I say I'm a recovering Christian. Lol . The doctrine is so brainwashing, but I had an NDE in 2008 that opened me up.. Jesus told me the lies are hidden in the truth. Jesus said if it doesn't highlight me in unconditional love, then it's a lie. Unconditional love doesn't judge. We judge ourselves, and he doesn't he only loves. We are all one from the one .I am. We all are the I am. The second coming of Chris is when enough of us wake up to this truth. Mabe the 144..We are sparks or shards of God . We are a drop in the ocean that makes the ocean.. Good for you for looking with in.. When Jesus died he said he had to go this is becuse he lives with in.

Wow, that’s incredible! Thanks for sharing. It’s really cool to hear the similarities in many near death experiences. Many people have experienced the unconditional love you talk about and the realization that we are all from the One, and expressions of the One.

Jesus would end some of his teachings with the words "For those with ears to hear..." in recognition that only some people, probably a very small number, would know what he meant. He would even get frustrated with the disciples. Other times, when he would speak to the masses, he would speak down to their level of understanding. In my own experience, Eastern traditions opened the door and meditation walked me through it. As a result, I now have a deeper appreciation for the teachings of Jesus. The Gospel of Thomas has been part of that appreciation. I have only just found you, Logan but have subscribed. I can relate to everything you say and I'm so glad you have chosen to share your knowing. Truly beautiful. 🙏🏾❤

Great work Logan. It is heartening to see younger folk like yourself putting out these beautiful, well considered, corrective 'teachings' on these topics. When so many are thirsting to spiritual sustenance and would like to find it within their own 'tradition' in the West, then this is a healing balm. When many churches are exclusivist in their doctrinal inflexibility, this offers a way forward for many folk. Coming out of exclusivist or sectarian beliefs must be hard for many folk. You are doing such great work in this regard. A more esoteric/allegorical and mystical interpretation and living out of the Gospel has been around since day 1. It is so great to see commentators and younger guides like yourself pick this up and run with it. It truly is blessing work.

Change is constant. God is infinite. Confining God within a religion (to bind) and requiring its believers to adhere (bind) creates a codependency. Unfortunately, there’s billions on earth who are codependent.
Logan, you are a bright light shining, illuminating thousands of years of ignorance (fear) and opening so many eyes. 🙏

    • @IOS1637
      @IOS1637 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

We ARE (co)dependent on God because only in Him we have our being.
It is not in man to direct his own steps, because man has proven himself to be a continuous failure through out history when left to his own devices.
When we trust in God and His word, we shall be safe from evil.
So the term religion (to bind) doesn't necessarily have to be negative, because it all depends on what and WHO you bind yourself with.
Do you know which God or god you serve?

I just discovered your channel yesterday and am so enjoying your style of releasing Truth.
The LORD has been teaching me these things for some time, but recently as I have begun to practice contemplative prayer and listen to some wonderful teachers like Richard Rohr, Cynthia Bourgeois and others, my heart has begun to open more and more to these Truths. I find myself able to let go of so much of my traditional Christian teaching and i look forward to continuing to go deeper into the reality which is GOD.

My personal understanding of why all of Jesus teachings, and even the missing years of Jesus were not included in scriptures, was because Jesus was teaching everyone that God is within. If you just had the faith to look inside, you with faith can find the light that is your own. They forgot or accidentally misplaced, of those teachings and understandings to make it so cryptic and parabolic that the only way to understand Jesus teachings is through the church. I don’t believe Jesus said to John or Paul or Thomas go build a physical church. A church is the people not a building. The people are what mattered and still do, but the only way to become enlightened to find God and the Holy Spirit is to love, trust, forgive and then look within yourself. Then you can awaken your spirit, within and everything will finally make sense and love will become so abundant. False things will be seen and witnessed. Evil and dark things. Will, no longer have power. Answers to questions will be revealed. Cultural and society consciousness will be fun like a playground or like recess for a child. Just like the garden of even was meant for us to enjoy. Sorry for the long answer. 8:18

Incredible video Logan. I love that you talk about going within and doing your own homework or study. That is the way to the truth. As we stop going outside ourselves, we regain the power that was lost through our mindset or teaching, that many of us received in the Christian faith teaching of the last age. I believe that is the ancient path, and when we return to it, we find the true divinity within us that unlocks the power we have, and gives us access. It was far too dangerous to add these books to the canon lest we find out the truth of who we’ve always been. It totally strips the powers that be of control.

What a fascinating consideration it might be that the Gospel of Thomas may include the most primal and authentic layer of Jesus teachings, and were literally written down after being spoken by Judas Thomas. What if some in the growing conventional Church early in the second century onwards perhaps knew this and deliberately censored the words of the Master as they were just too difficult and inconvenient to their growing power base? That is a truly shocking consideration. I feel we can be hugely grateful for that brave Monk or Monks who took the Nag Hammadi treasure out into the desert for safekeeping. Keep up the good work Logan!

You are an emanation of Source, as light rays emanates from their source. This is the meaning of Son of God, one who emanates from God.
Jesus also spoke of the devil as being the father of the Pharisees. He also spoke of Peter as Satan -- "Get behind me, Satan."
You must not get hung up on the words. What is profound often seems contradictory and senseless.
Words are but symbols and pointers.

Deep and wonderful message! I too have learned to recognize "The Christ" as separate from the historical person of Jesus whom I believe revealed "The Christ" in a beautiful way. My own desire of having a black & white explanation of God's revelation led me to trying to restrict/contain God within the covers of my bible. Seeing the greatness, goodness and magnificence of God as 'love' has opened my eyes to fact that all people, all creation is yearning to return/become or recognize what we are meant to be (and actually are) - The Christ. Christ in you.
I now see the bible as the writings of men trying to express that deepest longing in light of their own inspired experience and understanding. It also allows me to appreciate the same aspirations in the sacred writings of other traditions. We are all on this journey together... just some more awakened to The Christ or Kingdom of Heaven/God within.

It was the Catholic religion who added to, took away and mistranslated the Sacred Scripture. They did they when the translated the Bible from Latin to German, and then later to English. Martin Luther was translating Romans, and discover “the just shall live by faith in Father’s faith in us. He went to the Pope with this discover, and the Pope told him to shut up, and quite resisting what they were doing.

I’d like share something that I’ve been seeing these past few days in regards to the Passover/crucifixion/resurrection stories. When it was said, find a pure first born lamb in the exodus story, take its blood as an offering on the doorframe. It said to me, what is it that we’re offering as food to the world? Are we offering ourselves up based deeply in Egoic offerings or are we purified as represented by the Purity of a baby lamb? Which symbolically is saying, when this is our offering death cannot come for us because this is truly who we are and we’ve slain our egoic bodies already, crucified/resurrected in spirit and in truth. The living waters, in communion with source.
I believe we are now living those times where this covenant is to be fully understood as we embark on a new age, entering the age of Aquarius.
    Mark, chapter 14, verses 12-16:
"And on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, 'Where will you have us go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?' And he sent two of his disciples and said to them, 'Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him, and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, “The Teacher says, Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?” And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us.' And the disciples set out and went to the city and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover."

thank you Logan. your teaching resonates with me very deeply because I've come to some of the same conclusions. I'm 83 years old and have pondered these things for most of my life. The question that troubles me is this; if the knigdom of God is within us does that mean that It is also within people like Ted Bundy and the hundreds of other serial killers? Why are some people really good, kind and loving people and others are totally evil? This is an old issue, the question of good and evil, but it's the one thing that makes me question the essence of your teaching. Thanks again. I really like your video.

    • @LoganBarone
      @LoganBarone  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thanks for sharing that, and thanks for taking the time to watch my video. To answer your question: The kingdom of God is within all, but not all are awake to it. The Kingdom of God is unity consciousness (non-duality). Evil actions stem from a mind operating out of separation consciousness. To change these actions (the fruit), there must be a change of mind (the root), not the other way around. Sin is to “miss the mark.” What mark? The mark of reality. What is reality? Oneness. And Oneness is exactly what Jesus came to reveal to us. Jesus came to take away the “sin” (separation consciousness) of the world NOT by dying as a required atonement sacrifice to appease the wrath of an angry deity, but by embodying unity consciousness, exemplifying the divine nature, and expressing selfless love even unto death. When we see him, we certainly see the Father. And when we see the Father, we gaze into a reflection of our Self-our True Self. There is no greater “salvation” than this.
Living from unity consciousness can be summed up into one sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Loving your neighbor as yourself is the mystical recognition that your neighbor is yourself. When we see that separation is an illusion and that everyone and everything is connected (one), we then realize that what we do to another, we are doing to ourselves. Jesus even expounds on this idea by teaching the sowing and reaping principle, and he also mentions the “golden rule” that has been echoed by many enlightened beings for centuries: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Jesus leads out of the illusion of separation (darkness) and into the reality of unity consciousness (light).
It's all about awakening to what's within oneself. If one is asleep to it, there's potential for that person to live contrary to the “kingdom of God” within them even though it's hidden within the depths of their being. Consider this quote from Paramahansa Yogananda: “The greatest sin is to call yourself a sinner. You are a child of God. Though gold is covered with mud for centuries, it remains gold. So the pure ‘gold’ of the soul can be covered over with the mud of delusion for eons, but in its true nature it remains forever undefiled.”

It seems to me Jesus was trying to tell ys that the consciousness after we shed our physical bodies will be considered reality to us because it is actually the real existence, and we need to be good so when we die and shed our physical bodies we will be in the state of consciousness that is heavily and not in a consciousness that we feel sense we didn't live a good life we deserve to be in, so we can actually look within ourselves and access a heavily existence from within before we shed our physical bodies, things are fixed in this physical existence but in the spiritual environment things are mentally manifested we need to seek goodness as much as possible and understand we are not this physical body and really never have been, we have merely stepped into the physical for a short time which to the spiritual or conscious realm time doesn't even exist as we know it here, i believe this is reality and it was extremely hard for Jesus to try and convey this, especially to those back when he was in the physical, it's extremely hard for anyone to explain it even today in this so called modern time.

Hi Logan, Thanks for this video. You ask why was this hidden. I🎉 wonder that as well. One of my meditations led me to wonder if this was some misplaced protection. In some eastern teaching a guru is advised maybe insisted to guide the seeker through dangerous territory. When we find within us altered states of consciousness, these may be unstablizing to our relationships. We may encounter things in that state that scare us. If we are not stable mentally, emotionally, and spirituality when we enter these states. We will find that the world we knew is gone, one can't unlearn what is discovered. So, maybe this started out to protect us, and maybe power and greed took over and we find ourselves without the truth. Thanks for the video.

Yes! Christ Consciousness/Enlightenment/True Self is who we are! One of the most popular teachings of religion is that we are inherently sinful. Why do you think this is? Because if we believe ourselves to be inherently sinful, we won't realize the true nature of our divinity. “Know Thyself” is the key to awakening.

The main reason I think is because Jesus pushes that you can find Him and have communion with Him anywhere, which sort of takes the power and wealth from the church. They want people to rely on the church and priests for salvation, like the Pharisees did, and the Gospel of Thomas did a good job of making the church seem less necessary than they wanted to be seen as. You can look under a stone and you will find me there. They just want to be the only stone. It also alludes to different interpretation than theirs, so they couldn’t lord over orthodoxy if Jesus Himself teaches differently.

When you mentioned the txt from the Gospel of Thomas, “When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known..”, and then began talking about the false and true self I began to realize something. In coming into the fullness on knowing our divine nature we are all on a continuum. On one end you could say that the epitome of lack of this self- awareness and an aggravated false self could be likened to full on narcissism where there’s a continuous dissociation with reality. With this it produces a false and malignant love and produces the antithesis of the nature of the divine as this human state tries to pull its identity from the surroundings rather than from its divine nature within. On the other end you have the purest example of the divine, Jesus, showing us what it’s like to be one with the divine. Furthermore, perhaps it was this kind of dissociation itself that caused the leaving out of the book of Thomas from the canon to exercise a form of control and many other decisions which has led to the modern hell doctrine and a continued war so to speak from the religious trying to constantly keep people from the truth to control them and realizing their divine nature.

Right on. This agrees with the Gospel: Christ/God IN us our hope to really know/ experience our true intended glory for which we have been made for. This is the mystery NOW Made KNOWN -- Col. 1:27. And what is now known can be experienced. God is pure Goodness and He places His goodness into the core of our being which empowers our transformation within first. His goodness is acceptance, rightness, peace, love, joy placed deep with in us so that we can drink these substances of the Spirit of God given and deposited in us by Him. This is the Kingdom of Heaven with in us. It is indeed a well source of Living Water to our being and to those who are dead and dry also. We are this house, temple, structure in which He has placed Himslf to dwell in IF He is invited to do so. He/Goodness and His Kingdom is the Pearl of GREAT PRICE and value that He gives to us inside in order to have, experience, & cherish if we want it. I want it! Let it be to me Lord as you have said! Is this not a good message and news?

"“No man cometh unto the Father, but by me” is among the most misunderstood statements in the Bible. It does not mean that I am in any way separate or different from you, except in time. Now, we know that time does not exist. Actually, the statement is much more meaningful if it is considered on a vertical rather than a horizontal axis. Regarded along the vertical, humanity stands below me and I stand below God. In the process of “rising up,” I am higher. This is because without me the distance between God and humanity is too great for you to encompass. I bridge the distance as an elder brother on the one hand and a Son of God on the other. My devotion to my brothers has placed me in charge of the Sonship, which I can render complete only to the extent I can share it." ~Jesus in "A Course in Miracles" [CE T-1.46.17]

It's the most important teaching of Jesus. Jesus is saying that your own True Self is a spark of the Divine. The Divine lives in each and every one of us as our True Nature. The image of Christ pointing to his Sacred Heart is very revealing. Jesus is pointing to the flame within his heart, which is the Divine True Nature of each and every being. The Soul Core or True Nature is deep within the heart. The problem is it is dormant in most people and to access it directly one must suffer one's karma and the de-repression of the Shadow and the deep unconscious psyche. This leads to a direct integration with one's True Nature, which is Divine. This is the real Good News of the Gospels. The inner Divine core is also the access point to the fathomless multi dimensional Living Cosmos. There are indeed real Kingdoms and worlds that can be accessed internally. To access them you must reach a certain level of psycho spiritual growth. Attaining to the Kingdom is the goal and telos of human existence. It is far and above the greatest and most fulfilling and meaningful thing a human being can do. Humans that accomplish this attain to salvation or "moksha"...liberation and salvation from the cycles of life and death on Earth. One graduates the Earth School.

Thank you for the explanations, wonderful lessons, and for sharing some of the Book of Thomas.
Nonetheless, I believe that we don't even need more information than what are already available. The Old and New Testament says it all. The question is, are we seeking God with clarity?
    Jeremiah 29:13
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jesus summarized two greatest commandments that would have definitely saved us from darkness, confusion...
In addition, he stated the power and peace we have granted. I wonder why we are not taking advantage of our true nature. And again, we have the answers; such as the verses below❤🙏
    Galatians 5:16-26 NLT
"So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires."
    Romans 7:15-20
"15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[a] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it."
    God bless❤🙏

what's ultimately scary is that we don't know who is correct. You may be correct, the Church may be correct, or nobody may be correct, and the only way we'll know for sure- of who was correct, and whether there is something or nothing- is when we die...and that's frightening.
... though you do bring up a interesting thought: if the Bible is God-breathed like so many say... then why did man declared that some Books are false, heretical, and non-canonical to the point they are removed? If everything in it is true, then why remove some of it?

  • @johnprater1598

The Gospel of Thomas was labelled a "Gnostic" and "Heretical" text by the proto-Orthodox church, mainly by Ireneaus of Lyons. We knew little about this so-called gospel until it was discovered in the 1940's at Nag Hammadi, Egypt. If you want a better understanding of why such texts are considered heretical, I highly recommend picking up a copy of "Against Heresies" by Ireneaus. He delves deeply into the craziness of so-called "Gnostic" wisdom from his time period in the late second century.

    • @LoganBarone
      @LoganBarone  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes, I’m familiar with with Irenaeus “Against Heresies.” My question has always been, who gets to decide what is “orthodoxy” and what is “heresy.” This idea of one person or one group gathering together and deciding for everyone else what is “true” (naming it orthodoxy) and what is “false” (naming it heresy) has never really sat well with me. I don't like the whole “We’re right, you’re wrong” mentality. I believe there are much better ways to go about disagreeing.
Also, guess what happened to many of these “heretics”? They were severely persecuted, excommunicated, negatively labeled, and had their writings burned by the ones who decided what orthodoxy was.
Question: Why did these people (labeled as heretics) experience persecution from the mainstream religious leaders?
Answer: Because they simply thought differently.
Does persecuting and demonizing someone else who thinks differently or has a different theology seem very Christ-like?
Historically, it seems as though the ones who are labeled heretical by the mainstream religious group carry a profound world-changing truth that transcends the control and confines of any one religion, dogma, doctrine, or creed. This was certainly the case for Jesus, as he was accused of “blasphemy” and being influenced by demons (multiple times).
Also, the term "Gnosticism" originated from the Greek word "gnosis," meaning knowledge. Early church fathers used it broadly to label diverse spiritual movements that deviated from mainstream Christian doctrine. However, this term oversimplifies a complex range of beliefs and practices. Using it as a blanket term can overlook the intricate nuances among these traditions and hinder a comprehensive understanding of their unique perspectives on spirituality and knowledge. And of course, just like any teaching labeled as heresy tends to be distorted, oversimplified, and exaggerated, this was certainly the case for what many early Christians labeled as “Gnosticism.”

I am no expert but this is the general gist of what I’ve found from studying this book as well. It’s a collection of Logia that have some parallels with Gospels but on whole through historical reconstruction seems to not be as early or contain later teachings that don’t really make sense in the context of the apostolic era. This is pretty well agreed upon by historians, not that institutional consent is necessary. The gospel of Thomas contains a more developed one could say platonic/gnostic viewpoint. This differs from the gospels which fits better with the belief systems of second temple Judaism. That being said it doesn’t mean it’s not imbued with the spirit or that it needs not be used as a reference to fill out the picture of the Lord, historical Christianity etc. I think it’s really cool to see the parallels between it and Vedanta, German Idealism, and other forms of thought that can expand the body of Christ through engagement. I personally don’t hold to a hard cannon and if I did I would say most Protestants don’t for excising the apocrypha. I will leave this with a humble suggestion, don’t let excitement over the new or overly mystic interpretations of Christianity overpower our rational faculties. Not everything is a conspiracy and it important to remember that history has a logos that we can discern, tradition is always evolving and we can use all of the tools at our disposal to engage thoughtfully with the world and the church.

@@LoganBarone Thanks! I haven't read that one but I knew he encouraged people to be like Jesus, generally Bhakti, the yoga of devotion/compassion/love, the same as Hermetics which is saying that compassion is the substance of the Universe. From my own experience I saw that light and thought are each end of the same thing, the Atman and Brahma, written I AM THAT I AM and That thou art or, broken down into a trinity, Om Tat Sat. Erasmus Bible says blood, water and breath are that Trinity in the physical sense.
Even thoughts are mundane and not your own so the practice is to still the mind as well as the body to stop thinking and see the light. 1 Corinthians 3-9 ''you are God's building'' and 1 Corinthians 6-19 ''you are not your own'' inferring that the body is lent to you on a Trust/Faith or Conservatorship arrangement. We can create or destroy with our bodies and freewill is given for us to define our own destinies that way. The whole thing does translate into secular law too, where the prior intention defines an act as criminal or accidental, the desire and the expression of it, avyaktam the unmanifest/immaterial intent and sankhya the manifest/material consequence.
I find it beautiful that the same basic systems have existed the world over though. The Hindu will say that all religions are but sects of their original religion, religion meaning ''human life''. There are many references to Christian Bhakti out there. Yogananda's teacher handwrote one copy of a book about the alignments of Christianity with Bhakti but apparently he lent it to someone and it was never returned.
So my conclusion is that the body is your personal teacher but to make progress we must not think of ourselves as the body but the conscience housed within it.
I've also heard that enlightenment can only take place while situated in a human body otherwise we reincarnate.
I have been recently very interested in the concept of the four animal functions, eating, sleeping, mating and defending which dominate most peoples' lives causing to act as animals. Animals cannot question which is the difference that makes us superior to animals. So in a world where free speech would be banned or punished how would we continue to question?

The Kingdom of God is the state of being a follower of Jesus; it's invisible in the sense that it's not a physical geographical political State; it's composed of all who believe & love and strive to follow Jesus, so in that sense it's internal and invisible; it's without in the sense that there are many who believe/love/follow Christ. Yes, we meet God within, we spiritually connect that way, through the heart; we are the temple of God in that sense; and we are able to commune with God directly there, but we are not God. God made us, God made us 'in his image', yes, but GOD MADE us, we are not 'one with God' in the same sense that Jesus was. That is the BEAUTY of the incarnation of Christ - the absolute humility to be the Creator yet deign to be born into the physical state of the created, the creation. There is no greater demonstration of pure LOVE for us than this. Compared to the richness of what is going on in the biblical accounts (when you dive in, and consider deeply, with sound exegesis), new-age-packaged-gnostic-hooey is so thin & vacuous, and frankly narcissistic.

Resurrection was the Eleusinian Mystery Ritual. Now you know what Plato meant with his allegory of the cave.

What are you setting in the beginning was the answer gospels that are in a Bible they were taken from the gospel of Thomas. Since you still on the path of finding the truth you should read the gospel of Mary that was another gospel that was found in Nagami Egypt, and it’s extremely powerful. If you truly pay attention to it, whoever has years to hear let him here.

The true self is One with God. God is the essence/energy of life itself.
    ‭John 14:20 NASB1995‬
[20] In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
The carnal body is just a temporary illusion.

    God = Life
"I am (Life) is come that you might have Life and have it more abundantly."
Be still and know that I am, you are, we are - simply being aware of being aware - as Life at Large - eternally actualizing infinite potential, because only Eternity can fully embrace Infinity.
Empty of ego (separateness) = Full of Life.
