Hi, I had recently bought an OTG, Morphy Richards 52 lit, two months ago, pls let me know on which mode cakes are to be baked! I am very much confused as many bakers are advising differently, like to bake with lower on and a few are suggesting to bake with both rods and fan on!! Which one is correct mode of baking to get a fluffy sponges, pls help
Hello from Australia! I recently bought a convection microwave. Even though I have a built in oven, the convection microwave has some other features that were worth the extra cost for me. Only 4 months later, my built in oven electronic ignition has stopped working which means reaching in with an open flame to light the gas, plus it’s getting even more temperamental with maintaining the temperature I’ve set. I’m moving soon so don’t want to replace it, so I’m thinking I’ll start using the convection oven instead for baking. But... I baked scones in it just for fun when I first got it and they took 2 minutes longer than the wall oven. Doesn’t sound like much, but the recipe said 14 minutes and they took 16 which is quite a difference on such a short bake, so I’m wondering if I need to cook everything a little longer in the convection microwave. Is there a standard rule to adjust cooking times or do I just need to bake a few things that get a lot of holes in the centre? If you have a video explaining what I’m asking I would definitely appreciate a link to it.
Hey. Nice to meet you here. We have met for the creator day. I ended up in this video while searching for the difference between an air fryer and a oven. It will be a help if you could tell me if an air fryer won't takes away the juicyness and tastd of the food. Thanks in advance 😊
Educated people talk like that ; those who are modified by their religious freedom they express their thought even better than male counterpart. in Saudiarabia , desspite a wealthy nation , women talk very clumsily than London or USA because of their closed enivornment they grow up. Even in USA , arab women talk significantly different than American white , not only in accent but funny diction. they manufacture words that are never found in dictionary. Saudi students never qualify for UC BERKELY OR STANFORD though they get scholarship of $10,000/ month.
I have been using 32L Samsung covection microwave oven for almost 11 years now and it still runs! As I am building a kitchen from scratch next on I wanted to find out apart from Bosch and Siemens what other builtin 65 to 70 Lit fan forced oven do u recommend that will last long and worth investing a fortune. my max budget is 60K
(I am a 13 year old boy) I use a Samsung Convection microwave in my home here in Dubai. Only problem I ever faced while baking was the square and rectangular pans which fit in my oven, but do not let the turn table move. Also, I would like to know whether we have to reduce the temperate in a convection oven while baking? I will eventually get an electric oven or a gas oven. I love watching your videos too :) .
+Vikram Venugopal Thanks a lot! :) Right using larger tins is a problem in convection microwaves. I haven't felt the need to reduce the temperature. So, try doing both ways, do whatever works best for you!
maam..planning to buy an morphy richards otg of abv 50ltrs..plz make a detailed vdo of how to use an otg..its features, funtions, temp settings, n using different modes for baking, roasting, grilling etc..
Thanks a lot. This was really helpful. I already have a simple microwave (without convection) and a halogen oven (which is good for nothing) and wanted some device for some great baking and grilling purposes. I would have bought a convection microwave oven but after watching your video I think what I am really looking for is an OTG. I have plenty of space in my kitchen and OTG will replace the halogen oven. Is Morphy Richards a good brand for OTG ? Are there better brands ?
Yes Biswajit, pre-heating is a must. Please watch my videos on pre-heating and using a convection microwave. How to Use a Convection Microwave bit.ly/1OhLttP How to Use a convection microwave (in Hindi) - bit.ly/2omxYiE How to Preheat a Convection Microwave bit.ly/1jstpQJ

Hi.. I found ur videos very easy to understand, informative... Can u plz tell me, for my otg, wt kind of vessels to use.. I don't really use it much as I don't know which vessels to be used... I normally don't bake a cake
Bharan, I think a bigger OTG should be good if you want to bake commercially. It will be difficult to bake small batches in the microwave. Good luck for your business!
Thanks for the information maam. Please help me, I already have a solo microwave. I want to buy another oven for specially the purpose of baking, roasting and grill. Kindly suggest me the right option, OTG or convection microwave?
More than baking, I'm interested in roasting. What should I chose? I already a micro-grill that is not very useful for me as far as roasting is concerned, even its useless for grilling. What do you recommend for roasting?
want to buy a cooking range as i luv to bake and also planning to buy a new cook top.so please suggest me if i should or should not go for a cooking range and get a cook top and otg differently.
Hello, I use a LG convection micro for baking but it always takes much more time than specified in recopies. I have been using it for more than 9 years but I am never satisfied with the baking. Cakes turn out well but I have to set a higher temperature and timing than specified. Baking cookies has become a nightmare and I have stopped attempting. Now I intend to buy an OTG but you please suggest if I go for a convection OTG like borosil or plain OTG.
Suchandra that would be difficult I can imagine. My LG has always worked well for me. Depending on your budget and requirement you can go in for Sunflame, Morphy Richards or Bajaj. But OTGs also need some getting used to as the temperature is often a problem.
Sorry late reply Amruth. Haven't tried this, you can try placing the tins on 2 racks with enough space between the tins and enough space between the tin and wall of the oven for good air circulation. If it works and the cakes bake properly, then good. Please do let me know if you try

Priyanka, you can check Morphy Richards or Croma or Bajaj. Heating time will be at least 10-15 minutes or more depending on the oven and the temperature you require.
Happy to help Naveen! :) The size of the cake you can bake depends on the capacity of your OTG . Am so sorry I have no idea about the weight of baked cakes.
