2:09 what an absolute stunner. The grain just adds so much charisma and character to the shot. The way the center is clean, and the outside is distorted, gives both an elegant and dystopic feeling. Invoking. Great job. What a great example of a photos content being greater than it's "imperfections."
Thank you for the wonderful comment! I really like clean perfect shots, and often stay away from grain… but like you said, sometimes it compliments the photo.
I think you’ll be fine. It apparently has 6 stops of dynamic range when fresh (which is pretty wild!), so I’m sure you’ll get very clean results, especially in the shadows, at 800.
Good plan! Check out all the little independent film camera shops too (lemon camera, used camera box, and Shinjuku used camera market, all in Shinjuku, for example. They often have Fujifilm on the counter). If you go to Yokohama (and I you should) then check out Suzuki Camera, in the station. They have a ridiculously big selection of film.
@@NorbiWhitney Update: Ended up being sold out, but actually that was a blessing in disguise lol. For some reason Lomography was selling 3-packs of expired 35mm film (800 iso) for 55 yen (not a typo) so I just ordered a bunch. Still can't believe I snagged that tbh considering the same product now is over 50 dollars! Crazy!
If you mean Superia 1600, it’s the exact same as Natura 1600 just with a different name. If you mean Superia in general, it’s my favourite colour film (especially at 400), with much cooler and “crisper” results than Kodak. Buuuuut Fuji just discontinued it 😞
@@NorbiWhitney did fuji discontinue the entire superia line? i hear Superia Premium 400 is still being made edit: oh i see superia xtra is being discontinued. glad i stocked up at the local camera shop here in canada and put it in the fridge
@@romanfedorowycz4090 You've made a good choice. I have 5 rolls of Superia Premium left, and the next Japan trip is 2025, so they'll probably be my last 😔
These are great! I loved 2:26 in particular!
Thanks man. Glad I made the right choice on the thumbnail!

That’s the Yasuyo Building designed by Shindo Akashin! Pretty cool
@@adrianemikko thanks for sharing!
@@adrianemikko Indeed. I think I take a picture of it everytime I'm photowalking through Shinjuku, such a cool building!
Great photowalk and the colours in your vid match the film ones like absolutely! Cheers!
Thanks man! I spent a long time on the grading. Glad you noticed 🙏🏼
Man, I’d do just about anything to get Fujifilm to bring Natura back.
For real. While I had a glimmer of hope for Fuji, the official discontinuation of Superia has killed that.
Just shot a roll expired in 2018 at 800iso, would it be too overexposed?

Hey I'm going to Japan soon, I see on Rakuten they have a 10 pack of Fujicolor 100 for about 100 USD. I think I'm going to get some film!
Good plan!

@@cdahdude51 Yo that's crazy prices! Lomo 800 is my favourite stock (when I don't have Superia Premium on hand). Enjoy it!
