Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatu, Sheikh, I'm in awe of your simple but amazing explanation, there's a lot of insight in it, definitely a tool that helped me to memorize the Quran has been learning the meaning of the surah and each ayah. Jazakallahu Khairan for your teaching, may Allah ﷻ allow us all to memorize the Qur'an with the help of your recommendations.

And if you wanna take it yet another level up, make a dedicated notebook where you write what you memorize.
Never tried that one but it sounds more interesting for these who are good are wiring and reading etc
1) 95% see and recite.
5% do it by not seeing .
Literally get it imprinted in your brain(the page)
(know the starting , the middle and the ending of the ayah).
*(the 1 step involves reading the ayah by seeing)
2) read the surah so much that u know what's the next ayah is
and u don't have to think.
(The 2 step involve reading the ayah without seeing )
* read it to someone enough time
*read enough times that it becomes impossible for you to make mistakes
3) understand its meaning very well that u don't mix the ayahs.
JazaakaLLAH khayran shaykh, this video really means a lot to me and I’d love to adopt the three inn shaa ALLAH. But pls shaykh, in the 2nd level of memorization, must you read it to someone every time or just sometimes

I started learning Quran part time last year March. Thus far I managed to memorise 40 short surahs.
In terms of duration & surahs. Would you say that I'm doing okay or that my progress is slow? Kindly advise, I will be extremely grateful if you respond Insha Allah.

The same happened with me. I too would recite the ayahs that start with a "waw" with a "fa" & vice versa.

Ya sheikh. when you say read, do you mean reading off by heart or reading off the mushaf
I think he meant look into the Mus’haf and read it. So the more you look at the Quran, that ayah/surah/juz will be fixed in your mind. So you have photographic memory.
In one other video related to hifz ustaz taught us to engage as much senses as you can. Use your finger to point at the ayah, look at the Quran etc… this helps concentrate and overcome distractions. 😊
