There are several components to poker secrets online. One place I discovered which successfully combines these is the card crusher fixer (google it if you're interested) it's the most incredible resource that I've seen. Check out the interesting information .
Thanks for talking quite quickly, I almost slept in while watching other tutorials. This one is pleasingly quick but still clear and easily understandable if you listen carefully. Nice one!
That’s it, that’s poker. Wow I thought it was some complicated thing. I mean the hardest part is probably memorizing the card hands. Then again who knows it might be harder when actually playing.
@@patriciooliva541 if a person is good at lying and the person/people your up against are bad at lying then its easy. But at that point you've probably already gone to the casino😂
Many people have described other videos as the best they've ever watched on this subject. But this is the video that truly explained everything to me clearly.
Good Video, but I noticed a few minor points I feel the need to critique. a) Wouldn't the weakest card combination technically be high card (no pair)? b) Just before 4:00, the narrator states that every player has to combine their two hole cards with the community cards. You don't have to use both hole cards, and can even use only the community cards. c) Technically, two pair (as shown), the pairs have to be of different rank. Two pairs of the same rank would be four of a kind.
This is the best video ever how to play poker. Now I’m about to go download the game and play. Gave this video a thumbs up. Agree with everybody else the other videos were so much extra and complicated
After the flop, the first player to act is the closest "ON THE LEFT" of the button(dealer), most videos or website says the "closest" which may misleading people to think the Blinds are one of the closest but they are in fact the farthest. Thanks for this precise specification in your video!
I played two poker games with family we used quarters as chips and stacks of four where used I suggest this and I won 18$ now I'm 13 so this was pretty good and the second time we played a few months later I got 25$ and it was one of the funniest times ever
At the 4:25 mark, I think the weakest winning hand would be high card. The only thing player has is the single highest card. Otherwise a nice video. I learned a lot.
When players 2 and 3 "call" after they have SB BB, do they just add chips to the existing SB BB to equal the previous player bet? Or do they add additional chips, equal to previous bet? If that question is clear... thanks!
This may seem like a daft question, but I am a total newbie. Once the betting has got all the way round to the big blind and he checks, is that the end of the betting round, or can the round continue with the "Under the Gun " raising?
1:45 I've always played poker where the first round ends at the dealer; the small and big blind don't need to call. I thought the whole point is the blinds have already made their 'blind bet' in that round. Is this wrong?
Thank you for this instruction. It was helpful. *QUESTION* I recently purchased a Texas Hold Em kit and it came with dice but I didn't see you mention nor use dice in this video. Are they unnecessary?
This is brilliant, I’ve always wanted to have a go at poker but it always looked so complicated, this has made it very simple. However it doesn’t explain what happens if by some chance there’s two equal winning hands, is the pot shared? isn’t there also a main pot and side pot scenario too?
Question: let’s say for instance 2 players have 1 card of spades both and a community card has 1 card of spades which player gets the card of spades The 1st player or the 2nd player how is it decided
Everyone shares the community cards....you both get to make your own best hand...but suit only come into play on flush, thus 1 spade in the cc cards would mean nothing to either of you. However if there were3 spades in the cc youd both have flushes and then it would come down to which of you had the higher spade(s) in your hand
Super helpful! Similar card combo values as something like cribbage or even Yahtzee. One question - in this game, is Ace high or low? Does one person choose and it applies for everyone or each player uses it in the way most useful to them?
Wow what an amazing tutorial it really helped me out. I learned super quick thanks to this bid not complicating every single little rule. He was just straight to the point without using super weird terminology without explaining.
Thank you so much! I’m on vacation and my friends asked me if I wanted to play with them on Thursday. I haven’t played in a few months and I forgot the rank of the card hands.
I’m still struggling with the meaning of the word “hand”. You seem to use it to mean the following interchangeably: A. A combination of five cards, the rank of which is compared to those of the other players to determine who takes the pot (“the rank of a hand”). B. A period of the game that starts when a dealer is designated and ends when the dealer is re-designated (“another hand of poker”). Is “hand” an equivocal term? Please clarify.
Adam Roberts Which brings into question the meaning of “round”. There are several “rounds” of betting before the “MY hands” are collected and dealt again each “A hand”. Can we call them “A rounds” and “MY rounds”?
This is definitely a good tutorial on the basics, but it doesn't explain a few things, such as, the blind amounts and how they raise after time, if a player keeps raising a bet. Ties, splits and all in/side pots just to name a few.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a very good video with the best explanation I have seen so far. BUT, I feel as thought it did sort of a poor job on explaining what makes a good hand and a horrible one and how to bet, unless there was a part two to this video I didn’t see.
QUEST: Home game. If player-1 and player-2 have the same pair, but Player-1 says he has a pair + Queen kicker & Player-2 has the same pair BUT uses the Ace showing on the board, then Player-1 realizes his mistake and also calls Ace kicker, is he allowed to change his mind once called? THANKS
Just a question... Who get the first card? Is it the dealer or the one with small blind? Because in your video, it shows that the dealer gets the first card. But i thought it has to be yhe left of the dealer that gets the first card.
If player 4 were to call and match the big blind and everyone else also calls until it gets back to player 2 would they have to also match the big blind to stay in the game?
What happens if during the preflop player five raises, is player 4 forced to call? Woudn't that contradict that player 3 who is the big blind is supposed to be the last one to take action in the round?
ERROR IN THIS VIDEO: The player to the immediate left of the dealer button in the small blind receives the first card and then the dealer pitches cards around the table in a clockwise motion from player to player until each has received two starting cards. (Dealer button does not get first card.)
Wait so is the big blind and small blind put straight into the pot or is it the current bet? Like when the first round ensues will player number 4 have to match the big blind at least if he wants to keep playing or will the big blind already be in the pot allowing player 4 to bet whatever he wants?
