I think it's possible he thought that blonde haired baby wasn't his and let her die under his control. He reminds me of someone who gets off on total control. It wouldn't take more than two separate where did the blonde hair come from fir that's nut to obsess over it although it being 100% possible.
They remind me of the couple who left their baby boy in the swing in a dark stuffy room to die over a two week period… no food water or diaper change. Dad didn’t think he was his… mom was too busy taking care of their older daughter…
