I’m right there with you man. I caught this show at its premier as it was being hyped by all the streetwear blogs at the time with the cudi cameo. No idea I was gonna be enthralled in a 2 season journey that’d leave an impression even a decade later. Recently decided to binge it for the 4th time since I first watched it in 2011 and it really feels wild being in my late 20’s now watching this and relating to Ben and cam as much I do. I always wonder if there are other fan antics like me when it comes to this show so seeing video essays like these really make me happy. Thanks man

I’m from Paris, France. I remember seeing the show for the first time and being immediately into it. It was talking to me. I was still a teen and I was completely lost when it came to my future and what I wanted to do…The show inspired me so much. I’m now self employed and I know this show is one of the reasons why . It just gave me that hustle mentality
I'm 35 now but I as well started watching this show when I was 21. Ànd I was a bit depressed at the time due to financial situations. Not being to make enough money for bills while also being stuck in credit card debt. The job I was working at wouldn't allow me to work extra hours because of the quote on quote "business is slow because of the economy".
I'm so sorry that you were in that situation, and I'm sorry you have to associate the show with that memory. I hope that things have gotten better since and you're able to look back at it seeing how far you've come!
This was a great video. Awesome job. I loved this show. I was 19 going on 20 when it first came out and I was already terrified of working a regular job the rest of my life. I could relate to all these characters on so many levels. Such a shame that HBO cancelled this masterpiece. I mean, here we are almost 11 years after it’s last episode and it’s still talked about frequently.
i think the fact that 11 years later there are people still relating to it really shows how timeless the show can be despite being so decidedly in its era. glad it could mean so much to so many and im glad it can bond people the way it can 🙏
Everything you did in your 20s is exactly what I wish I would've done in my 20s, I'm almost 30 now, idk if it's because I'm in Ohio but it seems like the only thing people do around here is drugs, work and go to Walmart smh, helping someone setup at an art gallery is literally wet dream for someone like me lmao
Yeah, I think that a lot of it is living somewhere that allows for it and knowing people in those environments. Though I'm sure there are others in your community that may have the same desires, and I hope you find some of them! Before working in the restaurant I was a Walmart employee for a while and some of the best people I know are people I met there. Sometimes we find things in unexpected places
