t give up
I sincerely wish all our new channels to reach 1000 subscribers soon 🙏
All I’m saying is that I can’t wait for the hype feature because growth has been extremely slow lately
Surprised that no other creators have managed to set up a similar channel/business to TH-cam. We need competition in this market.

Say what you want, but that man has figured out how to copy paste in real life! Also a good example of quantity doesn't mean quality! And yes, Popeyes is the shiznit!
Really Helpful, I hope to get to 500 subs soon!
I am almost 3 yrs over 950 videos and shorts, but I'm not giving up. Thank you.
Hahahaha I started my video with pineapple doesn't belong on pizza today, too 😅😅😅😅😅
Great video and advice Rob as always!
Watch hours were easy, and subs were a little harder
Currently on the journey to monetization, wish me luck!
I like this Piantapedia guy, he could go far
Telling myself not to give up
Lets do it gz don't loose hope
the first tip "choosing viral format" means don't do what you love, follow trends which will get many giving up!! for instance if someone wants to talk about academic research or radiology, people deem it boring!
Ex: niche = radiology
Topic idea, what would Sam Suleks x-ray look like? Now Ive combined trend with passion.
Obv there are better examples but it's possible because it happens
You're gotten yourself a new subscriber am your 25th subscriber, please keep it up you are doing great we are in it together.
They really need to lower the 10million view requirement for shorts, also
Hello from Australia fellow creators!
Thanks for the tips! I'll try to implement it in my asmr videos somehow.
Thanks for your every day tips ❤🙏🌟
if your using gemini to come up with title and description ideas remember to pu the following in the prompt " make sure it avoids youtubes zero view glitch" this prompt alone will give you a fighting chance of at least a decent or above average view counts for your channel, it does something i cant quite put my finger on in the gneerated outputs
I like to see a video of what to do if you get denied by the YTPP
