    Really decent summary and an excellent intro for someone who's tilt rotator curious - looking at getting their first. We have no skin in the tilt rotator game, but we think they are excellent and we build a lot of Scandi-style trenching and ditching buckets for them.
    One more thing for people to consider, in terms of the overall cost, is also what it can save. Any attachment which you'd want to tilt or rotate - grabs, grading beams, tree shears etc. etc. - don't need to have any expensive tilt or rotation add-ons.

    I’ve got an Engcon being fitted to my Cat 303.5 in Australia today partly based on the advice from you Ollie.. I’m very excited to see what it can do for my business.

      That's great, glad I could help. You wont look back. They do take a few days to get used to, but once you get your head around being able to attack the work in a different way to what you have been used to - you'll love it.

      @@OlliegunnsI think so. They are slow to be accepted here but I have been studying them for some time and can see how every day they could make my work easier and with less manual labour also. I’ll let you know how I go ! Thanks Ollie

    Another great vid! lots of helpful information.
    I would love for you to do a more in depth review of the rototilt in specifically as they are less common brand near me but seem like they offer a lot of great features.

    Have you looked at the MIC4.0 system I like the look of it for not having to dismantle a new cab to fit a tiltrotator and it should give one place to look for warranty issues

    Thank you for the info, my Steelwrist is due to be installed on my Doosan dx35z-7 this coming Wednesday. Glad I went with Steelwrist buckets, my dealership was at first trying to get me to go with Werk Brau.

    Wot du U charge extra for tilt rotor??

    • @Olliegunns
      @Olliegunns  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I first got my unit installed, I didn't charge anything extra for the first few hires whilst I got the hang of how to really use it. Once my customers saw what I could do with it, I put my price up 20% and none of them argued. I've also found I now get longer duration hires - and at a better rate. But appreciate that's not how it is for everyone

    If looking for simple rotating tilt coupler without bells and whistles, i would recomend to look furter then bigname brands if on budget. Lots of attachement manufacturers make them. Im from estonia and i now for example Tarfin dot ee s40 size would be priced in four digit euros / half of encon. Its just tilt coupler with rotator bolted in middle, every attachement maker should manage that.

    Just from the look of it, it's too big for the excavator.🤨

      Unfortunately that is often the case with a tilt rotator. but that said so long as you're careful you can still get a lot more done with a heavy tiltrotator then without. Sometime you get a sweet spot on the size, like a Cat 310 with the R3 would be fantastic.
