Such an interesting thing to me, as someone who watched critical role when it first started coming out, to say something like "The voice of Pike in Vox Machina." For me it was always Ashley Johnson IS Pike. There is no "voice of" for me. It's an odd feeling that simultaneously brings me a lot of pride to see a beloved part of my life for the past few years get mainstream recognition as well as a sense of "I liked it before it was cool" energy.
Phenomenal episode once again. Seeing the Bloater in live-action was glorious. Ironically, it doing the jaw rip game over death on the original voice of Tommy was poetry. Melanie Lynskey was pretty ruthless in her short time on the show. She made every second of her appearance count. But.... Henry and Sam. What more can I say about them (other than me liking the change to have Sam be deaf in the show)? Beautiful bond, beautiful dynamic with Joel & Ellie and a tragic end to their tale. Damn, do I love this show.

They lived a full life together and they thrived during the outbreak, do much better than so many others. Bill never experienced a the hardships everyone else in the world went through. He was so good at what he did, that his life a person living inside a bubble--the game was nothing like this, at all. While Bill and Frank's end was sad, it wasn't exactly tragic. It was sort of beautiful actually, they clocked out on their own time. While everyone in this series is doing what the title of this episode is named, ENDURE and SURVIVE. Bill and Frank thrived! They never lost their humanity. Joel did, and little by little he's getting it back through his journey with Ellie. He's had help along the way, though. Tess set him on the course to redemption, and Bill's final words reminded him that enduring and surviving isn't living. Reading Bill's letter and see what they left behind surely made Joel think about what could have been, had he opened up his heart sooner. This series has made every person and every death weigh on Joel and Ellie, and little by little they're making a change from the people they were into the people they need to be. Kathleen, Michael, Bryan, Dr. Edelstein and Parry weren't in the game...well, they could have been, but we wouldn't have know it since the game didn't take the time to tell us about the Hunters chasing them down. Their inclusion in this story adds to the game, IMO, since it gave a face and a name to the people hunting them in the city. Rather than making them out to be just people out for blood, they gave them a reason to want them dead, and it's a reason we can all understand--we don't have to agree with it, but we get it. Anyway, most of the named characters we've met have done what they did in the game, save for Bill, as he was a live when we left his very infested town.
I saw the scenes from the video game and the series side-by-side it could have put more emotion into it when he killed his brother like the video game version
I want to know why they made the brother mute like what if the older brother got captured in the little brother didn't have something to communicate they don't know sign language would have been better if they would have kept that that he talks instead
I don’t think Ellie felt there was a good chance it would work, she just wanted to comfort him in that time he had left. I’m sure she hoped the blood would at least slow it down, or even stop it completely, but she remained sad after she did it because she knew poor buddy was finna turn anyways.
Very emotional and sad episode to watch! Kathleen is so ruthless and evil that she is more concerned with killing human beings and children! However she is not concerned with killing the Zombie hord that is beneath their feet! I knew it was not going to end well but to see what happens to Sam and Henry really hurt and got to me!! Inspiring, loving, sadness, maddening, and heartbreaking best describes this episode for me!
