Wow-a great version (the original?) of Bonnie's 65' Warner Bros Girl Group masterpiece-what a discovery! Wonderful to have some new Ronettes material to enjoy after all these years-it's just what we all need

This song sounds a lot like paradise. The arrangement and the instruments makes it very similar. It’s wonderful how jack nitzsche could do this kind of stuff and be not released.

This is a mega track...its all there..polished...the bells..the works...wonder where it was found and when ...bet theres a few gems hiding from ronnies 66/72 lock in at ex hubbys prison...surely he knocked out more tracks with ronnie in secret....and i bet keith richards has a few stashed as she visited him often and mentioned in an interview he was always recording her visits...rip ronnie...i did stage spotlight on her uk leeds gig 1991...she glowed and sang the classics to perfection😊😎

Love it I have played this over a hundred times ...I remember Ronnie saying a few decades ago that she also covered "Home Of The Brave" . But only Bonnie and the treasures version was released

real name-Charlotte O’Hara; very Ronnie-like. This song was also recorded by ‘Bonnie’ later, while the Ronette’s version remained unreleased. If Ronnie did her own version of “Home of the Brave” it would be fantastic.

Absolutely stunning!...I was a member of the Phil Spector Appreciation Society way back in the 70's at the time the Rare Master albums were released and there was a rumour that a SPECTOR produced version of "I Can Hear Music" was in the vaults somewhere...has anyone else heard this?
I was also a member of the PSAS...I still have some of the publications they used to send out in the post. Great days waiting for the latest edition to drop on to the Door mat.
Do you mean the Ronettes or another group?

@@martyn3538 Hey Martyn...me too...all my letters, T-shirt, PSAS sew on badge, Back To Mono badges. I loved those days waiting for the letter to arrive in the post with all the news on latest releases ....did you attend the PSAS party in Alton in '76? Shame it was a bit of a flop...poured with rain and because it was way out in the sticks hardly anyone turned up. I still have the photos from the evening...all sponsored by PSAS/Polydor of course. There was a lucky dip and one guy walked away with a "One Off" compilation box set...must be worth a fortune today. Nice to connect...I am on the Ronettes FB page. Cheers
@@freyatilly Hello, the "I Can Hear Music" on this comp was produced by Jeff Barry....it is a very bland production if you compare with the rest of the tracks on here. We were told way back in the 70's that the SPECTOR produced version had the same feel of "I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine" .....very big sound. This was '66 at the time Phil was working on "River Deep Mountain High" with Tina Turner, so you can imagine the BIG things he was doing then. I really hope it gets released and is not a myth...nice chatting!

Lovely recording, this may be my summer track,,,it is to be hoped /wished that some Crystals tracks will be found and sent out to us soon. Now that Ronettes tracks have been found..anyone out there got 'Mary ~Anne' ..or 'Its my party?????'
@Verna Green Yes the Crystals recorded a version, but it has stayed hidden in the vaults ...

@@JohnSmith-cw2wd session vocalist charlotte ann matheny was given the name "bonnie" on the late 1965 single "close your eyes" issued on warner bros. records. That version is orders of magnitude greater than this one by the ronettes.

You can buy this off of Amazon for $10.94. Reviews weren't all that great, some comments state that some tracks are poor quality. I'm curious if Spector authorized the release of these recordings for sale.

Stereo and unreleased songs....sure it's a bootleg, but it's a really really good bootleg....

the girls where fooled, they should have been given a real band and not always play with synthesizer background music. That's why their career broke up already in 1964
