Been to a crystal mine in Arkansas. It's not hard to find the quartz at all. We were there for 3 or 4 hours and left with several nice pieces.

I am curious about that 10 millions dollar nugget shown being held by one man as if he isn't straining at all. If that rock is solid gold he would not be able to hold it up because if it was gold it would weigh close to five hundred pounds. Can anyone correct me on this?

That giant nugget was a replica they used on the show when Parker visited Australia. It was a replica of the largest nugget found in Australia. I think the video makers wanted to just show Parker with a big nugget.

He is holding a replica of that nugget and if it was real he would not be holding it that easily as it's trimmed weight was 72 Kilograms. My grandfather, father and all my uncles worked in the mines in Missouri. Barrite, lead and iron. When they went down into the underground they called the thing that lowered them down "the bucket" I would have been terrified. But my uncle found a lot of geodes down there that the mines were not interested in cause they were just "crystals". Me, I use to scourer the creeks and the areas where the tailings got dumped and find the "shiny rocks"
The picture of Parker with that gold nugget-was it a nugget, or quartz gold with the quartz removed with acid? Gold is so heavy, he would not be able to hold it up like that if it were fairly solid.
Parker is holding a copy of the Welcome Stranger Nugget described at the time as 'being the size of a small boy' it was found in Moliagul, Victoria, Australia.
Smaller nuggets found with the Welcome Stranger were given away free to friends as souvenirs.
