    Very nice flow and good transitions.

    Impressive as always Lucas! Its funny because my rig before covid was very live focused, specifically trying to put a lot of sound sources and really as much as i could fit in 6u, lots of tiny modules. But when i stopped playing live this past year i started to focus on my modular more like a studio instrument and watching some of your videos also inspired that as well because you get so much out of a couple voices with your system which it seems like the verbos modules help with that as well as your talented brain! But yes for me so far having as many voices as i can fit has worked for me, if not i would say a looper would help a lot to be able to play for longer. Both idea's are similar in the sense where you can have something going to the pa while taking down a sound and then changing say its tonality-sequence etc and then bringing it back in. Though watching this video i feel like you could easily play for an hour with this set up, i always found getting past that 20 minute mark is the toughest but by then you've loosened up and your ready to dive in deeper with more comfort. But you're stuff is so evolving and hypnotic you could easily just keep owning that. BTW how are you routing-sending to your pedals?

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks ! Yeah I feel like if you can consistently go further than the 20min mark then you should be fine for a full live set. I want to keep at it with the improvisational stuff and not use loopers etc... The verbos modules certainly help to improvise with the spacious layout and open endedness.

    Great work! Thank you for sharing. What's that sound at 16:46 ? The one like a riser? Is it a sample? I struggle creating risers, would appreciate the tip.

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot ! It's not a sample it's feedback from the Verbos Multi Delay. I use it a lot live for transitions, or just some sci-fi FX/risers. There's a demo about that one where I show it more in details.

    • @neonpop80
      @neonpop80 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LucasMarchal thank you so much! I don’t have a modular set up, but I have Analog 4, Minilogue, more Elektron and Roland synths. I can try to apply the same methods to them for the risers and effects if that’s possible. Will watch and thank you so much! Your jam session was very inspiring :)

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@neonpop80 I think on an Elektron machine you could easily p-lock the feedback of the reverb and delay and achieve a similar effect. I know it's easy to do with the crossfader on the OT for example.

      @@LucasMarchal I know I asked you already on AB group on facebook but I cant find the post, whats your modular setup and what do you think would be the best modules for entering the modular world.
      I really like Verbos complex oscilator and verboselectronics modules as far I have seen so far.

      @@LucasMarchal Sometimes it feels that way but usually the listener doesn't feel that way-doesn't notice. Its sorta like when a band member plays the wrong note, unless they or other members make a huge expression that something went wrong most people don't know. I'm curious if you'll end up using the headphone for cue or not, i bought a befaco output module to do this but i still haven't gotten into that process live (using headphones-previewing) but it could be a strong result

    • @LucasMarchal

      @paro80 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LucasMarchal thanks, i know AlphaBase is the source , i meant what is that outboard gear where you remove the low frequencies and then put them back during the live (tipically dj set style)

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paro80 oh got you, sorry. the whole mix is going through the Overstayer Modular Channel which has a stereo high pass filter. But like you said any DJ style filter would work. I eurorack there's the WMD Overseer which is great.

    from 19:47 after you mute the mutidelay feedback percussion, what's the main lead come from(which sounds from different bandpass filter each time when it appears)? is it also come from the foundation? I know you sequence the foundation with XAOC TIRANA and it made the low bass sound. what I am talking about, is it also come from foundation?(using step random, to open different amount of the amp filter of foundation)
