Riyadh Park | What Shopping Malls Are Like in Saudi Arabia

  • Especially now that it is summer in Riyadh, we are spending more time than ever in shopping malls! In this video, I'll show you around Riyadh's newest mall, Riyadh Park and I'll also talk a little bit about some differences between malls in Saudi Arabia and malls in North America. Also, you will get to see the kids' absolute favourite part about the malls here in Saudi!

    I agree Malls are much better here than the US & Canada but there are certain things that are inconvenient like shutting down stores during prayer times (which I believe the ban will be lifted soon) -no fitting rooms for women. Despite all of that you guys are welcome in our city I hope you enjoy :)

    You should visit KAFD there’s an area there called Area 303! There’s a lot of relaxing and modern cafes and restaurants and all of them outdoors and music playing all around the area!! And the weather now is great u better try it I’m pretty sure you’re going to have much fun there!

    There is a huge debate among Saudi people about the shops being closed for prayers, and the the government already working on a new 24 hours business license, which means literally 24 hours! 👍

    Do you have to cover yourself up to shop? Can you go alone to the shops and is it true that some malls have floors only for women?

      Beverley Tavio yes I wear an abaya whenever I’m out in public. And a woman can go shopping alone for sure. And there is one mall here in Riyadh that I know definitely has a women-only floor though I haven’t gone to that floor myself.

      Malls for everyone but some shops only for families they do That because they want to attract women to work because some family & women they dont like work in mixed environment

      yoda101 Her children will be raised by both of them the parents. So no matter what the country they are living in, if the parenting is not fine or the values they teach their children, then the that might be where the problem starts. And also for sure they go to international schools in ksa.
