    Went there when I was in the 5th grade ( wayyyy back in the day.). To see the artifacts and tribal attire. The natives and different tribes were amazing.

    Thank you so much for posting these kinds of videos Suzanne. I live in Australia, and absolutely LOVE seeing all the beautiful houses and towns over there.
    In my past life I swear I was from a little town in the South, seeing this video makes me feel at home 🌻😊💛

    I live in the wrong part of the country. I love all the old homes you show on your channel. Yo just don’t see architecture like that anymore.

      No you don't Pamela. Even the buildings in the towns are more gorgeous. Nothing like that is being built nowadays.

      Lake Guntersville is a beautiful place. Then there's Honeycomb, Grant, Arab, and other areas. I'm sure that you guys have been to Cathedral Cavern. I've been living in different places in Alabama because you can get so many different experiences. Especially the weather, North Alabama you can get snow or drive south to some of the beautiful beaches. Enjoyed your video.

    I am glad y’all liked it! I am hitting up Guntersville next! There’s some old historic cemeteries down there towards Greensboro also. When you have homes like that I would think they expect tourist.

    Hey Suzanne, those homes are magnificent! Here is another thing you and I have in common, I love being “nosey” at other people’s homes. I like to ride by at night and see if I can see into the windows at their decor and dang it when people draw their shades!

    Did the shot hurt? They always do. The needle is 3inches long!!! I wanted to tell you , our kids are in North Carolina right now. But they will be coming to Alabama . My daughter has been home schooling my granddaughters for years and there is a Home School Prom in Huntsville at Round House Historic DePot. on the 23 rd of April. The place is sold out. Who knew there was so many kids in that area. She will be 16 on the 14 th of April. They got a prom dress while in Des Moines. She looks so pretty. I am a proud Grandma. and so happy she got to get a prom dress. Just thought I would tell you. Look out Alabama!! Joyce

      He sprays my foot first and numb it so it doesn't hurt too bad. But they haven't helped too much!
      And yes we go to Huntsville occasionally! It's about 1 1/2 hours from us. A very fast growing town in Alabama.

    I always love going on a field trip with you and John. I had never heard of this Indian Civilization…wow! It is so much fun seeing all the beautiful homes. Alabama looks like such a beautiful state, maybe one day I will get there.

  • @DeborahLynnRivera
    @DeborahLynnRivera 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    How beautiful those homes & yards are!❤️
    I love them so much! I appreciate your sharing with us & I have always loved the Indian history. Whenever I see actual items that were used I feel such an awe awareness…those who created the item, their DNA possibly still embedded in or on that item, who were they & what was their life like? I love it.
    The mounds…we have some not far from where I live. Actually I grew up in what is called West Middletown, Ohio, about 5 miles west of where I live here in Middletown, where Indian tribes lived, fought & died. Our house was on a hill & I often wondered if Indians lived there at one time. Growing up our field trips from school would be a trip to Fort Ancient where the mounds are I mentioned. We were always told that the mounds were actual burial places. I always imagined several bodies buried in each mound. Fort Ancient as I remember it was small, there is a small museum I’ve never been to & the rest of the area is just natural surroundings of trees, hills & streams. 🥰
    Your steaks look so good! Best steak around here I can get it seems is from Cracker Barrel! It’s pretty good! They’re only about a mile or so from my house…..along with many other restaurants. This place can get fattening! On a nice Summer evening I can go outside & feel like I could gain about 10 pounds from just smelling the night air! Steak, fries, pizza,…..& ice cream from DQ, Steak N Shake, & some other places….us fat people need extra prayer & willpower!
    Thanks again for sharing!!!
    Love y’all! Hugs n blessin’s

    • @SuzanneLight
      @SuzanneLight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh Debbie we love to eat out and I know it's so much more fattening! The steaks were delicious!
      And the Indian area was so interesting! We don't appreciate the history around us as much as we should.
      And I definitely want to go to Ohio to Amish country one day!
