Agreed. I saw the first reunion at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, and Lydon's phrasing left out the raw anger of the original delivery. It just got worse/more arch over time.
The songs still thrill me,but I have to look away and sing along to them myself so I won`t have to see or hear this charmless charisma-free goon Carter singing them.
Paul Cook and Topper Headon are some of the best drummers I've ever heard. The energy and feeling of the two bands is defined by the drummers' ability to keep the tempo going, to often that is overlooked
I'm not Jewish like you but live near a large Jewish neighbourhood and they just keep out of everyone's way and cause no trouble. No obnoxious behaviour in the street, no gangs of Jewish teens hassling non-Jews. I wish other neighbourhoods were like this.
My brother had to smuggle a 12" import of anarchy into the house as my christian based father had seen the cearphilly protest and wouldn't allow it. Even at the age of seven my whole world changed overnight. Jonsey is cool as f@#k. Thank you pistols for changing my life.
So amazing to hear this. Wa crying almost all through the show. I could tell by the musicians physical reactions that it wasn't just to put on a show but that they were actually greatly enjoying it. You can never get the true sound of any band without the original players- makes the world of difference.
@@DavidEdwards-e6m Nope - he really isn't. There certainly would have been no pistols without him though. And this isn't an attempt to recreate that - hence the billing.

Great film..thanks for sharing. This is about the best we could ever expect the band to sound, the singer compliments them very well. I'm interested that they're allowed to use the SP name..I wonder if the former singer could also form a band with the same name. Any thoughts?
Cooky at 70 still nailing it is a wonderful thing to behold.

Put those fucking phones down !
They`re SO infuriating, and the results will be so crap they will never even look at it more than once either.
