Omg thank you so much for this video! The little piece of paper the box gave me I didn’t understand anything. You made it so simple and straightforward thank you seriously
Thank you Tamara for the comment! I'm glad it helped! Yes I was confused too when I tried to learn how to set it up so I had to make my own video to show it simple and easy.
Omg thank you sir ♡ ♡ ♡ I have several kittens that need trapped socialized and re-homed! Borrowed several traps but forgot to ask them how to set em lol We appreciate you 😊
Thank you!!!!! After battling the cage for an hour I was hoping I could find some help on TH-cam. I never would have figured it out!!! I live in a trailer park with many feral and kittens! My cute cats passed away over six months ago. So miss Elmer fudd is going hunting for kitties! ❤🐾💕😅
This is the most important video on the internet , the damn piece of paper that was suppose to be the assemble instruction is totally useless , thank you for the video.
important to understand animals (even "dumb" rabbits) learn about the trigger paddle after their friends get trapped.. so for better results, put a towel inside to cover it up
Thank you so much, I have received an instruction paper but still couldn't figure it out without looking at this video first! Wish me luck into catching the stray cat🍀
Thank you Michael! Yes, when I bought it, I had the same issue....I'm usually pretty good with instructions but had no idea how to set it up. So once I figured it out, I thought I'd just make a video to clearly show how to set it up. Best of luck Michael!
Excellent video. The instructions with my Pet Republic trap (which looks just like this one) were pretty crappy. These visuals helped me tremendously. I am preparing trapping and spaying/neutering fetal cats in my community. Sadly, my trigger/step plate won't stay up and my trap keeps closing on its own. Looks like I may need to make some modifications. It's not working.
Thank you for the tutorial I just got a free trap yesterday my neighbor gave it to me because he was moving away I can use this with my bug out survival kit I can use it trap small game for food, squirrel, porcupine, beaver, rabbits etc if I trap someone's pet I will definitely release it
Thank you so much for this video. It helped me tremendously because the instructions was useless. I only have one question how do I safely release the animal once in the cage
You'll need to wear those animal gloves, then squeeze the latch in the front door inwards to raise the front cage door. The animal will be glad to run out. Another good idea is to cover the cage with a blanket to reduce stress and when the opening door opens, it'll be clear for the animal to see the way out.
You will release the metal pin in the back door. When you release the metal pin, simply back away and the animal will push the back door and it will fall open.
Thanks for asking! For kittens that small you won't need a large cage obviously so any small trap cages will work just fine. Something like 16x6x6.25 inches or so. Here's an example on amazon: amzn.to/2VW3qKZ
The best way is to open the back door. Just remove the steel pole at the back from the hinges and the back door will be able to open. Always use gloves too when working with catching strays/animals. I use cat gloves which are bite proof material.
The way you put the rod in to lock the back door was just a joke right😂you slide the rod through the hole in the metal plate, then through the two crimps on the back door and then back through the second metal plate. The other end with the hook should be on the outside of the door and stretched up and hooked on the side wall so it is tight and will not come off👍
These small animal trap cages are a great way to catch feral cats, raccoons, squirrels, groundhogs, other small animals. This is a video to show you how to set up the cage. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

@@breakaway2x Yes, I know, but that would set me back at least 20 bucks or more, and such gloves would decrease my dexterity which I need in dealing with the door and latch...What I'm saying is that available in the market is a trap with a solid door which provides more protection. Also, what if you're dealing with a hissing mad skunk? Would "protective" gloves help you against such an animal?
@@ihytvm Well then, your only other option is to politely yet firmly ask the critter to leave Most of the time they will as long as you're nice about it
The one I bought is a Twocorn. Ridiculous chines interpretation of English instructions. Also, It appears that the rear door is to be permanently secured. This is what should be used to easily and safely release the animal. Any advise on this? Im not going to get near the mad animal to release the same way that it got in. I thinkl I actualy hit the dislike button but yur instructions were clear although my cage is different
trap cages should always have a back door access/ release open. If it really doesn't and it's welded solid, then the only way is to put on protective gloves (the long ones that go up your arms) and then open the cage from the front.

Thank you so much for this. As you predicted, the trap turned up with no instructions, but thanks to you I figured it out. Now to get 5 kittems....

Omg you are my hero I’ve been trying to work it out for hours with no instructions 😂
aw thank you kitty!
❤ thank you so much, the instructions were so clear and good.
thank you Pony!
This was a lifesaver. The instructions made absolutely no sense and I’m usually pretty good at figuring these things out. Thanks.

Ditto. The instructions for my trap were terrible. I figured it out on my own....for the most part. This video filled the gaps. Many thanks.
Thank you for sharing these instructions. Amazon does a horrible job and allows sellers to not send written instructions for the animal traps
Thanks so much for the easy instruction. It was a lot easier to set up than I thought.
Thank you Kim!
We are a kitten rescue, never seen the older. Have a heart traps, this helps so much. Thank you thank you thank you
Glad it helped! I hope you'll continue to save many more kittens' lives! Thank you!

Dude you made setting this is up easier than the Chinese instructions I got.

Thanks so much and I now have it set up and ready to go. The instructions were totally useless.

aw that's very nice of you!
I assume once you catch the animal, you pull out the back metal rod for the back door to open. Is that correct?
Correct! Back side is for release/exit, front size is for entrance and capture.
@@breakaway2x Thank you!!

It would be helpful if you show us how to secure the back there is two tiny holes but just one is used or? Thanks in advance.
Thank you!
Thank you for making this. You have to be a mechanical engineer with a secondary degree in Chinglish to set these things up.
You're welcome! Thank you
I need to trap some wild kittens, they are probably 12 to 16 weeks old, what size cage do I need?
Thanks for asking! For kittens that small you won't need a large cage obviously so any small trap cages will work just fine. Something like 16x6x6.25 inches or so. Here's an example on amazon: amzn.to/2VW3qKZ
Thanks for the video! Got one from JT Eaton and had no directions and the video they have was useless.
How do you open the door to release an animal without being bitten?
The best way is to open the back door. Just remove the steel pole at the back from the hinges and the back door will be able to open. Always use gloves too when working with catching strays/animals. I use cat gloves which are bite proof material.
My L plate on my cage in so sensitive it does not need the plate to be touched, it will just go. that is worrying. It is a Ant March one.
check to see the metal hook that is holding the step plate up. You might be able to adjust the metal hook so the L plate is not so sensitive.
Mahalo and Aloha
aloha! I wish to visit Hawaii !
How many price
It is around $35-$50 usd depending on the size you want.
how to release?
you can slide the pin out from the back and the back door opens.
The way you put the rod in to lock the back door was just a joke right😂you slide the rod through the hole in the metal plate, then through the two crimps on the back door and then back through the second metal plate. Umm, no thanks. Imagine having to stick your hand on that porous trapdoor to release an angry rabbit feral cat, growling and hissing inside.
They have something called, "protective gloves". ^^. You should never use your bare hands.
