think of it like this, pairs are at the absolute bottom with high card and the only time pairs have a good rank is in full house (one pair, three of a kind)

If you really want to learn poker you should play some online poker game on internet or downloading an app. You will lose in the beginning but it will give you a better idea as you go on. Plus it's virtual money so it doesn't really matter.
Was thinking of doing this :)) I had no idea how much money poker can take from people until I saw this video, and I panicked. I love the idea of the game more than I love the idea of winning money. Update 20 minutes later: I played a game with a $25 fee and walked away with $93 (the game takes place in 1910 so that's a pretty good take)

What exactly is the highest and lower cards? I can't seem to find it anywhere and I believe this is the most important information for us to correctly form hands.
Confusing from the start...what is 'blind'? What are the cards on the table? Two random cards from the deck? Do players check what they are before doing the 'blind' thing whatever it is? Are they allowed, or maybe required to do so? Why would a player 'fold'? Is it because they don't like the cards dealt to them? How do they know those are bad cards? I've got more questions than answers after watching for like one minute...I've never played any card game, so maybe it's just not for complete beginners this video?

When u really understand it, it's an amazing game. It requires you to see things from many different perspectives at once. And it's really psychological. You are also battling the wits of your opponent. Clever people do well at the game. Edit: and if you're new and don't understand right away, don't worry, doesn't mean u aren't clever, just play for a bit and u will pick it up, then the fun begins.

I never understand why they don’t explain the rules of checking properly. For anybody wondering, if a hand is checked you can continue and only continue to check around the table until somebody places a bet then you must call, raise or fold

If you want to teach people the poker rules you have to explain everything from the beginning! You cant just skip parts and expect people to know what you're talking about..
