Lyna’s goodbye to the Exarch hits so hard. People think he was just her leader/commander but he was more like her grandfather. Apparently in the Japanese dub she even calls him grandpa.
I am not kidding when I say this. The reason Emma doesn't feel the emotional impact nor understand yours is that she can't hear the music. The music is the true soul of this game. The music is the emotional core, the heart.
The ending of 5.3 will forever be my favorite (followed by 5.0s) 17:20 bad thing is: if he has the Exarch memories and blood he knows how to and can control the crystal tower 22:45 I wonder why this dialogue wasn't voiced... 28:41 CT 42:22 if you are a Final Fantasy Veteran, then this revelation hit different, as the warrior of light is actually the hero of Final Fantasy I 52:02 such a great moment - you could already tell at the snipping fingers that it was Emet who saved you 1:05:50 love G'raha so much 1:09:58 😥 1:11:06 best boy 2:32:08 Lyna 2:44:46 2:47:00 best cutscene ever 2:51:11 😍
For me 5.3 and 5.0 is hard to compare. One is the best epilogue, the other is best climax. (Haven't started endwalker yet) In 5.0 it is easier to see which is the most satisfying moment. In 5.3 the satisfying moment wasn't as high, but everything concluded satisfyingly.
Alright at this point, none of these are spoilers. So to explain Seat of Sacrifice a bit further.. As has been mentioned before, yeah, Elidibus doesn't just turn into a warrior of light. He turns into *THE* Warrior of Light. The absolute first, from the first Final Fantasy. This is seen in the original art for the game, and he has an updated 3D model in Dissidia, which this model is based off of. And that whole Azem thing is your seat. Your soul is that of Azem, who was a close friend of Hades and Hythlodeus, and the soul which held the 14th seat on the Convocation of Fourteen. When Zodiark was summoned, the convocation put their memories into those soul crystals. EXCEPT for Azem, he was specifically left out because he didn't support the convocation in that. Emet-Selch later created that soul gem for him. Funny fact, if ANYONE fails that ATE in the middle of the fight, it's a wipe. First time they did that. Party finder had... problems, with it, week 1. It's not just Emet's thing, it was Emet that brought you back. You basically create a shade of him using the ancient magic stored in the crystal, to my understanding. It's a bit vague, there. It is strongly implied Elidibus was a child, or at least VERY young, when he was turned into Zodiark's heart. And as a final couple notes, yes, the music is ABSOLUTELY a colossal backbone to Feelsbringers. Soken put in amazing work here, even moreso when you realize he was in the hospital the entire time battling cancer. The song used for the expansion is Eternal Wind.. more accurately, a rendition of it. And "The rains have ceased, and we are blessed with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it." This is basically THE statement of Shadowbringers. It will get a reaction out of literally ANYONE who hasn't skipped. Hands down, the most powerful statement of the entire expansion, because that entire cutscene is basically a huge gut punch. The fact that your dude *sprints* to get him out of the tower directly after really hammers it home.
Jesus, watching those guys doing Seat of Sacrifice was so much laugh... and pain. Laugh and pain xD Don't know if it was purposely or not, but really, :P
Had Azem ever spoken with Elidibus or the other Ascians? All those years trying to bring them back, and I wonder if they ever considered their people didn't regret giving their lives so others could live.
I remember hating Fandaniel when was first introduced thinking "oh no, they going to go from awesome to stupid". My opinion had since changed after playing Endwalker.
Yeah seat of sacrifice ex is one of my favourite fights alongside like... emerald weapon (mainly because the song is a bop lmao). Looking forward to watching that shitshow 😂
Does Preach know that the player character is Azem at this point? Previously he seemed to think that it was Hydaelyn or the original WoL, which is not technically wrong I guess but I think it's important to be clear especially for some parts in Endwalker.
At first I thought they wiped on purpose so Preach could watch the intermission cutscene again since he kind of missed what was really going on... but no, no they didn't 🤣🤣
I always expect a wipe there. Got it in roulette this week and we wiped 3 times there haha. One tank was new and too scared to LB3 it in case they got the timing wrong, and the other tank couldn't get the timing right. We only scraped by when one person happened to barely live and we got the checkpoint after the LB4 =P
He copied his memorys and all to get them transported to the source but the original, the crystal exarch is dead, right? Even if there is now someone who shares his momories...
I not 100% sure but yeah the crystal exarch is dead or rather crystallized forever and the other Graha only has his memories. Since the one from the source can never go to the first with the original exarch still frozen there in the crystal tower.
yes, he also has his soul, if you try to talk to him after you finish the quest with him, he talks about his recovery and the soul within in, how it's the same density as WOLs and he's not sure if it's from the 8 rejoinings or the return to past. (I personaly think it's from rejoinings, cause it makes more sense considering elidibus said the same)
i always felt like they seem to completely gloss over that theyre just inserting hundreds of years of memories of a different version of graha into this new completely individual graha from the present past. at what point does that turn into ego death every character in the setting just seems to take for granted that any graha is as good as any other and so injecting a completely different graha into our graha is somehow the completely obvious and acceptable course of action when everybody else is just inserting their own soul back into their comatose body
@@mr.e3123 I agree, I'm not upset about their decision but it did feel kinda off to me personally. I feel like it would be more impactful for exarch to fully die, leaving his blood to us so we can wake up our graha, and we can tell him everything exarch did, and he would honor exarch by adventuring with us. And I absolutely loved exarch, and his character, so their decision seems too selfish for the kind of person he was.
Lyna’s goodbye to the Exarch hits so hard. People think he was just her leader/commander but he was more like her grandfather. Apparently in the Japanese dub she even calls him grandpa.
I kinda wanted her to say it in english too instead of 'my lord'. They are practically family.
Preach in 3.4 "Ohhh god, it's the Warriors of Dorkness again..." Preach in 5.3, near tears "... Hey there, brother..."
2:07:50 Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. Mike thought he was recovered PepeLaugh

It’s still crazy to know that Soken wrote the theme for S.O.S well battling cancer.

52:02 such a great moment - you could already tell at the snipping fingers that it was Emet who saved you

That Elidubus part.. his VA put so much emotion into 5 or 6 sentences and I can never not get teary eyed when I hear it.
I'm so thankful to you guys for uploading your playthrough in FFXIV on this channel. Your reactions, analysis, and opinions on the game are amazing!
We don't deserve graha
Also... how does the elidubus scene ALWAYS makes me cry? That VA..

Azem summons her friends to help with a fight... one is a naked catboy and the other is a jacked maid.
Azem always has the "odd" Friends

1:05:51 I was so hype for this moment when i played it
The track that plays during the WoL trial was written by Soken while he was getting cancer treatment.
i relate to how red preach gets in the face
I swear, Emma does Ryne's voice perfectly
Y'shtola's interdimensional booty call. Hahaha

Just a note, I don't believe this is listed under the FFXIV playlist you have set up.
RIDDDDING HOOOOOOME!
1:51:48 - Ross....
He totally misses the 'snap' scene /facpalm. Lyna is the only character in ShB that made me cry. . .every time. . .every bloody time =(
you can be as hard as you want, but if you played the msq fully till the seto scene...
"Shitty trash weeb game."
lolololol
way to lead tanks!
Good grief have those tanks never done that trial before?

After every, Lyse is still higher than Exarch…. That’s travesty, plain and simple.
