    Wow! Thank you so much Brian. My son and I were struggling so much with a new tire and pinched a tube. So we started over after watching this video and it was so much easier.

    Still the best tire changing video I’ve seen. If I get out of practice and start pinching tubes I’ll slow down, follow the video, and I’m back on track

    This is the best video I've seen with respect to changing dirtbike tires. Follow Brian's instructions and it is an easy and straight forward job. Definately need the stand though.

      I just use a 5 gallon bucket, fits the discs and sprocket so it doesn’t fall over while working on it

    Excellent Instructions... I just de-mounted a rear, it was TIGHT to get off. Hope the new install goes easier. Thanks for the help. I made my own stand out of an old automobile rim.

    Great video, just rewatched after not changing a tire in years. Just the tips to put some air in the tube and put the valve stem in first are a huge help. The tire, (yes it was a FRONT) went on just like the video... I'm sure the back will be harder but at least I have a method... Going to check amazon for "Tire paste" ;-)

      Did the tire paste help with your tire install? I use soapy water and was wondering if paste was better.

    Great video and tips. You set the rim lock in the bead before you started spooning the tires on but you didn't mention it. If you don't do this first, the bead will catch the rim lock and you won't be able to get the tire on. I also see you changed a front tire. Rear tires are three times harder.

    Watching a video like this without actually having changed a tire before make it look easy. It will fill you with false confidence. Then when you've actually done it before, and watch a video like this, it makes you say, "What the heck. What is wrong with me." Even with all the tips and bits of advice, it's still a SOB.

      Or the 12 inch rear tire on a 110 pit bike but I heard the 10 inch on the 50s are even worse. I did get to watch a Dunlop tire repair rep change the 12 inch rear and what seemed to make the difference was using baby powder on the tube (I think you can't get talc anymore so they make it with corn starch), the tire lube, and the bead buddy.. I just followed this video and successfully did the 17 inch front on a YZ85 but I have successfully done it once before. Yes the tire was tighter but starting to the right of the valve stem and putting the bead buddy in and going counter clockwise over the bead lock and ending at the valve worked well.

    this video is pretty much total crap. While the methods are right, the scenario with him and that tire is so out of wack its not even funny. No tire is that loosey goosey, his tire practically mounts itself onto the rim. Good luck having yours do the same.

    • @tredeuce
      @tredeuce 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Couldnt agree more. Have watched them change these tires in person and they themselves know they are easier than production tires. One reason they are used for 10-40 minutes is because of how soft they are. I have an unmarked spec rear tire from Dunlop and it is noticeably lighter than the MX32 straight off the shelf.
