My first playthrough was with a very underleveled and generally very unprepared character. It was a complete nightmare. :D

@tannerbennett5602 Respect. Dead Money actually feels like an apocalypse between the sky, the air, the paranoia and so on. Ever try the Dust mod? Turns the whole Mojave into Dead Money and then some.

@@TheOther19 Concentrated fire from carbines and SMGs can definitely sting, I just meant being level 3 (give or take) and bumping into NCR hit squads before you even reach Nipton is more difficult than having zero faction enemies and only running into trouble with Vipers and Jackals between Primm and Vegas

@@lazarack4859 I never did anything with mutations, but I LOVE hunting for cybernetic parts and the books/resources to install them. I only managed to get finger blades on one character that wasn't already a cyborg but I didn't know a martial art that could make the most of it, and he died of an unrelated chest infection that never got better. Don't feel bad, I don't think anybody in the world can truly claim to be good at that game. These memories are really making me want to play again, and I'll be reinstalling tomorrow :)

@lazarack4859 You went bravely though 🫡 I tried to solo one with a homemade macuahuitl (one of those Aztec-style club sword things) and I got 3 good swings on him before he paralyzed me by mashing my spine into paste. It's definitely a game that rewards avoiding fights lol

@@rustyshackle8000 A good compromise, even if Salt-Upon-Wounds is likely to be executed by his own tribe or the frumentarii for his failure. Never understood why there isn't an option to just remain silent when he begs you to intervene though.

@@jackapope8118 Ssethtzeentach has a fun video on it if you wanted to know more. It has maybe the steepest learning curve of any game, but it's worth the time imo.

@JustAnotherTalkingHead The devs are allegedly making the game too focused on being "realistic" and focusing on supposedly making the game more closer to irl rather than I guess arcadey. Casual users like me have not noticed any difference at all tbh

@crowhorsecrowhorse1456 Ah. Understandable conflict, the game isn't super popular because it's the opposite of arcadey, but it's also truly special for that reason. I'll have to grab an updated version and check it out again. (I'm playing a version from like 2020)

@@JustAnotherTalkingHead imo some of the best additions have been the quests as I mentioned earlier. Starting as the default evacuee and then reading the console in the shelter starts you on it. It just helps guide the player to higher level labs and things where the really cool stuff is

it's hard to comment on, especially on the internet. you just never know what the powers that be will do next. that being said, knowledge is power and at least that's not illegal (yet).

Hahaha good to see ya again! It's the only Fallout game I figured I could fit into a reasonably-sized video. I may have been able to similarly play and beat Fallout 1 in about the same amount of time (Master's Army bad ending), but I didn't want to do the same bit twice

@@DirtyDev I like him because he's clearly an intelligent, resourceful, and implied to even be an alright guy based on how he helped Christine Royce. However his hateboner for the Courier is so strong that all those redeemable features fall to pieces as he comes off as an obsessed weirdo stalker in Lonesome Road. One of the best parts of Lonesome Road's writing in my opinion, is Ulysses's return to reason and lucidity soon after he talks to the Courier in person (should you choose that route), showing he never hated you, he hated what he thought you were. By getting to know you, he effectively cancels his plans for a second apocalypse when he realizes that would make him guilty of what he accuses you, the Courier of: acting without thinking and living without knowing.

@@memedealermikey I would be interested in how the Bethesda development process changed from Morrowind to Starfield. I wonder if they used to be more organized, used to have more talented people, or both? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Todd bragged about getting into Bethesda despite not having any relevant skills because he kept annoying them for a job? If he decides who becomes head writer then the degrading quality of Bethesda games definitely makes sense. On a side note, it broke my heart when they retconned the Fallout Bible. They talk about being confined to old lore like they're some kind of victim, but I've never seen a game company throw so much spite at the fans that propped them up.

@@ThexVaultxTech I think it's because there's s theme of good vs evil in Fallout 3, and characters like Three Dog treat you almost as if you're the only evil person in the setting if you go that route. In New Vegas, there's themes of tribalism, connections between people, politics, etc. and your actual karma takes a back seat to how people actually feel about you. The Legion doesn't care if you're good or evil, just that you get results, and the NCR is ultimately the same way. No organization in FNV is fully good or evil, and I think a ton of people appreciated that nuance and realism. The older games a had alot of that too and that's also why Fallout 3 feels really out of place for some people. None of this is to say Fallout 3 is bad, I love Fallout 3. In my experience, the subjective portrayal of morality is more realistic, and therefore makes it more immersive, more to fun to roleplay, and allows for a TON more debate/discussion. Just my opinion though.

@MrMoo_Cosplay He's a solid choice because he does have a plan that's been in the making for a very long time, but after doing a House playthrough or two, I just realized it condemns the Courier to being Mr. House's lapdog forever, and he only offers what Clanden is already getting from the Omertas, and he presumably does far less work. He also acts like he's your savior for having Vic bring you to Mitchell's, but then sends you on multiple high-risk missions when he literally has legions of combat robots. Then he jingles keys in your face talking about life-extension tech but never at any point pays you enough for a single cybernetic upgrade from a run-down clinic with hobo graffiti on the windows, nor did he ever offer or try to give you any of his supposed cutting-edge medical care to remove the bullet fragments from your head. Flexes spending something to the tune of a quarter-million caps (if I'm not mistaken) on recovering the chip but can't help but lowball you on a delivery fee. Knocking him off his high-horse feels so good

@@vincentbaelde-millar670 I do absolutely love Fallout 4/76 power armor mechanics, except for the longevity (or lack thereof) of fusion cores. The Brotherhood airship was the 'jumping the shark' moment for me. Based on the outcome of Broken Steel, why would the Brotherhood repeat their enemy's mistakes and concentrate all their forces to a single giant vehicle with a comparitively light escort? And why is it an airship? An aircraft carrier, like Rivet City, or even a reconstructed Enclave mobile base crawler would have been less ridiculous in my opinion. Could've also shown how the Brotherhood broke bad by violently annexing Rivet City, or by continuing Enclave experiments/policies after taking their tech or learning what they knew. Furthermore, where did the hundreds (at least) of viable Enclave power armor suits go exactly? I don't think a single member of the Brotherhood is equipped with it in Fallout 4

@@Stahlvanten the 12.7mm SMG is already op without Grunt, but it's basically a debug weapon in the hands of a Guns 100 Grunt. The game is a bit more balanced without the grunt perk in that sense

@@Stahlvanten yeah it's a liability for faction-loyal playthroughs, that's for sure "Your wild, seemingly capricious behavior leaves people scratching their heads in confusion and avoiding close contact."

@@Name-ck9pv Bethesda has been just been casually committing fraud with extra steps in my opinion. I remember TONS of pro-Bethesda, pro-Starfield content on youtube, both videos and comments around Starfield's release, a lot of it weirdly salty towards 'haters'. Where's all the praise for Starfield now? The PR budget must've dried up. I love your point about toxic positivity, I really do. Remember when they tried to get away with false advertising with Fallout 76, or how they fought tooth and nail every step of the way against doing literally anything nice, anything to make things right for the people who paid good money for their clearly bad product? That whole era of bethesda and what they did to Fallout (on top of some other personal stuff to be honest) really made me a negative person for years. Then to see Emil taking shots at the fans even after that made me realize these arrogant pricks think they're untouchable, too big to fail. Perhaps they are, but I really hope not. Any moment they stumble or squirm is sweet, but we'll only have our victory when we get Fallout games that are as good or even better than New Vegas, with or without bethesda as we know it.

@@InternetPWNER I have good news bro, if your max level was 30 then you still have some of the best DLCs ever made to try out! That is unless you played a Logan's Loophole character. With all of the DLCs installed, your max level cap should be 50 and you'll also have a bunch of new perks for new and improved builds. Hopefully you can fall in love with FNV all over again, but if you already knew that and just don't want the DLC, then I'm sorry for droning on.

Sorry I didn’t clarify , I do have all the dlcs and I even unlocked all the achievements, It was just my first playthrough and I didn’t have the dlcs at that time. good work on your channel ,really liking the content.

Then began the good karma legion playthrough
