I'm still praying to get these laws passed, I'm in the USA but pray for the British pet trade to stop primate trade. Monkeys are not pets, no matter their size.

Sadly, here in the US, there are no Federal laws prohibiting or restricting the keeping of primates as pets. Some regulations at State levels….but nothing Federal. We must do better.

Monkey World when you hear the stories behind a lot of their rescues absolutely breaks my heart. Yet I am consoled knowing the rescued will be well cared for.

It is so heart breaking to see Primates as pet. Thank you Monkey World for being such a driving force for new legislation and for advocating for these beautiful animals.

In fairness it looks like Dean really tried to give a good environment. if he was unable to provide a safe happy home with that big outdoor enclosure it really shows it's not about space or intentions. We need to respect wild animals for being just that... and stop funding criminals.

I couldn't wait for each episode of Monkey World to come out. Really REALLY miss watching all the updates. Wish there was a way to continue watching it.

The same laws and care need to be applied here in the states. It's disgusting how many people I've seen with marmosets and capuchins and other small monkeys. Being sold legally as well as illegally.
This is very inspiring and has pushed me to start looking into how I can help here. Everyone at Monkey World, yall are really some good ones❤❤

Thank you Dean for being prepared to go in front of the cameras …it can’t have been easy to do that. And Thank you Alison and your team for your continued fight. ❤

I do feel sorry for the guy, you can see that he's really heartbroken about it. However, it's the right decision for the monkey and hopefully he will come and visit his old friend at Monkey World regularly. Then again, who needs an excuse to go to Monkey World? If I lived in the UK, I'd be aiming to get there at least twice a year if not once a month. It really is a magical place.

I wish primates were also banned in the USA.
People don't realize they are looking at 40+ years living with a toddler and diaper changing multiple times a day the vet care is much more expensive as you have to go to exotic vets. I unfortunately felled for the wonderful hype I put my babies in a rescue in less than 2 years for them.
When people talk about getting a private I try to explain to them but they have their minds already made up. 😢

Of all countries, one would think the United States would want to set an example and do what's right by wild animals. Apparently the labs along with Elon Musk enjoy torturing them to death along with hardheaded people that think they can be the one to change monkeys into domesticated pets. It's downright embarrassing at times coming from America and finding out a facility was almost built in Georgia but for the few that had some sense and put a stop to that.
