Had a summer job in London, England as a chambermaid in 1984. When this song came on the radio (I had it on in every room I cleaned) I turned it up as loud as it would go and the other chambermaids on my floor and I would dance around and sing. It never came to Canada where I live, so I'm happy to find it again.
I just sent it to my godson because it was his brithday... and I'm wondering if I did not get him in that situation. I remember thsi song with a lot of affection because I was a teenager at the time. Just simply embedded in my mind like a lot of sound from the era.

I never knew this song was translated in English. 😮 The original is Dutch: Suzanne. Love this song and this band: VOF de kunst. They make briljant children's music also. They had a tour in The Netherlands a few years back. Every one named Susanne could get in for free. I literally hadn't heard this song ever since I was a child in the 80's, and as far back as my memory serves me, haven't thought about it MAYBE ever since then, but SURELY from the moment there's Internet, not just TH-cam! never, anywhere! And now... it's after midnight, I ha a sexual dream, woke up and THIS song was playing in my mind! So, I'm p[laying it for the very first time home!
