I needed that dude! Great video for a new nox user like me. The 1st one I’ve found on TH-cam that actually explains all the features properly 👌🏻 cheers
thanks Kevin, just brought a 600 and first impessions was not good but after holding power button on for 10 secs and factory reset.. FP on screen... superb thanks for this...
Thank you for keeping it simple. Trying to understand the discriminate button as i dont want to dig rubbish but my partner says dig everything.i will try your settings on my 800.thanks
I'm getting nox 800 in about a week. I would like to know if smaller size coil is better for gold in rocky areas. So, the right setting may be 2,3,4 for gold nuggets? Thanks, Michael.
the smaller coils are better in tight areas u wont loose much depth on the 6" either its a good coil, the 11" is my favourite coil it does well in all areas for me
Hi Kevin , tried out your settings today ok but I kept getting a constant bag ground hum and wondered if it was iron keep coming through, can you please advice on what settings I could change please . Cheers Dave
If u think its iron drop on to single frequency 10khz it will jump from low numbers to in the 20s that will be iron. If in clean areas with no a lot of trash lower your speed if a lot of trash raise it. I usually keep iron bias at 2 but if in clean ground u can drop right down to 0. Once u have learned the machine manually ground balance this makes a massive difference but can make it a little sparky.
thanks nut what about the depth gage how do you know hoq many inches down things are . ??? also what about the senertivity level ...much appreciated ...thanks
Hello want setting do you suggest in old iron nails. I’ve been using 7 recovery speed for the quick separation but I need more deep at this location so will 6 or 5 increase my iron falsing of masking any silver mixed in the iron. Thank you for your videos and America love you 🇺🇸
If theres a lot of iron the higher recovery speed will help to separate each object but will decrease the depth, try running recovery speed 4 you will get close to max depth but still get good separation, the iron bias is good to run at 1 then u will hear the nails and objects so will be easy to pick out the good targets.
Hi I’ve just got a nox 800, however I’ve come over from whites......on my whites copper was 79-83 silver was around 40 however on the nox copper could be as low as 15 ish why is this? It’s so bloody annoying....any advice would be much appreciated
Some of the bunhead half pennies come up around 16-17 and big pennies will be in the 20s were the cartwheel pennies will some in around 32 it’s to do with the multi frequency. U will find some copper milled pennies come up in the 20s and some 30s were as hammered silver coins can range from 11-19. I normally run now on 2 tones with iron bias 0 and recovery speed 4 most of the time, as small gold can be as low as 2 so dig everything u won’t miss much on these settings, I’ve found running iron bias as 0 u get better target seperation, it’s best to hear a nail next to a target as I’ve had hammies at depth that come in as a mixed tone with some iron buzz.
Good Vid Kev - subscribed, can I ask what you have around grip as it looks like I need to do that as I noticed my hand was sliding when wet the other day - what's the ring grip thing lol cheers
All Nox Demos should have a " Square Photo at the beginning of the videos!" Especially if it is Your Own Setup! Show Park Mode 1 or 2, Field modes and settings you are using. It will make it easier for new Nox users to setup accordingly. People can also "Screen Catch" the picture and take it to the field with them. Just my two cents..
Hey there, found your information extremely helpful, but got my unit yesterday, tried to change accordingly and all I get is all this noise: th-cam.com/video/pycuyc660cI/w-d-xo.html Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong? This does it after a factory reset or even pointing up in the air

Just got my 800 2 weeks ago, been watching a lot of TH-cam videos on settings. Going out and listening to tones and numbers is good experience.
thanks Kevin, just brought a 600 and first impessions was not good but after holding power button on for 10 secs and factory reset.. FP on screen... superb thanks for this...
Thanks for taking the time. I'm new to detecting and this is my 1st machine. I know it's an intermediate detector so there is a lot to learn.

I've always done the noise cancel first. So it should be done last. I'm trying to find out what the bottom right button is for.

That cleared up a couple things I was doing wrong.

Copper pennies will be in the 20s vicky bunheads will be around 17s it's to do with multi frequency
kevin mountford so if I put it on single frequency it will be back in the 70/80s?
No the vdi only goes to 40

Good Vid Kev - subscribed, can I ask what you have around grip as it looks like I need to do that as I noticed my hand was sliding when wet the other day - what's the ring grip thing lol cheers
I have used amalgamated tape with a rubber fuel hose to stop my hand slipping, it's better to use cycle handle bar tape but I didn't have any 👍👍
Thanks Kevin realy good to understand video
Cheers, also just saw it on Facebook so looked for you to subscribe, much appreciated kev
