      So ur results driven . This is WHy u don’t win in poker. It’s not about results. Just because u lost in the past with specific hands. Does not mean that they cannot be played. Almost every hand has value whether it is calling from the big blind or various other situations when u can open any 2 as a large stack on the bubble. Poker has no answers. It’s about the ability to adapt

      All depends on your position, who's on your left, how much it costs, implied odds, pot odds, how many nits and crazy people before you, so much to figure, but all that should be going through your head when you have 3 seconds to decide to call or fold. If you can't do that, fold.

    have to disagree... if youre talking about tournaments, then fine, but in cash games, the cards you play should depend almost completely on your position, your stack, and how much it costs to see a flop. Hi Nathan,
    How do you actually calculate your winchance flop/preflop?
    In percents (estimates)
    -without knowing opponent’s
    hand?
    I allways make a fast “about” calculation. I am not allways the same in my play though.
    *Edit: Thus i do not think for too long often. But i do see a little problem here sometimes because i do not think strongly deeply long enough to consider my actions!
    Thats how i got defeated yesterday on 14th or something! While i ahould have AT LEAST join the final table! Pretty sad! I missed MANY this way this close.
    Because i do not CHECK myself enough!
    What happened yesterday was lose 1010 vs QQ.
    Subconscuously i actually already felt little bit uncomfortable about it when o saw the flop (which i dont remember). I lost all chips in that hand as i didnt hit my trip. Or we bot hitted im not surr, there was a hand like that as well. O wait i won that one K’s over Q’s.

    Most hands in poker are bad, there’s only a few hands that are worth playing. But you can be dealt AA, KK or AK 100 times in a row and still lose every single hand. In my opinion poker is too inconsistent and more the luck of the draw. Blackjack is more consistent and with learning basic strategy will make you a much better player.

    Funny I saw someone play KT in 6 max online cash from 2nd position. It was suited and they 3 bet the utg and then remarked that their solver advised that's a +ev play. Now I'm all for KTs in position or defending from blinds and perhaps with solid reads on your opponents you could 3 bet it in position but I was shocked that a solver would recommend 3 betting it from early position after utg opened man has poker changed a lot the last decade. I miss the days before solvers.

    • @tumbleweedconnection7906
      @tumbleweedconnection7906 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Adzy2k61 I'm old school and I think solvers and AI are ruining poker. Sure plenty of players are drastically better from a technical and mathematical sense compared to even 10 years ago but that doesn't mean that the game is any better for it. If you're using a solver to beat micro stakes you're sometimes eliminating the fact that a lot of your opponents aren't doing things that make sense so any type of range you put them on could be wildly inaccurate and any gto play won't matter against them.

    • @Adzy2k61
      @Adzy2k61 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@tumbleweedconnection7906 Solvers are arguably just making players better. The game has been constantly evolving and solvers are just the current peak of that. AK, and even AA, KK, QQ are all great hands but dangerous. Things can escalate and while they're awesome and 'usually' win for me, the amount of money you DON'T lose from throwing them in the muck is so big as anything.
      This has been the case for me mant times in multi-player hands and see others cards to the river after I'm out and people call and hit with wierd hands and I WOULD HAVE got smoked.
      Too many variables to list bro. Playstyles, your mood, their mood, hand history, skill level, booze, is the whole table nuts so is your AA going against 3 or 4 nut jobs anything short if an all in? Too mich in there, so someone might middle stack or stuck all night shoves or won't fold on a draw and hits, stack sizes, getting in our own head cuz were card dead, then you see AA finally... Just a ton of variables more that can throw people off. I've got better at navigating all that and when I did, the 'good hands' became good to me. Even still, they'll get cracked but if you read the whole table, opponents, and situations we'll, you should be gtg over time.

    I see a lot of comments struggling with the logic in this video. So let me try to explain. When you think of a range, you are thinking of, "what are the group of hands that a player like the one I'm playing would play instead of folding?"
    When a TAG or a NIT plays a hand, they are giving you an implicit range that suggests they have a hand that is in the top 5-20% of hands, with a higher probability of those hands that every TAG/NIT plays (e.g. AK, AQ, pocket pair). You should therefore only play hands that beat that group of hands frequently, and discard hands that are likely to lose to that group of hands (e.g. A9, KT).
    If you assume the person across from you is a fish, and play accordingly at all time, instead of recognizing the difference between a fish and TAG/NIT - YOU ARE THE FISH. The old saying is, "if you look around the table and can't see who the fish is, you are the fish." That applies here. A lot of folks commenting here are implicitly assuming the person across from them are playing a trash hand. That is a sign that these commenters play trash hands, and are the fish.

    Depends also on your stack size 4 sure with good sz you can raise 57s sometimes as short or middle stack i dont play it also nearly every Jx or Kx not also KK and JJ loose many times yesterday i win with KQ 1 time since many many Times many depends on your Stack size and if youre playing Satellite or normal slow Tourney etc. By Satellites you only play strong Hands 4 sure if you want to win and varianz is o.k sometimes its really crazy and nearly all bs hand win then better quit. But yeah thats good Advices also K6 4 example loose vs KQ both Top Pair thats main Problem of under 10 kicker hands you have often bad kicker also by 7,9 etc. flushs !

    KTo really isn’t that horrible of a hand. Just depends on how you play it.
    It is trash if you’re open raising from UTG, or 3-betting against an early position raise, however if you’re in late position and it gets folded around obviously you’re going to 3-bet with only the blinds left to act. All the other hands you mentioned I would agree with what you said, though.
