    Just bought a pair of the GTS, and they were worth every penny. I've had PTTD from pronating issues for a LONG time, and it had gotten very painful to walk. These shoes feel amazing. They are fixing some major issues.

      Same story except mine was peroneal tendinitis. These shoes are amazing! I was wearing Ghost 14’s which are great, but on long distances I was getting peroneal tendonitis. Switched to the Glycerin 21 GTS and can’t be happier!

    Got to try these and if you’ve tried guide rails before in the older glycerin or adrenaline and Hyperion gts and have constantly felt those guide rails before so did I and I barely felt the guide rails at all the adrenaline and Hyperion gts both dig into my flat feet and low arches and didn’t feel anything in these, which was so nice for a change. That being said it does feel less supportive and doesn’t fit as snug the 21 is definitely wider which is great for some people.
    It is really weird we have these at fleet feet already but we only have one color and it’s not great… so lots of people are not buying it. Idk why brooks would release shoe with 1 color way… that’s just silly

    Great comparison. I may get the Glycerin GTS 21 as I need some stability. Not sure why Brooks doesn't use a gusseted tongue, though, like most running shoes do nowadays.

    I've been in the adrenaline for many years. I'm getting sesamoiditis and leaning more towards extra cushion. I'm assuming I'm looking in the right place with the Glycerin over Adrenaline?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is correct. The Glycerin GTS is a more cushioned version of the Adrenaline.

    I own 3 pairs of auroras. One I retired at 500 miles, and two I have 150 miles each on. I own this glycerin gts, and have purchase 2 other nitrogen infused brooks shoes. My problem is I find them just too firm. Why can’t they make something similar in feel to the aurora, or make an aurora 2

    Kayano 30 vs Glycerin GTS 21?
    What are the biggest differences?
    Which is more dynamic and which do you recommend?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello! The Kayano 30 is a more medial-focused support shoe with a medial wedge and wide heel base. The Brooks Glycerin GTS 21 has guide rails on both the lateral and medial sides that assist with both supination and pronation prevention. The Glycerin has a bit more "pop" with the nitrogen-injected midsole to it in my opinion. Hope that helps!

    Does the Glycerin 21 have a narrower sole? I’ve tried on the GTS and it’s a perfect width but I need the arch support from the normal glycerin.

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Glycerin 21 and Glycerin GTS 21 fit the same. We recommend sticking with the GTS if you need the arch support. The Go-To-Support Guiderails add extra support and stability. The extra support will help your knees, hips, and joints move the way they naturally do.

    I overpronate, i’m on the fence between Kayano 30 & Glycerin GTS 21. Which one would you recommend?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would have to say the Kayano. The Asics is more overpronation-focused in regards to the targeted support it provides. I would have to say the Brooks Glycerin is a great all-around support option. Hope this helps!

    how it’s compare with ghost max? do you think brooks will come out with glycerin max?

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Ghost Max includes a lower heel-to-toe drop (6mm) compared to the new Glycerin which has a a 10mm drop. The Ghost Max fits a bit wider and on the plusher side compared to the new Glycerin 21. We don't foresee a "Glycerin Max" coming out in the future, though you never truly know what they have cooking up in Seattle these days.

    I just bought my 1st pair of Glycerin 20s..I like them but I do feel the cushion is harder than Asics Gel Nimbus 25 or the Kayano 28 and 29. I tried the GTS 21 GTS and it hurt. So I sent it back and may do the regular Glycerin 21. I am I neutral gate guy with medium Arches..I am on Concrete all day 5 days a week 9 hours a day..I feel like the Kayano 29 and the Glycerin are good for that. I tried the Kayano 30 and I don't think it is even the same shoe. Didn't like it. I also am usually an 11 XW, but was able to wear the the Glycerin 20 in 11 wide because of the upper. I may try the 21 in 11.5 wide because the GTS 21 felt to snug..any thougts on good concrete support..use to wear 880s for years. As always love your channel and your honestly and willingness to talk about the shoes. Blessings

    • @hamerac
      @hamerac 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you think the Glycerin is softer at all or just more stack? I know it felt tighter on my foot in the same size as the 20..11 w. Again I am normally an 11 XW

    • @hamerac
      @hamerac 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also I really feel like the Kayano 28 and 29 don't feel like it a stability shoe hardly at all not much more of a neutral shoe with stability

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The new 1080v13 from New Balance is a great alternative to the Glycerin and Kayano. It is a neutral cushion like the Glycerin (non-GTS) but has a slightly softer foam. Another shoe to check out with a softer foam is the Mizuno Wave Sky 7. It is another popular maximum neutral cushion shoe for standing/walking on your feet all day. Lastly, we recommend checking out the Hoka Bondi 8. If you can get used to the lower heel drop and MetaRocker platform of Hoka shoes, this is our most popular neutral shoe for people who walk around on concrete all day.

      @hamerac 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RunMoore thank you so much for your reply! Would you still recommend any of those shoes you mentioned if you were suffering from a little bit of plantar fasciitis? I have been off and on just a little bit on my right foot which I believe is my more dominant leg and foot and maybe even shaped a little differently because the lacing is always just a tad different for me and how tight I can go on the right foot. I usually to have to go just a tad looser across the top of the foot on the right foot. I would be willing to try the 1080. actually thought about trying a really good neutral shoe and stability shoe like the gel Kayano 29-31. I'm not sure I gave the 30 a fair deal. Just a little bit of stability seems to help on those long days on the concrete. Any more information you have time to give is greatly appreciated.

    • @hamerac

      I also just sent the Brooks Glycerin 20s back my heel has been killing me for 2 days after wearing them for 3 days straight at work. Up to that point I have worn nothing but gel Kayano 29s. My foot is better gel Kayano 29s at home around the house. I'm wearing the pair that I bought in June of last summer and they last me through december. I have another pair that I bought in January that is also starting to break down a little bit on the inside so that's why I'm looking to get at least two more pairs of shoes and start rotating shoes every other day or every 3 days. I am 57 years old and not heavy and in good shape. But I haven't been on my feet like this in a long time every day for 40 hours a week or more. I am very serious about taking care of my feet. I went through a health issue a couple years ago where I had to relearn to walk. Through that entire time I rotated two pairs of gel Kayano 28. There were some of the most amazing feeling shoes I had ever wore even though I'm a neutral shoe person. So that kind of tells you where I'm at. Still thinking about trying the gel Kayano 31. But would you go with anything that has a lower drop with any kind of lingering or recurring plantar issues on one of your feet?

    I got the glycerin 20s last year in which I thought they were going to be like the ones I've had prior. When I began to wear them I thought they were a little bit more stiff than the ones I had before. Now working a different job than I did last yr, these shoes are not cutting it. My heal and back calf are hurting everyday (I was a teacher, now working housekeeping -37 yrs old)...
    I just found out there are basically 4 different types on Glycerin 21s. Which one am I suppose to get??? I want a more bouncy smooth flow like I did with my first pair I had yrs prior.

    Is the gts better than the hoka Gaviota 5

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Glycerin GTS and Gaviota are both very comparable shoes. If you have a wide foot and need the extra toe space, we recommend trying out the Gaviota. It runs wide naturally and is also offered in a wide width. The biggest complaint we get about the Gaviota is how bulky of a shoe it is. If you want a more streamlined shoe that is lighter, we recommend the Glycerin GTS.

    To make the thick shoe light they are making it firm, negating the effect of high cushion… seen it in kayano 30…
