Always just in awe of your gameplay. I have about 1000 hours put into Nioh 1 and 2 and I'm nowhere NEAR this level of skill XD
I have nearly 300 hours in both games and I can't wrap my head around how he transitions his combos so fluidly. There's always this delay before a new block attack which sometimes get interrupted by enemies with no stagger resist.
Same lol. 700 hours in Nioh 2 and I have no clue about that build. His gameplay is so fluid!

Nice job man. 6k hours in Nioh 1 and pretty skilled but nowhere near as smooth as you 😂 I have about 300 hours in nioh 2 as well but stopped cuz I wanted a sale on the dlc after beating Ng plus. I guess I will dive into that soon...
What skill/reason is there for using the heavy attack on blocks? Like why does it seem you press both buttons on every block?
Look into Opportunist. It's a Fists Skill that uses those inputs.

May I know your build and stats? I also want to have a ki recovery like that. When I parry enemy attacks with Opportunist, i also lost a lot of ki
I already have 7 grace of shinatsuhiko and 6 oyamatsumi. I have 150 courage, stamina, strength and dexterity
Your opportunist doesn't consume a lot of ki while mine do
Temper "Opportunist Bonus (Ki Recovery)" or something like that. It makes a MASSIVE difference in terms of Ki Recovery.
I have 99 in all stats. Build is based on reducing Ki consumption mainly.

I still don't understand what's the purpose of Opportunist aside from it made you looking cool. I think trying to i-frame dodge is safer than risking it with this parry, while it true that Opportunist allow you to follow up with counter but the damage wasn't crazy or anything.
One big thing is that it doesn't use as much ki as either tanking the hit with a block, or dodging the hit with a dash, as well as being able to block several burst attacks that would otherwise wind you if you attempted to block them normally.
@@Aderon It's also instant, unlike some of the other 'equivalent' options on other weapons like odachi. This ignoring that the block/counter options on many weapons straight up don't work vs yokai to begin with, and that almost all of them immediately move into an attack, where opportunist lets you CHOOSE. It can also be used on projectiles, iirc, which is a level of style points that just can't be denied.
Opportunist helps you to stay close to enemies...which can be difficult at times.
Less dante more like vergil cause he got gautlets like Berewolf and last one we can call it kind of judgement cut

It's a DMC reference Royal Guard is basically a perfectly timed parry by certain characters that nullifies all damage. I don't think Vergil actually has it...
