I have a gaming pc but hesitant to buy new vegas because of all the horror stories i hear about making it able to run.

My advice for stability on PC is getting the Viva New Vegas modpack, it's a very lengthy install but there's a guide (look up Viva New Vegas or Viva New Vegas reddit and you'll find it) that gives step-by-step instructions and requires no prior knowledge on modding. It tells you everything, includes links to the mods, and it is very well and concisely written. I think it took me like 2.5 hours to do everything but everything ran better than I've ever seen in FNV. A possible alternative is getting a GOG copy, it runs far better than the Steam version with 0 mods, but I'm currently testing to make sure that's true (so far it is).
At around 6:29 you mentioned how you'd like for there to be a mod that changes the All-American to use .50 Beowulf which is interesting because The Survivalist's Rifle is basically just that but also if the All-American used its own ammo which I think, if we want it to be better than the other 5.56 guns then make it shoot .458 SOCOM or just make it another 12.7mm gun since .458 is really similar. That would be really cool for a weapon mod/All-American overhaul, I think.
@@Doc_Barnaky I honestly forgot the Survivalist's Rifle and it's 12.7mm ammo at that time, but I totally agree there's room for a second. Also giving the All-American extremely rare ammo (even more so than 12.7, something modded in like .458 SOCOM) could be a good explanation as to why none of the early Boomers chose to bring it along, though hopefully the Gun Runners could supply the Courier's demands.
you could barter for the mysterious magnum if you take the talent scout mission. as for my least favorite i'd have to go with thump-thump seeing as the courier's stash gives you the mercenarys grenade rifle that does about the same damage, the k-9000 isnt too big on my list either

I've always just been kind as can be or resorted to cold-blooded murder, never tried to play him like that.
Call me a normie, I don't care my favorites were Lucky, the Rat Slayer (I think that's what it was called),the Red Ryder LE BB gun, one of the Yao Guai gauntlets, That Gun and that unique knife you can get in a shack. If I could load and unload any SA revolver as fast as the courier I'd be so happy. The BB gun is so stupid OP too, I've sneak killed Mutants and Cazadores with that BB gun, so stupid.

My mild annoyance is with the ranger sequoia because I'm normally aligned or neutral to the NCR and it's a bit of a PITA to get ahold of, and I like it so much more than a regular hunting revolver. A scope on a gun like that just feels a bit comical, like why would I use that instead of a trail carbine if I want range, and the engraving and timber grips look so cool.

You could sneak attack critical some hapless ranger at higher levels, reverse pickpocket if you're against killing, or reliably pick up Hanlon's sequoia at the end of his quest should you choose to arrest him. Always expected some hotshot Legion character to be packing one as a trophy but I've never seen it
The AER-14 prototype is actually worse than the base game laser rifle, because if you modify the laser rifle with the focus optics and beam splitter mods (scope is optional) the rifle gains a 3x crit chance and more base damage (at full condition) than the unique, and if you get the scope for it the rifle gains long range capabilities the unique doesn’t have, plus you can get a laser rifle early by looting one off the dead brotherhood members at black mountain and repconn HQ or by finding one in the trailer park in nipton, while the unique can be found at vault 22 which makes it much harder to get

The Automatic Rifle aka the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) from Dead Money has bugged accuracy stats in vanilla (making it awful even for mid-range combat), but it was still one of my favorite weapons. All my Sierra Madre chips would be put towards purchasing .308 rounds and weapon repair kits from the vending machine in Elijah's bunker. I attended this year's Fallout Fan Celebration / Fallout NV Day in Goodsprings, Nevada and cosplayed as a ranger in my Elite Riot Gear. I saw so many NCR boys that I'm building my own NCR Support Gunner cosplay for 2025 - which I purchased an airsoft BAR for with real wood and metal. I love the heft, and I'm looking forward to hanging with other people representing the NCR while giving dirty looks to the Legion cosplayers.

Always thought it would be fun to put a bodykit on one of those webcam robots and participate remotely as a securitron. You make your armor with fiberglass or something else? That Gun is the best gun in the entire game. It will carry you even in the DLCs. It is extremely cheap and If you combine it with AP Rounds, you'll destroy everything. 12.7mm Pistol or its Lil Devil variant is worthless. And also, Heavy Incinerator is probably the best energy weapon in the game (count out Plasma Caster). All fire based weapons are great, and If you combine them with the Pyromaniac, you will chew through anything that comes in your way.
@@OXY187 Lil Devil might be the most disappointing purchase in the whole game, I had an Omerta gangster character that wore the pimpboy 3 billion, a collection of suits, had high luck and charisma, and used the Lil Devil. Flame weapons are weird in that they're an energy weapon but have most of the risks of explosives, but I forgot about Pyromaniac... I started a new character just in time to try it out, thanks :)

@JustAnotherTalkingHead Yeah, and the bent sight always bugged me , even though it's functional ( you have to use the right "wing" or whatever it's called), so having a similar gun with the same ammunition type and a scope would be nice (I started on Xbox 360, on which the scope wasn't a problem). Lore wise that would be fantastic, and really fits the boomers ideals and style
@zachcorpus6390 sometimes I think they just bent the sight to incentivize VATS-heavy builds 😂 To compensate for the inaccurate sights, I'll sometimes just hip-fire it in a situation where a shotgun would be ideal but I'm not using one for whatever reason
Survivalist Rifle is my favorite, it's literally a Service Rifle in 50 cal like you mentioned when talking about All American but it doesn't have a very unique look
one of the guns i dislike is big boomer because one you gotta kill old lady gibson for it and 2 at the point in the game where you are at novac a sawed off shotgun isnt of much use because you probably already have a service rifle or that gun
@oscarspokes9045 it's a good early 12ga weapon that will be easily outclassed by the first Hunting Shotgun you find, but I just grab it for evil runs because it's free. I think it may also be a holdout weapon but I can't remember. If so, a 12ga holdout weapon isn't bad but it also isn't silent so its uses are kinda limited. Unobtainable (similar to the Mysterious Magnum) in good karma runs.
Euclid's C-Finder is extremely underwhelming firepower in my opinion which makes acquiring it an extreme waste of time. Conceptually it's kinda neat, and from a writing aspect it's quite amusing that an orbital space laser gun which could be used to topple any major faction at almost any time is *totally unknown* by anyone (save Elijah and 2 Followers of Apocalypse) AND it's targeting device is just hidden/lost in some post-war slum. Bozar (New Vegas) is also very awkward to use and their are several legendary weapons which I just havent used because they get *heavily* outclassed by other weapons of the same category and/or don't fit my character RP.
@@JJSnake I think Viva New Vegas or one of the mods in Viva New Vegas makes the C-Finder a much more reasonable weight, greatly increasing its utility. I personally like the Bozar as a late game 5.56 sink during guns build playthroughs but it's not necessary, I just like it (to be fair VNV might buff that too but I'm not sure because I also remember the Bozar being a little disappointing when I first got it). I remember the C-Finder being little more than a trip hazard to the more serious Deathclaws 🤣🤣🤣 it did not do me any favors at deathclaw promontory

Great upload buddy. All American is not the best for sure. The varmint fifle or at least the ratslayer should've been in 30 cal. I always loved the look of the ratslayer but didnt use it due to the output. Also u dont need fancy edits. We all know what you're referring to.
@@patrickbateman773 I like it a lot more when it's chambered in .22lr, but I love it either way because so many games start you off with a pistol, but FNV gives you a reliable bolt-action with abundant ammo pretty quickly regardless of your build. I also love the Ratslayer and grab it as soon as possible for any guns or stealth build
Inever liked the All American. Like it's a unique variant make it without the scope. Leave the regular marksman carbine with a scope but give the unique one iron sights imo. Same reason I hate the bozar. If I want a scope I'll just a sniper rifle or put one on the 308 rifle. For me at least. I also never use the anti material rifle. For me This Machine with armor piercing 308s clears out quarry junction as good as 50 bmg lmao. But that's all my own experiences lmao.
@@HamanKarn567 I seem to remember way more people liking This Machine back in the day, it didn't get nerfed, so I don't know why it fell out of community favor. Maybe DLC weapons overshadowed it. My most serious NCR run included This Machine, Gobi Campaign rifle, and the Vikki/Vance 9mm SMG with Boone and I don't remember any challenging fights (OWB wasn't out yet, so no legendary bloatfly)
I've always played Fallout games in third person, and I disliked using most weapons with a scope outside the handful of sniper rifles because I didn't like not seeing my character when aiming down sights in combat. It's why the Survivalist Rifle became my go to rather than the All-American.

I only use the special nuke and other gra bugged ammo types for the ammo swap glitch fallout 4s weapon and legendary system is a joke almost all of them have random and terrible effects slapped on them with almost none of them being truly unique in any way no tri projectile emmiters for laser and plasma guns to recreate tribeam and multiplas rifles, or even the 9 laser ones like Metal Blaster and Protectrons Gaze not to mention that aside from the laser and plasma guns all the weapons look worse than their prior games equivalents
@@PseudoNym13 the post-NV powerfist and supersledge hurt my heart. I liked (at least the idea of) the laser musket, and it could've been cooler if Fallout 4 had NV's skill and crafting system.

i like using big boomer as a sidearm instead of another pistol, revolver, or small laser weapon. it does suck that it isnt that powerful though

@@patrickbateman773 I like it a lot more when it's chambered in .22lr, but I love it either way because so many games start you off with a pistol, but FNV gives you a reliable bolt-action with abundant ammo pretty quickly regardless of your build. I also love the Ratslayer and grab it as soon as possible for any guns or stealth build
My favorite gun is the holorifle it will literally be more powerful than the anti material rifle with mods and MC micro fusion cells

Inever liked the All American. Like it's a unique variant make it without the scope. Leave the regular marksman carbine with a scope but give the unique one iron sights imo. Same reason I hate the bozar. If I want a scope I'll just a sniper rifle or put one on the 308 rifle. For me at least. I also never use the anti material rifle. For me This Machine with armor piercing 308s clears out quarry junction as good as 50 bmg lmao. But that's all my own experiences lmao.
@@HamanKarn567 I seem to remember way more people liking This Machine back in the day, it didn't get nerfed, so I don't know why it fell out of community favor. Maybe DLC weapons overshadowed it. My most serious NCR run included This Machine, Gobi Campaign rifle, and the Vikki/Vance 9mm SMG with Boone and I don't remember any challenging fights (OWB wasn't out yet, so no legendary bloatfly)
I've always played Fallout games in third person, and I disliked using most weapons with a scope outside the handful of sniper rifles because I didn't like not seeing my character when aiming down sights in combat. It's why the Survivalist Rifle became my go to rather than the All-American.
@Gunslinger2580 Sounds way better too. I never realized the fix for the Survivalist's Rifle sights is switching to third person 😂

fallout 4s weapon and legendary system is a joke
almost all of them have random and terrible effects slapped on them with almost none of them being truly unique in any way
no tri projectile emmiters for laser and plasma guns to recreate tribeam and multiplas rifles, or even the 9 laser ones like Metal Blaster and Protectrons Gaze
not to mention that aside from the laser and plasma guns all the weapons look worse than their prior games equivalents
@@PseudoNym13 the post-NV powerfist and supersledge hurt my heart. I liked (at least the idea of) the laser musket, and it could've been cooler if Fallout 4 had NV's skill and crafting system.
